  1. Dear Anon, It would be OK or beneficial for bad stars to be "drowned" in a toilet. This is much better especially for stars such as #5 or multiples of it and/or #2 or #3 to land in this location. On the contrary, (INSTEAD) it would be a waste for good stars to land into such locations. For example, it would be "unfortunate" to have say a set of double 8's to land in the toilet bowl! Warmest Regards, Cecil
  2. Dear Anon, Yes, what I mentioned in the Applied Feng Shui course is primarily based on Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. Since (OFTEN) locations that we can place a water position even under Flying Star Feng Shui have to meet the criteria that there is sufficient clear-space to allow for a water position. This is why, in some homes, even if the water wealth position such as double 8's under Period 8, can still be at the "sitting" position e.g. the back of the house. And if the back of the house is the lounge or family room or patio, then, this is a favourable location to activate water wealth position. If the pictures are simply "decorations", then since NW has the water wealth #8, this location can benefit with the activation of a water position, here. If the location has an altar, than, it would be "inauspicious" to have a water position, there. In your case, it does not seem that way. Warmest Regards, Cecil "The best In your
  3. Dear Janice, Yes, I agree with your observation. Not only is KL talking about it. Nearly every audit I do now, I would make sure that I have covered both periods! Therefore, it also affects Geomancy.net as not only we are busy but we need to do twice the work (for the same pay!) Frankly, it is good to look at both charts so that clients can or stick to the existing period. Therefore, not only is KL talking, Singapore is talking, Australia, US and nearly every one is talking about ithttp://www.geomancy.net/wbimages/smiles/icon_smile.gif To do a symbolic flying to a new period, I hope you can do a search in this forum. I believe there are already many messages and also a consolidated message which I had posted recently to "fly" into the new period. Perhaps, why not try doing a SEARCH in this forum for things like: 1. repainting roof or 2. remove roof tiles or 3. lion dance or 4. celebration If you search for any of these, I am confident you can find the resource there. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  4. Dear Joan, I am really not sure whether I should let you know this case. I believe sometime back as far back as 1999 or earlier, there was this example of underground water (or sewerage pipe) running under a house. And so happens that this German study, mentioned that there was a high incidence of cancer where beds were placed either above this pipe or close to it. Perhaps, maybe the pipes had corroded or etc... We do not know. Where possible, as you had mentioned, try to place your furniture especially sitting position as far away from the pipes. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  5. Dear Wasis, Majority of the Chinese avoid moving house either in the Ching Ming month ie. this year is next month 4 April. And often for the duration of two weeks starting from this day. The next date is the 7th month. http://www.geomancy.net/wbimages/smiles/icon_twisted.gif http://www.geomancy.net/wbimages/smiles/icon_evil.gif Warmest Regards, Cecil
  6. Letter asking for increment from staff.. & the response from boss.
  7. Dear Jen, In my opinion, this is a non-issue. http://www.geomancy.net/wbimages/smiles/icon_mrgreen.gif Warmest Regards, Cecil
  8. Dear House Hunters, Every day I receive numerous calls on this service. Appreciate if you can visit this URL link prior to calling me:- http://www.geomancy.net/products/po-hunting/po-hunting-faq.htm To make it easier, you can also use these two short-cuts to the Can or Cannot Buy page:- http://www.satu.com http://www.bagus.com Thanks! Warmest Regards, Cecil On 11 April 2020: Please ignore the above. I added the latest resources in the next thread, see below...
