  1. Whatever, concept one uses, the Key Success factors will still be the following:- * The Concept of Maximizing Marks * The Concept of Feng Shui by Exception * The Customer Engineer Concept * Fix-the-Leak, First! * The Three-Step-Approach Good Feng Shui is about maximizing the "Good Feng Shui " score. Much like Doctors who say that about good and bad "fats". Make sure that you have more good fats (cholestrol) than bad ones...
  2. This is a recent reply to the same type of question that you had just posted:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=4&mid=23630&new= 1. We have to differentiate between Yin Feng Shui and Yang Feng Shui. 2. Yin Feng Shui can be known as Feng Shui for the dead. Yang Feng Shui is Feng Shui for the living. 3. The Eight House can be applied to both Yin and Yang Feng Shui. 4. Usually in a Yin Feng Shui environment, the person is dead, immovable object. Thus, it would be good to have the person within the good sector to "defend" against external factors. Thus, it is good to have the person absorb good qi as what you have mentioned. 5. Under Yang Feng Shui, the critical difference that although both Yin and Yang persons have a nose or mouth; the Yang person is still breathing. 6. Many of us have read the importance of the "mouth" of the house. The mouth of a house is where we should tap good qi. Here, we can draw a parallel to a living person: where is your mouth? Is your nose and mouth at the back of your body and your spine is at the front? Yes/No? 7. In Yang Eight House concept, it is always good to sit with your nose/mouth facing a good direction. And in addition, one gets the best of two worlds if as I have often stated, under the Eight House, it is good to spent time at a good sector. A famous Feng Shui practitioner once mentioned to his client: that when one sits up on your bed, it is better to sit with your face (mouth and nose) facing a good direction. As we (practitioners) are serving the living not the dead in home or office Feng Shui. Unless, you want to place your mouth and nose on your back-side. Then, go for Yin Feng Shui approach. 8. In Flying Star Feng Shui, many practitioners would like to see home that has double auspicious #8's at the frontage. This would be useful in encouraging good qi into the home. And the idea is that if the qi from a certain sector is not good, some may advice "locking up the bad qi" eg. in a store room or "close the set of windows".
  3. 1. Feng Shui can be applied to both: Yin and Yang. 2. For example, Yin Feng Shui refers to Feng Shui for the "dead". Here, the Chinese belief that if one's ancestor has an auspicious burial (site), it would mean prosperity for several generations of their decendants. 3. While Yang Feng Shui refers to for you and I. 4. "Research makes the Difference". 4.1 Even within the Feng Shui community, there are different qualities of Feng Shui practitioners. Some "blindly" read up or got passed down miscommunication and apply "Yin Feng Shui" to Yang Feng Shui! 4.2 For example, in Yin Feng Shui, one should be "sitting" in an auspicious sector and could be facing an inauspicious sector. Why? Dead man cannot move and he/she does not have a breath. Thus place this dead body "sitting" at an auspicious sector or direction. 4.3 As we all know, all living persons have important organs such as the nose and mouth and eyes at out frontage or face. Thus, it would be natural that when we sit up, we should be facing our auspicious direction. 5. To this day, you have to be careful as no two practitioners are of the same calibre. And as I had mentioned, Feng Shui for the dead (Yin) is vastly different from the living (Yang). For example, the Feng Shui ruler has two levels of markings: One level is for the Living, while the other level (or measurement) is for the dead! 6. Unfortunately, some practitioners are still either ignorant or still think that when they practise Yin Feng Shui, they are also practising Yang Feng Shui for the living. This is NOT correct!
  4. 1. Please note that the article is only based on general comments and statements. 2. And it does not apply only to churches. 3. In my part of the world, some temples are "clean" while others would cause concern. For example, try using a Chinese Luopan at certain temples and it maydetect some form of entity. 4. Symbolically, it is considered inauspicious to face symbols such as a cross or it's spine etc... Katrina L. wrote: I've been reading your free articles. In the link http://www.geomancy.net/resources/fst/fst-shapes-entrance.htm --- You said that a house should not face a prayer site. Our house faces a retreat house run by italian nuns. But it has high walls so we don't get to see what's going on inside the grounds and 1st floor. However, we do get to the see the 2nd floor and 3rd floor of the building. I would like to know why a house should not face a prayer site? What should we do now? 5. The distance to "whatever" counts plus, each case differs. You cannot simply read an article and put 1 + 1 and you end up with Three? 6.IT DEPENDS as no two homes are the same. It is simple to give a few lines of description (whether one gets it right or wrong) and then "demand" what to do now?
