  3. 1. Frankly, if it is a bedroom wall, this (on it's own) is considered as an actual mountain vs a situation where it is an opened window. 2. Thus, the only person that you will make them happy by tiling or rock/stoning the wall is the contractor that does it for you. Here, they would be most happy to accomodate your requests as this means making some money from you. 3. Drawing a parallel, just this Tuesday morning, when I visited an existing client, as she requested for an annual review, she bought some Feng Shui articles from some shop. And the shop told her that she must not reuse certain items as the shop wanted her to buy more of it from them! 4. Actually, a mountain by definition can be a wall. Or sometimes you get to hear things like, it is good that the mountain is located at the back of the home (whether there is a back door or not) is in-material. 5. A mountain can be activated by having a safe or even something as crude as brick or brick wrapped in e.g. silver or gold foil. Or even a smoothen rock (those found at the sea side beach). No need to be as elaborate as a "purple amertyst stone" mountain. 6. Ideally, for health considerations, it is best that bedroom walls are easy to clean. And some of those rock walls trap dust, dirt, mites etc.... And often unpainted makes the room dark and gloomy looking! You don't want to live in a cave rite?? Or turn a bedroom into a cave-man cave! Anonymous wrote: Dear Master Cecil, With my apartment facing NW2 and sitting SE2, the mountain star falls to the back of the apartment which happens to be my bedroom. To activate the mountain star, I am thinking of using Rock/Stone tiles on the wall where my bed's headboard located. Is this good? If this is not acceptable, then what else can I do to activate the mountain star? Thank you in advance Anon
  4. 1. As mentioned, previously there are TWO differing views:- 1.1. One view is that ONLY when EXISTING foundation is demolished and a new foundation come up can the site (building change qi). 1.2 The other view point is based on symbolism. And there are many different view-points as to what may constitute a change. Thus I am only stating or collating the various view points:- The views range from:- 1.2.1 Entire building refreshed with coat of paint (and refurbishment)and the whole house gets refreshed with a coat of paint. 1.2.2 For an apartment, one view point is that since the roof cannot be removed, the ceiling of the home could be given a coat of paint - and this symbolises the hope that the qi can change... 1.2.3 Others comment that major renovations need to be done and there are differing views as to what constitutes a major renovation. This range from changing major floor tiles and others include the need to change windows / main doors etc... And there are more of this. 2. It is not an exact science and depends on how convincing one's argument is to others and how others may or may not accept the argument. 3. As majority of our average life-span today is approximately 60 to 70 plus, many only see this "20 year" change twice in our lifes (as many don't start early as anyone below 20's is most likely less aware of Feng Shui. Since this happens mostly twice or the most thrice in our life, there are few experts in this field -- i.e. I believe no one has a doctorate in this area of Qi change "theory". So can be anyone's guess!
  5. It is SYMBOLIC of "GROWTH". The picture, in this link shows how this household did the procedure:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=19&mid=22648&new= Isn't the tray with the green beans which turned into bean sprouts, lovely? Please note that these are vegetables. And usually can last a week. Thus, if the green beans does not sprout like in the picture: 1.1 Make sure that it is placed in a location where there is light. As light and water is needed for germination. 1.2 Even after three days, you can still add some water. 1.3 Once it grows until as lovely as the picture, time to throw it away! 1.4. As vegetables are unlike plants where they don't strive for too long! But goodness me, please don't cut it or remove it and fry Char Kway Teow (Hokien Fried Mee ) with it, please!!!

  7. 1. As far as Chinese beliefs are concerned, so long as this is not the bed that one conceived the baby, then it is fine or OK. 2. Thus, if conception is on this bed - even thou it is not the master bed, then, better play safe and not move it. 3. In addition, you should not be around to see the removal of this bed. 4. Also make sure to take note of this year's bad sectors:- Sickness Star this year is at West Misfortune/Sickness Star this year is at North Disputes/Quarrel Star this year is at North-East Education/Romance Star this year is at South Grand Duke this year is North-North-East, 30 Degree. 5. In particular, AVOID renovating the specific bedroom if it falls at NORTH or North-NE this year! Simply removing the bed is fine. BUT avoid repainting work or any other work to the walls, windows or door in the two RED areas! Quote: Anonymous wrote: Dear Master, I am currently 5 months pregnant. I will like to move a queen size bed (not my own) and a huge wardrobelocated in a non-master bedroom, ie not inmy room. I will like to move this bed because I am preparing this room as the nursery room for the baby. Please advise if this is possible?
  8. In my opinion, most likely your home should be a Period 7 home (or apartment).
  9. Glad to hear your success! And the main key success factor in rearing fish is notjust for the sake of"Feng Shui -wealth" but rather, for human luck factors i.e. feel good and happy ... For example, some people may not have good heaven luck (bornwith) nor good earth luck (Feng Shui) but they have good Human (man) luck such as being happy, have good family bonding, happiness comes from hobbies like rearing fishes ora pet dog that waits for you to come home... ! All these - money cannot buy - happiness!