  9. Dear Anon, In general, without a FS assessment: 1. Mirror should not face an open window or the balcony area. As wealth can be reflected out of the house 2. Many Cantonese (Chinese dialect group) love to have a mirror facing the dining area. As they feel that it would bounce off twice the amount of "food" on the table. 3. For those who stay in a high rise; and if the wall is particularly long, sometimes, the contractor would arrange for cut pieces of mirror to be sent up to your home for installation. If so, avoid, installing two identical pieces of mirror. This is because, if installed, and if one stands at the centre of the mirror, one can look at a "split" in the exact middle which is considered not auspicious. If the contractor cannot really assemble one full piece of glass; then as a last resort go for three pieces i.e. the biggest piece in the middle while the other two equal sized pieces on each side of the large piece. http://www.geomancy.net/wbimages/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif Warmest Regards, Cecil
  10. Dear Carolyn, 1. Yes, I can truly sympathise with many new proud owners of (small compact) homes. 2. In my opinion, one major culprit has to do with the compulsory need for a Household shelter a.k.a. bomb shelter. This does not sound comforting to some owners. Last year, one client said that since his unit is at the highest floor, and with the launch of bunker busting smart bombs; he felt safer (in an emergency) at his basement car-park than in his apartment! Worse! - If, the intelligence gathering is so lousy - as anyone could claim that he harbours "bin laden". His unit will be the first to "get-it". 3. This is so especially for new two or three room apartments. 4. Sorry for the side-track! 5. More so, ideally, it was (is) felt that when we enter the home, we should not, first see the dining table. 6. This has more to do with commonsense. That, in many homes, if one has only one dining table, usually, it may be piled with food or even newspapers etc... 7. And it may become unsightly. No choice, given that family members may come-home at different times. 8. Usually, it is because of this; that where possible, a dining table should be "out-of-sight" of the main entrance. If no choice, well, we have to live with it. http://www.geomancy.net/wbimages/smiles/icon_cry.gif Warmest Regards, Cecil
  11. Dear Nita, Frankly, this issue has more to do with maintenance or upkeep of the furniture (cupboard) than Feng Shui. Often, broken or nearly broken pieces could further fall off or splinter and this may not be safe. For example, pieces could fall off to the floor and one may accidentally step on it. If there is an issue in replacement, then, provided, also "uglyness" is not an issue, than, simple options are to purchase masking tape or scotch-tape to seal the sharp edges and hold the rest of the mirror together. Later on, than, see whether you can take your time to replace it. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  12. Dear Florina, Most of us (unfortunately) have to read too many Feng Shui books. Although some books say that a mirror facing a bed is no good, but, often, this may not be exactly true in the REAL WORLD. For example, in the past, I had given this senario: 1. OK. The book says that when we sleep, our spirit is said to wander out of our body. When it sees the mirror, it gets a shock of it's life. 2. But, how about the situation where, this "spirit" needs to "look into" the mirror i.e. comb hair to look nice before, "flying" off? 3. In our real world, it all boils down to "sensitivity". 4. How sensitive are we? 5. For example, many people can sleep soundly with a mirror facing them. Or a TV set facing them etc... 6. This does not automatically mean that it is bad for everyone. 7. If one is sensitive or perhaps, prefer to cover the mirror than, simple piece of poster paper or an opaque film can do. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  13. Dear Dawn, In my opinion, there should not be any issue with the keeping of pets. This is particularly good for some, especially who have children who had asked for the pets. House cleaning these pets would (hopefully) inculcate a sense of responsibility. However, many mothers reading this may be shaking their heads. I sympathise with them since, most mothers end up being the "maid". Hopefully, please don't turn into an "OLD-MAID" will do! Frankly, under Feng Shui, there is no issue with pets. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  14. Hi Master Cecil, I must really compliment your professional practice. I have been reading from your website since Year 2002, always find it interesting and knowledgeable. Is only recently that I have decide to do a house audit. Seeing your compliments in your website makes me determine in using your service. Your professional attitude is really impressive. They are all right about your service. My husband's work and health improves after your advice in swapping our bedroom to study room. Now we are waiting for our wealth luck to improve. Thanks so much. Celine Lim Tuesday, March 02, 2004
