  1. 1. I don't know Shapes and Forms; neither do I know ba zi and Flying Star. But I insist that you must tell me how to have good Feng Shui! 2. Without good recipes or methods like Flying Star and ba zi, how are you going to have good situational awarness that can result in good Feng Shui? Are you dreaming?
  2. 1. If I want to sell something can I use Feng Shui as an excuse? 2. Is Feng Shui a CURE ALL for everything? YES / NO?? Don't Know??
  3. Unlike the rest of other imitation Feng Shui ring, this RING is for real! This "RING" allows my child to enjoy himself whole-heartedly! i.e. the stadium ring...
  4. I am a child. But I am trying to rescue my parents marriage! Mum, dad.. here I come.....................................
  5. The scope of Chinese Metaphyics is based on the holy trinity of luck:- a. Born with (ba zi) The ba zi or commonly known as Four Pillars or Pillars of destiny has its own tools which include things like : when is your romance period (and how good or how bad it is), your personal compatiblity, your luck and destiny. b. Feng Shui (home & office) In general, it affects your general wealth luck and sometimes, romance luck can be looked at and fine tuned. For example, certain homes have bad Shapes and Forms that can affect romance luck. While applying Flying star can detect and help to properly cure bad stars like #3 (romance, lawsuits, entanglements etc..). c. Human or man luck factors This category is primarily based on the individual's behavour . Other than this, Chinese metaphyics is not a "cure all" for everything under the sun. And particularly Para a. and b. needs analysis and depends on the quality of "work done" and recommendations (if any) made.
  6. 1. Under Five Elements concepts, it is acceptable for strong earth to be associated with wood. As wood derives nurishment from earth. 2. Ba zi is more to do with an individual and dressing e.g. is one consideration. For example, water represents: black, blue or grey. 3. For the home, usually Compass School Feng Shui especially the Flying Star and other concepts take precedence, first priority over one's ba zi element.
  7. 1. In Flying Star Feng Shui, overall, the base star although is not considered by some as a "shining" star is neverthless a component of the full 20 Year Flying Star. 2. Of course, the main emphasis is still the Mountain # and Water #. And there is such thing as the 81 combinations : of the interaction of both the mountain and water #. 3. Look at it like this: In general, the base star although some consider it less important is still an ingredient in the "life" of a 20 Year Flying Star. Literally, can you do without blood? Our body needs blood rich in iron to survive. And although the base star is not "blood" it is part and parcel of the full component. 4. In mathematics, the twenty year Flying star numbers: Base# Water# and Mountain# are like x , y and z algebra components. 5. The famous Einstein's theory E = MC squared. Thus if the base is say any one of the M or C or E? Can Einstein's theory work? 6. Thus, you cannot say that base # is not important as without it, there is one less variable in the "academic mathematical" model. 7. Therefore, when a "cure" is considered for the average home based on the 20 year flying star, base star is equally important! There are sectors that have nasty MS#9 with WS#5 and when we consider base#5 , wow! this is really bad. 8. Of course, base star is not the shinning star like MS# and Water#. For example in a company or business, high flyers such as Marketing people often get very high rewards because they are suppose to bring in or clinch deals. If you are in support e.g. as a logistics officer in the company, here you are only "burning" the company's money. 9. For banks: a Marketing officer is highly regarded and often well rewarded in the past. But a backroom staff, clearing cheques or doing backroom work is also working. But can you say that you should not hire or worse sack the backroom staff? They are performing a job function also. Although they may not necessarily be in the forefront. Some companies call these people "unsung heroes". While others say these people are a "burden" to the company.
  8. Please go read this article written by Robert Lee:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=2&mid=23906&new= At Geomancy.net we cannot control how others interpret their ba zi, but we certainly are aware of many of the issues and concerns. And at the same time, we are very serious in the quality of our reports. Many, many years of research, development and fine tuning that went into it.
  9. 1. Usually, the "rule of thumb" is a home + yang qi or with human activity. 2. Thus, it makes some sense that although the home was constructed under Period 7, however, human activity = yang qi is only present after we have moved-in. 3. Nevertheless, if one were to apply Flying Star chart to such a home; never never assume that the home is a Period 7 or 8 totally. Thus, if one were to do such an analysis, best to draw two flying star charts for the home. In many instances, as the years go by, a competent practitioner (or with commonsense anyone) can compare both charts to see which is more "accurate".
  10. 1. There is the "physical" Feng Shui items e.g. for activating a mountain such as a real wall or a brick or a rock or even a safe can represent it. 2. Another category of Feng Shui is known as "SYMBOLISM". Thus, the mountain picture you mentioned symbolises a mountain. Even a picture of the undulating great wall of China picture may act as a "mountain". It does not have to be a REAL mountain. 3. Thus, to activate a water position, the most common traditional method is a painting such as this attached 9 fishes on each side "meeting" each other.... Thus, it symbolises "a metal-water" feature.