  10. 1. Whenever, one is trying to apply Flying Star Feng Shui, is always to draw two charts: one for the last period (or when the home was born) and another Flying Star chart for the "new" period. 2. Fundamentally, there are two different views of whether a home has changed period i.e. major renovations usually encompass what you had mentioned. 3. However, there are some who strongly argue that ONLY when the foundations of a home as changed, then, the home's period changes. As we all know, the only way to change the foundation is if we knock-down the existing home and re-built completely. Thus the very conservative will go for this argument - as this is as sure as 100 percent - certainty. 4. Thus, Para 3 is for sure! While the definition of major renovations is more hazy or not too clear. As major renovations may even include things like removing the roof of a home for 100 days (landed property) to symbolically repainting the ceiling to represent the "removal of the roof since for apartments there is no way of removing the roof. Or some say taht one must change all main entrance doors to new and even all window panes etc... 5. No matter, how, it is still best to plot both charts. In some cases the charts are "quite similar". For example, in some Flying Star chart you get the water wealth location at the same sector etc... Quote: Anonymous wrote: For those living in HDB flat, by changing the entire floor tiles, color of the house or tearing down the partition for just one unit, does it mean this unit of the HDB flat has changed to period 8? If not, how can the unit be changed to period 8?
  11. 1. You should be asking yourself the question: Are you using the fishes as a "cure" or just for hobby! 2. Under the Flying Star Feng Shui, another common method is to rear either: 7 goldfishes + 1 black or 6 goldfishes + 1 black Here the no. 6 represents big metal and 7 represents small metal. And black represents the water element. Thus this combination goes well with the Five Elements concept. 3. If is rearing fishes as a HOBBY, then no major significance in the number of fishes or colours. 4. In the earlier link I had provided 4 "methods" of interpretation of how some people apply "fishy" feng shui i.e. no. of fishes. And this para 2 is the 5th method. Since there are so many, many methods, just "enjoy" having the fishes! 5. Imagine maybe just because of this deep recession, one has nothing else better to do than count the number of fishes, daily! Or if one fish dies, go out and immediately get another one..! 6. In my opinion, most successful are those that rear fish as a hobby instead of one dreaming about money falling out of the sky ... after placing a water feature. The other side of the coin is that some Feng Shui practitioners say that everytime one chances the water in the fish tank, one is throwing away $$$!
  12. You can find the information, from this "old" page of mine:- http://fountain.geomancy.net Scroll down to " Q 9: by earthworm " "In geomancy, is there a preferred number of fishes that we can keep? E.g. keep odd number of fish or even number of fish? What is e rationale? does e number of fishes refer to the total number of fishes in the tank or just e number of fishes belonging to a specific breed? Reply: 9.1 Currently the four most common methods at looking at the number of fishes to `rear' are: .................................... ......................................"
  13. 1. More importantly, the air-con (if it is turned on should not blow directly towards one's face = dryness of mouth, throat and nose as well as the cold "eats" into the cheek areas. 2. Try to swing the bedroom door and not let it hang half-way - slicing towards the bed. 3. For privacy, no point placing a partition. As this oftens creates a dead qi area. Or if the air-con were to be turned on, it will be further "trapped" within the bed area - making sleep uncomfortable especilly in the wee hours of the night when the air-con is turned on... 4. Because of the "fixed wardrope" and bedroom door / windows / toilet door, yes, you really don't have any further way of placing the queen-sized bed. Anonymous wrote: And If i switch the bed over to the direct opposite, the bed will be in the way of the toilet doorway. And the toilet do not have a door as it is to be easy access to my mum who have suffered from a stroke. Can anyone advice how do I able to improve the FS of this layout? fyi, nothing good or bad have happen since we stayed over for 5 years. But I do hope to be able to improve the FS in this room as it may help my mum recover faster if possible. I have thought of adding a partition in from of the door, or add in string curtain so as my dad will not face the door when sleeping. Or is the any better or beneficial suggestion? Please kindly advice. thanks and hope to get some positive advice here. regards,
  14. 1. From one of the Feng Shui concepts using the compass direction:- http://www.geomancy.net/reports/reports-list/perlist-workposition.htm 2. As you had mentioned earlier, if you are unable to change position, then this option is out! 3. The commonsense is to see how you can maximize your luck in other areas of your life:- The Concept of Maximizing Marks 4. In a situation, where as you had mentioned you cannot change position, then no matter how much you "bang" your head against the wall, you may have to maximize luck from other areas of your "life". Often, it can be your earth luck = home (& office) etc... 5. Factors like if there are any "wealth" leaks such as your home, then try to fix it. Fix-the-Leak, First! Viidhya K. wrote: Hello Sir, Currently my seating arrangement in my office is with my back to a big window(West) and I have door right in front of my desk. Is this is a good position to seat. Please provide some advice and also if I cannot change the position, some alternatives to maximize my success and growth. Please help.
  15. In a full life pillar chart, there are many different areas or "compartments" that are reflected or could be analysed. Often, for such a "complex" system, it is best to be left to get expert advise. As in my opinion, it is much harder to DIY life pillar charts. But, in my opinion, avoid approaching those who sit on the road side and give such advice! Anonymous wrote: I would like to know what the life pillar represents in a Bazi chart and how I should interpret it. I have not been able to find any info on this.