  5. 1. Frankly, the resolution is very poor. And furthermore, looking at the site plan is inadequate as one cannot really figure out where is the main door vs the frontage. 2. It is as good as furnishing a street-directly map of completed homes.
  6. Quote: Anonymous wrote: I would like to know what should I do with items after the 3rd day specifically thechinese tea and the sprouted grean beans. The rice and beans on the floor I should be able to throw away, right? Yes, correct.
  7. Picture shows the site where Caspian will be. It will have all condos as it's neighbours : Lake Holmz, Lakepoint.
  8. In white, further away, you can see the Lake Holmz condo. Caspian is suppose to be built on this empy land.. area...
  9. These pictures shows how close the Parc Vista is or is surrounded by it's HDB government flats... The pictures were taken by me, a few weeks ago....
  10. More pictures of Parc Vista...
  11. 1. In my opinion, I personally don't quite like Parc Vista as the quieter units are facing or surrounded by HDB apartments. Where it's wall on the other side in particular is the long stretch of HDB block 518. And also surrounded by Blks 518A (HDB office), 517E etc... 2. The side facing the Boon Lay Way is equally noisy.... 3. In addition, Parc Vista is an older condominium. 4. Overall, Caspian, site seems to be a better overall site. As it is not surrounded by government HDB flats. And it is equally close to the Lakeview MRT.
  12. 1. In my opinion, many Professional Feng Shui practitioners would consider the "Ba Zi method" i.e. as you had mentioned, as the first choice. And the Eight House as second. 2. The major considerations are:- 2.1. "A miss is as good as a mile" 2.1.1 With Ba zi e.g. determining whether one is a weak or strong earth makes alot of difference. And like the saying goes "a miss is as good as a mile". 2.1.2 For example, in a lottery "luck" senario. If this is a 4 digit draw, if you had purchased number 1991. But the prize number turns out to be 1919. You are no where close to winning the four digit prize! 2.1.3 Thus, if the ba zi is wrongly calculated, it is "worse-off". 2.1.4 Even today, amongst Feng Shui practitioners, there may be a variance of results. Usually no one is suppose to get the element wrong as this is based on the day of birth. But, again there is a vast difference between a weak earth person vs a strong earth person. In addition, there is confusion as to the place of birth. And this may even change one's birthdate from say 1 May 1970 or do we use 2 May 1970, a day later by some. 3. Under the Eight House, its calculation is straightforward. And, the concept is easier to be understood especially now that Feng Shuihas universal appeal to so many all over the world. 4.Thus, today, the Eight House is far more popular and widely applied because of the above reasoning. It is also considered the "gate-way" for those who are looking at the "mysterious" art of Feng Shui. Therefore, psycholically speaking, it is because of the ease offinding out one's 4 good & 4 bad that "personalised" Feng Shui has to thank this concept. As it is easy to explain, determine and apply. For 4 Pillars (or Ba zi), this can be very confusingfor many and may even be a turned-off. Quote: Anonymous wrote: Good morning Master, I just wonder whether the better way to find the good/bad direction-using 8 house theory or true element. For example: A person who is weak earth and Chen person. Using his true element which is weak earth then his good direction will be South - fire North East -earth South West - earth, in order to strengthen his weak earth. But using 8 house theory then his good direction will be East - wood South - fire South East - wood North - water, which will weaken his weak earth. Which way should be followed for the best result? Thank you.