  11. Interview excerpts with the MD of the Feng Shui Emporium:- Interviewer: "Sir! Why is the "US" so huge and "you" so small? " MD: "Under Symbolism in Feng Shui, I was told the bigger the fatter MY FISH (which means "US" the better!) While I remembered "YOU" should be small." Interviewer: " Now I understand! Can I ask you a favour? " MD: " Sure! Go Ahead!" Interviewer: " Thanks! In this case, I am asking a refund of $56,000 for all the useless products my wife purchased from YOU! I mean US, no I mean U. What ever "
  12. Even in a recession, see how this "parasite" makes more money!
  13. Let me share with you what I have seen recently in a Feng Shui Emporium's Managing Director aka MD or Mad Dog's private office... sssshhhhhh!
  14. Reference report:- http://talk.geomancy.net 1. Under the productive cycle of the Five Elements concept, as a weak wood person, water helps the wood to "grow". 2. While under the destructive cycle, metal (axe or knife) can easily "terminate" a (weak) wood.
  15. 1. In this economic climate, we have to be more vigilant - and if we still have a job, and holding on to it.. then, just be patient. 2. Technically, based on the Five Elements concept, yes, a weak wood person needs "water" element to improve it. 3. A weak wood person is like a small plant. And needs constant "watering" to grow the plant. 4. Thus the best element for a weak wood is water element. Water careers range from Communications to Computer Programming to Beverage industry etc... 5. Under the Five elements concept, metal element is considered not suitable for a weak wood person. Just imagine an axe or even a blade can easily chop off a small plant. While as mentioned above, water element on the contrary should benefit a weak wood person. Dear Master, I am aware that different jobs are suitable for different elements. Im born 1984 Sep 27, 2:30AM. I was told before that my element is WOOD, and i am generally a weakWOOD & weak in FIRE. Shd I be avoidin METAL & WATER element related jobs? I am currently in the Insurance industry. Insurance is considered as a METAL job? May I ask, what kind of jobs are suitable fora WOOD element? Thanks! Jason
  16. I am very, very afraid, that oil from the ground may run out before I retire! Even if my geomancer says oil is still good; my heart says go with AIG! With tax payer's money... what can go wrong? RITE?
  17. 1. In the past, "cash cow" or cosy jobs are those at the oil companies.... 2. Today, even if I resigned from AIG, I also get a bonus based on my contract with them! Tax payer's money - well spent rite? Who cares! It's in my pocket! No tax, please!
  18. 1. Frankly, what you are asking is : I post this layout with my compass direction and you tell me where is it best for me to place a water feature. 2. Please note that this is a Free General Advise forum. 3. Your layout and compass directions are so specific to your case only. 4. Little wonder that no matter which website you try to find your answers, it has to be tailored to your layout and specific compass direction. There is no two ways about. 5. Imagine, if everyone post a layout plan, and expect specific answers... this is not the agenda of this forum. (Newbie or no newbie. There are other avenues including finding your Feng Shui practitioner - if you want to do so.) Alternatively, the cheapest way is "go with your own feelings" - aka Trial and error Feng Shui.
  19. 1. Frankly, it is best to check with your friend further as it is difficult for me to comment on just a few sentences. 2. However, often tilting if it is the main door can only be temporary - unlike tilting the entire home say 7.5 degrees towards another facing direction. 3. Thus, since your friend is in the know, best to check with him further. 4. If you are or your friend is based his advise to "tlit" based on Compass School of Feng Shui, then, make sure that the exact compass readings are taken. I hope it is not like a novice taking a compass reading and then finding that it is "wrong". There are proper ways to take a reading and it should be adhered to.
  20. 1. Further to what I had mentioned, in the past, Feng Shui is about the "big picture" or macro Feng Shui. 2. Where should be site the back (backyard) of the home. And not just micro Feng Shui i.e. interior of the home. 3. Thus, in this BIG picture, if the back of the home as a mountain star, better still
  21. 1. No, one of the places that is symbolic of a mountain is the back of the house. 2. I was giving you the above as an example because you mentioned an shelving and I mentioned that if it is an open shelf, it should not in general be considered as a mountain. But if the shelf is placed against a wall, then this is the mountain. Thus, where did I say that only the back of the housecan only be or activate the mountain? 3. Thus, please don't anyhow put "words into" my mouth
  22. 1. No. A shelf e.g. those Ikea open shelving should not be considered as a mountain. 2. But if it is behind a full wall, yes. The wall is considered a "mountain". For example, in the past, many of the messages would convey the idea that a mountain can be activated especially if this is the back of the house. Even a back-door can be considered a mountain. 3. Contrary to popular belief, a mountain need not be made of "gold" or the common highly marked up "purple amertyst stone" that looks like a real mountain. A mountain can be as simple as a piece of brick, or smooth sea-side stones as large as a person's heart.
  23. 1. After a home has been built, it is much harder to change the location especially of the sewerage pipe connected to both your WC. 2. Of course, if a proper Feng Shui analysis has been done; normally, it would be recommended not to have both the WC's on each side of the main entrance door. But, after the home has been built, either have to live with it or do corrective actions. 3. Corrective actions may not be needed if there are no further "wealth leaks" in the home. And some homes can still sustain toilet(s) at the frontage and still survive. While some homes may face problems especially related to both wealth and career issues. 4. The second issue of the "top" of the stair-case facing the wash-basin is tine. More to do with psychology then Feng Shui.
  24. Honestly, you may to use some of the following key success factors in maximizing the luck of your home:- http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/Main_Page#Key_Success_Factors_in_D.I.Y._Feng_Shui