  16. Further illustrations of air-con placement: 1. All multi-split air-conditioner has:- 1.1. high pressure gas pipe from the compressor to the air-con unit in a room. 1.2. drainage pipe. This drainage pipe follows "gravity". Thus there is one "drop" down to a drainage area e.g. linked or in condos or landed property may be linked to the toilet drainage. 2. In the long-term, it is alwaysmore favourable to have the air-con unit placed"closest" to the compressor and a "drainage" point such as a toilet. Thus in many high rise apartments, these two are very high considerations. 3. A third consideration isthe "Obstacles" in a Bedroom Thus: Do you have a walk-in-wardrope? If so, avoid running the air-con compressor piping and drainage piping thru this area. If not, one day, especially if the drainage chokes, then one has a serious issue: as one may have to remove all or part of the build-in-wardrope just to access the air-con piping. 4. Commonsense approach to placement of air-con:- 4.1 Where is your bed-head? As mentioned, it is preferred not to have the air-con unit above one's bed-head. Not so much that it "symbolises" a beam, but rather, cold air sinks, even if one diverts the air-vents upwards or sideways... Here, in the middle of the night, one's face may feel very cold and throat, mouth and nose can become very dry. May fall sick if faced with this day in day out. 4.2 Air-con above the toilet. Please see attached illustration and comments as to why this is not too good. 4.3 Ideally, the air-con should blow sideways or even on the opposite side of the wall. If it is directly opposite side of the wall, make sure that a flat screen tv or a cabinet is not below the air-con. As if the drainage pipe clogs or if there is high humidity in the air and the air-con is turned very low e.g. below 16 degrees, than water vapour may form. And may just drip into your tv or electrical equipment. Please see attachment.
  17. 1. It has more to do with "commonsense", thus we call it "Commonsense approach to Feng Shui".For example, having the air-con above one's bed-head position is not ideal. This is because cold air sinks. 2. And, the first thing it does is that "cold air" sinks towards our face. Thus, if we do not blow sufficient air, the whole room may not be cool. But as the cold air from the air-con sinks, it "blows" down towards the face (if the aircon is above one's bed-head).Direct air-con blowing towards one's face makes us feel uncomfortable to breathe as well as too makes our skin "red". 3. Ideally, we would like the air-con to blow sideways or away from our face (or bed) would be good. 4. It is also not so good to place the air-con above one's toilet door. As again cold air sinks. And even if we close the toilet door, there is often a gap. And usually when we turn on the air-con, again, cold air sinks and usually, blows thru this gap into the toilet. Thus, after a while, this forces the toilet to have high-pressure. And the toilet qi would start to leak out especially, once we open the toilet door, the gush of "air" from the toilet will push out of it.
  18. 1. You can always obtain a Feng Shui ruler and use the good ruler measurements. Please note that most Feng Shui ruler has two columns. You should be using the top column (measurement) as this is meant for Yang Feng Shui or for the living. 2. Except for an altar, an altar needs to be most optimum by using the auspicious measurements that coincide with both the top and bottom measurements. Reference: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-ruler.htm 3. Alternatively, you can the mulitple of 17 inches for the door. Thus, the width could be 17 inches x 2 =34 inches. And the height of the door in multiples of 17 inches x ( ) = . 4. If one does a SEARCH in this forum, one can also find this link:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=6&mid=11846&new=
  19. As a final option, individuals who are extremely pressed for time and need to begin renovations right away can opt to perform the initial open door procedure and remove all items after waiting for one hour. This is typically the case when the client has to vacate their current residence, has just received the keys, and must start renovations immediately.
  20. 1. Please note that the main idea of the procedure(s) is to place "wealth" into the home. 2. Thus, only during the stage where one is sprinkling rice and green beans, best not to have "outsiders" walking in the home where one does this procedure. As symbolically, if one accidentially sprinkle the rice /beans into an "outsider's" shoe, then they may "bring back the wealth with them". 3. Other than the above, avoid giving away the fruits etc... it has to be either: Eaten or Thrown away - never given away. 4. Once Para 2 has been done and the rest of the first-time-open door procedure has been perfomed, you can let in any other persons or go in anytime afterwards. The third day is just - to the effect that one should not re-move the items within the three days, that's all. You can go in anytime you wish or bring anyone into the home anytime after you had completed the procedure.

  22. 1. Typically, it is advisable to keep the garage separate from the main living space, but this decision ultimately hinges on the overall layout of the house. In certain cases, integrating the garage with the home may be unavoidable. 2. In general, the devil's gate concept can be linked to the Flying Star theory. If the northeast sector exhibits predominantly "yin" Flying Star numbers, then this could raise some red flags. Otherwise, it is usually not a significant concern. +++ In Summary " The inclusion of the garage in a home's Feng Shui considerations depends on the overall energy balance of the property. Additionally, the alignment of devil's gate with the Flying Star theory, particularly in the northeast direction, may raise concerns if the energy numbers are unfavorable."