  13. 1. More importantly, usually what is mentioned in this forum is based on general comments or specific to a home and it's environment. And not all homes can be "slotted" into either abony or ivory type of situation. 2. Thus "IT DEPENDS!". 3. Usually, the home that is "configured" rebuilt "last" would hopefully gain a better advantage. 4. http://www.geomancy.net/products/po-hunting/po-hunting-faq.htm Under this link, please check-out CASE STUDY 1 - The Meyer Place Condominium. Here, in this example, the bungalow, "below" happens to have two roofs. And this apartment at 4th storey has a balcony that looks like two hands in a "receive" position. 5. For most of the articles in this forum, one cannot just read them and then super-impose the same reasoning to say your home etc... 6. In general, another larger, taller building would dwarft yours and most importanly block the qi (or simply the wind flow) to your home. And hopefully these homes or block of flats don't have "black Feng Shui" e.g. pointed roofs or angles that act as a poison arrow towards your home. 6.At this point in time, Iequally don't know...especiallywhen you ask question like should we move... etc... I really, really won't know. Thus it is best towait for the apartment to be ready. And then do a survey! 7. In the utopian world, one may even dial for help, and people like Osama Bin Laden, may assist in demolisingyour neighbour's home (full stop). But in real life, this is notthe case. 8. Usually, depending on the shape of the building, sometimes, under the Five elements concept, the home can be configured into another "element" to "destroy" or harmonise with the neighbour's home. 9. Thus, again I must emphasie, no two homes, buildings are often the same, soIT DEPENDS!. Melody V. wrote: Hi there, Right now we live in a split-level bungalow which occupies a 600 sqm rectangular lot - which is a corner lot. Our neighbor is a 400 sqm lot - which is also a corner lot. Our neighbor plans to put up a 5 storey condo unit building on his 400 sqm lot. You mentioned that it is not good for a house to be beside a building? Why is that? How do we solve this problem? We don't want to live this area. We are thinking of putting up a FOUR 3-storey townhomes beside this 5-storey building? Is that okay? We will then live in one of these 3-storey townhomes. That way, at least will not be overwhelmed by the 5-storey structure since our townhomes will be 3-storey. Please advice us as to what to do with our house and lot ONCE the 5-storey condo building is put up. Do we sell our house and lot? Do we just put up FOUR 3-storey townhomes as I've mentioned earlier? Is it really bad to live beside a building or structure that is higher than your house? Thanks so much for the help.
  14. 1. Please note that the term you used should not be "FAKE" or "genuine." Instead, all Feng Shui products should be described as "MODERN Commercial Products." 2. Most Feng Shui products are modern creations and are not fakes. Only antiques can be classified as genuine or fake. 3. Many Feng Shui products have symbolic meanings. For example, both ancient and replica I-Ching coins—those round coins with square holes—can be used in Feng Shui. You should not call these coins fake unless someone sells you one and you later discover it is not what was promised. 4. Some traditional symbolic items often used by Feng Shui practitioners include: 4.1 Hulu or bottle gourd. These can range from simple sun-dried gourds costing a few dollars to more expensive ones costing hundreds of dollars. 4.2 Items used for activating a mountain can be anything from smooth seaside rocks to bricks or even a purple amethyst stone. In Feng Shui, a simple piece of brick can work just as well as a costly amethyst stone. 5. Therefore, I want to emphasize that using the word "fake" is not appropriate in this context.
  15. 1. Please note that a home can be considered as falling into any one of the 24 sectors. And there are differences in where your home frontage is (main door) etc... As ALL landed property would normally have two or three exit drainage points: and 1 or 2 are meant for wealth luck. and the 3rd exit point is usually for "Power and authority" (e.g. a politician, staying a home can weld great power or a boss / CEO). 2. Thus, all these new proper analysis. It is not like typing a few sentences and then "you get your answers immediately". http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/Want_to_build_your_dream_home%3F#IS_THE_DRAINAGE_OF_MY_HOUSE_IMPORTANT.3F 3. Without the above, might as well flip a coin and it is 50-50!, please. Quote: Jon C. wrote: I have a small square pond located directly outside my main door in the garden. The flow of water is such that the water is poured directly from left to right of my pond and the current is such that it circulates within the square pond. Do I need to change the direction of the flow to pour directly into my main door? or if under the current arrangement, wealth is lowing away and not into my house?
  16. 1. In my opinion, for a newbie to Feng Shui, one may not understand the implication. 2. Usually, the placement of the six coins is meant more as a "cure" than your literal translation of placing coins at the back of the home thus leaking wealth away. 3. IN GENERAL, it is common for Feng Shui practitioners to draw up a chart of a home. For example, each of us have our own date and time that we are born. And a home also has a birth-chart. 4. Thus this home birth-chart is popularly based on what is known as "Flying Star - Compass School Feng Shui'. Frankly, please don't ask me to explain what is Flying Star or Compass School. One has to do more research or use the SEARCH button. 5. Most likely, your seller-practitioner had found some "inauspicious" Flying Star "numbers" at the back of the home. And that is the reason why he/she had hang a string of 6 coins tied or strung with red string. 6. This is because the number SIX represents BIG METAL. And metal is used as one of the common cures for some imbalances in a home. 7. As I mentioned, if the above sounds Greek or Latin, then either try to find out more or just (Full stop). 8. In summary, the practitioner used the 6 coins with red string as a symbolic cure to balance the back door area.. not so much as what you had literally felt odd about it. 9. Often, forre-sale flat, a good Feng Shui practitioner will help to balance a home e.g. thru colour schemes thus making it transparent that the home has been Feng Shuied before. 10. There are other terms and their significance e.g. a set of 3 coins... and more.....
  17. The two major schools of Feng Shui:- 1. Shapes and Forms 2. Compass School of Feng Shui (Eight House/Flying Star) All homes that have "Quantum Leap" in Feng Shui MUST have good Shapes and Forms. Having good Compass School "directions" is nice to have. Majority if not all homes that have "Quantum Leap" cannot fully depend only on Compass School, Feng Shui. This is the difference between the two major schools of Feng Shui.
  18. 1. The smart, gets good advise the first time they search for a new home. They do it once, RIGHT, that's all. And the smart goes to concentrate on better things to do! 2. The ignorant, buys the home and then pays Feng Shui emporiums to stock their homes with rubbish products. 3. The ignorant, also asks Geomancers for first-aid in the form of "pasting elastoplast" all over their "leaking" home. So which is more important? Invest in advise to purchase a good home? Or wait until the home is purchased before calling a Geomancer to apply first-aid to resuccitate the home?
  19. Further to what I had mentioned, there is a vast difference between the "rich" and the "poor":- 1. The rich, invests in a good quality home. And many of their homes have a Quantum Leap in Feng Shui i.e. without doing anything more, they are suppose to enjoy wealth luck from their home. And many of such homes "suck" wealth from the surrounding. 2. The poor, buys a home equivalent of a 10 year old run down, maybe 1,000cc car. And every other day, think of ways to enhance or simply trying to squeeze as much luck they can from the home. 3. The rich can better spent their quality time and get on with their life. They also think of the big picture. 4. The poor, grows more and more "white" hair and many die much younger than the should be..... And worry unnecessarily on where to get their next meagre meal.
  20. 1. I can think of many factors - for or against doing annual audits:- 1.1. Many experienced Feng Shui practitioners try their best to do a Feng Shui audit "balanced" for the 20 year range of a home. Thus since we are close to the begining of Period 8; good Feng Shui practitioners would give advance based on their best "solution" for each home. Thus any Feng Shui audit done between 2004 (now 2009) to before 2023 should be the best "bet". 1.2. As the 20 Year Flying Star chart suggests it looks at three variables: the Mountain# the Water # and the Base (Palace)#. And it is this relationship of the three stars at each sector is where most practitioners are concerned with. 1.3. Many people cannot afford to call for YEARLY Feng Shui review. In addition, many popular Feng Shui practitioners cannot really, really afford to do annual reviews for a large percentage of their existing clients. It is not for the money matter (fees) but rather, imagine the multiplier effect:- 1.4. For example, a Feng Shui practitioner who is in this business for 10 years. He would normally may have at least 1,000 to 5,000 customers (clients). And if every year, he needs to do annual reviews than.... imagine his/her work load! 1.5. Perhaps, it would be different for a start-up practitioner who may be "hard-up" for $$$ and would then emphaise the importance of annual audits. I have seen this trend more towards practitioners overseas... 1.6 In Singapore, nearly 1 in 20 ro 30 believe and seek Feng Shui consultation.Imagine, you are not in San Francisco, where there is a high concentration of Chinese. And you are a practitioner in New York. Naturally, you would wantmuch needed business. Since many New Yorkers are not into this Feng Shui type of thing. Thus, this in general may be aHIDDEN AGENDA. 1.7"IF IT AIN"T BROKEN DON"T FIX IT" Often once a proper Feng Shui audit has been conducted, many don't need annual check up of their home. IF they need to, it is based on "is it broken? If not.. just leave it". 2. As mentionedunder Para 1.2, majority of sectors for a home hasalready been "preempt or" analysed based on the average of the 20 year flying star. Majority of homes, don't need annual reviews. 3. In fact, those who call for Annual Reviews are usually the less popular or (no business) type of Feng Shui practitioners who are hard-up for $$$. Why only stop at Annual? If you are a firm believer of annual reviews, then, this is NOT correct. In fact, there are the MONTHLY flying stars and even the Hourly Flying stars. Might as well put your house on wheels and place it on a turn table! 4. In addition, please note that Flying Star and Eight House is but only half of the real Feng Shui luck. Shapes and Forms also has a high weightage for a home. And Shapes and Forms is fixed. You cannot simply feel that because a neighbour's home is blocking your view, ask your neighbour to demolish their home. Those that engage in too much Flying Star activities, serve you right as one will be unneccesarily worring about cures for yearly, monthly ..... Don't you have better things to do? 5. For example, even as a Feng Shui practitioner, myself, I don't carry out a Feng Shui audit for my home: What I do is at the begining: Finding a good home with favourable shapes and forms and in Period 8, find a good home that has double #8 stars at the frontage. Full stop. 6. Many silly fools, think that putting this or that or trying to squeeze luck, can bring their "run down house = car" e.g. if your house is just like a 1000 cc 10 year old Hyundai car, you cannot expect a miracle, afterwards. But rather, I would invest in a house which already has "Mercedes benz" or "BMW" qualities. And maybe perhaps, activate the #8's and that is all! 7. The rich, gets richer because, they buy quality stuff, and anything else is, go enjoy themselves. While the "poor" is always looking at ways to "enhance" their house (car). 8. For example, in many car conferences, e.g. Renault car clubs..... this guy purchase a Renault 1.6 cc Megane and asking around how to make his car more powerful: Sprintbooster add on? Re-tuning etc... Go get a life and if you want power... go for a 2.0 ccMegane, simple! 9. Even in the recession, the rich is always... there because they buy recession proof (or at least some value) cars like BMW or Mercedes. They don't go and buy Volvo, Renaultor Audi. As although these are still reasonable cars (in Singapore), once you buy them the value will become "scrap value" plus mercy over-trade amount, that's all. 10. Thus imagine, many common people simply look at the grass. And no choice but to eat it. Or trying to squeeze as much as they can from the grass! While the rich, goes for Quantum Leap in Feng Shui. (Search for the term Quantum Leap, and you can find cases where the rich - homes already have quantum leap, before they step into it.
  21. WARNING: THIS IS A PRIVATE BEDROOM SCENE! IF YOU HAVE ANY YOUNG ONES NEXT TO YOU, PLEASE IMMEDIATELY, SHUT OFF YOUR PC! WARNING, ACTUNG! REALLY BLUE --- ILLUSTRATION AHEAD....
  22. I hope, the relationship would NOT deteoriate until this:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=29&mid=24466&new= And it may get worse!
  23. 1. Honestly, it is simply ridiculous for a married couple to sleep separately! 2. Feng Shui or Earth Luck is but just 1/3 of the other luck! 3. For example, under the Chinese Holy Trinity of luck, there are three types of luck:- 3.1. Heaven Luck or (born with) = 33.3 percent 3.2. Feng Shui or Earth Luck (of home or office) = 33.3 percent 3.3. Human or Man Luck factors = 33.3 percent 4. What you are trying to do, here is trying to squeeze a square peg into a round hole. And totally discarding or throwing away 33.3 percent of Human or Man Luck factors. 5. Sometimes, theoritically, even if a home is not suitable to home owners, it does not mean the end of the world. Many people, also don't have much Heaven Luck. Thus, relationships are or is equally important! Thus, when you say to sleep in separate bedrooms, then, this will definitely affect your "Human or Man" luck factor! 6. Eight house analysis is usually meant more for those who have not purchased a home and try to "work this into" the home. Not the otherway around. 7. This concept can be applied to your master bedroom:- http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/Master_Bedroom:_Which_side_must_I_sleep_on 8. Frankly, your over-concern is truly an OVER KILL! 9. Such thoughts often lead to both: AUTOSUGGESTION and SELF-FULFILLING PROPHECY! 10. There are other higher weightage or key concepts that can easily transsend over just simply worring unnecessarily about the Eight house concept. For example:- http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/The_Concept_of_Maximizing_Marks Human and Man luck makes a whopping 33.3 percent of the overall luck!