  15. Dear Angelina, Yes, it is very common to find windchimes with varying or different lengths. This is perfectly OK. Usually, some of them have clinger or the middle coin attached to it - being too heavy to make any sound. (I suspect only a hurricane or a typhoon sized wind may cause it to make a sound. *JOKE*) The better windchimes are those with alluminium rod with a wooden "roof/support" and a wooden clinger. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  16. Dear Fiona, Frankly, with or without ba zi analysis, many people have opted to change their names. In fact, name change (or for that matter) is pretty easy. One only needs to go to a lawyer, ask for a "deed poll" service. And the lawyer will prepare a deed poll for effecting a name change. In Singapore, depending on the law firm, the service charge is around $150 to $200 for this change. One can present this document to the National Registration Office to process a change of IC name. Of-course, bank accounts etc.. should be updated with the name change. Also by presenting the copy of the deed poll to the bank or any institutions of borrowing. It is a legal copy that is widely accepted. Under Chinese name change criteria, sometimes, we do not need to change our name but rather the character in a name. Thus, sometimes, there can be a subsitute for one of our "bad" name characters with a similar sounding name. This could be that the new name has a better stroke. Here, one may not need to effect a deed poll since, we still get to use a similar sound name. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  17. Dear Rory, To be honest, your question is too general, thus it is like calling all black cats "bad" without relevance to each specific sector's imbalances (if Flying Star Feng Shui is applied). Warmest Regards, Cecil Looking forward to Rory
  18. Dear Hoa, Usually, what you had mentioned has more to do with selecting a name or changing your name. Often rather than using the above to analyse a sector of a home. Thus, the below is often a glimpse of the outcome of after selecting a name and checking it out:- For example case 1: Five Element(2 Wood, 1 Fire, 0 Earth, 2 Metal, 3 Water) Yin & Yang2 Yin, 6 Yang Name HarmonyMetal-Water-Wood = Inauspicious Tian Di Ren Ge4/5 Auspicious Max Luck is 4/5 due to Surname (Tian Ge) Inauspicious Tian Di Ren Ge DetailsTian-Inauspicious, Di-Auspicious, Ren-Auspicious Wai-Auspicious, Shu-Auspicious Name Luck1/5 Auspicious Name Luck Details1 to 12 - Inauspicious 13 to 24 - Mix Blessing 25 to 36 - Inauspicious 37 to 48 - Inauspicious 49 & up - Auspicious For example case 2: Five Element(0 Wood, 0 Fire, 1 Earth, 3 Metal, 4 Water) Yin & Yang4 Yin, 4 Yang (Balanced) Name HarmonyMetal-Water-Water = Inauspicious Tian Di Ren Ge2/5 Auspicious Max Luck is 4/5 due to Surname (Tian Ge) Inauspicious Tian Di Ren Ge DetailsTian-Inauspicious, Di-Auspicious, Ren-Auspicious Wai-Inauspicious, Shu-Inauspicious Name Luck1/5 Auspicious Name Luck Details1 to 12 - Inauspicious 13 to 24 - Auspicious 25 to 36 - Inauspicious 37 to 48 - Inauspicious 49 & up - Inauspicious Usually, the elements are meant to analyse the Tian Di Ren Ge and not so much of using it to balance the bedroom etc... Warmest Regards, Cecil
  19. Dear Angelina, Please see below: A water feature is the best solution, already. Painting the door blue is not necessary or in my opinion an over-kill. You can instead place a blue mat outside the main door. Yesterday, Robert Lee has launched the Yearly or monthly flying star generation - for those interested to monitor stars especially like #5 , #2 or #3. You are For a wind chime: best to use 6 hollow metal/alluminium rod wind chime. Never use a colourful wind chime. I need Frankly, with a water position, it is currently safe already. "Flying" now will become "cheaper" with the slow introduction of "budget" airlines in Singapore! with the launch of Valueair, Lion air in the next year or two!!! etc.. *JOKE ONLY* Thus budget "flying" to the new period is e.g. repainting the entire ceiling of the home. But, this may take a while to change to the new period. More expensive "flying" i.e. major renovations may be often out of the question for budget reasons or home is very new. Thus, not practical to sit in the Business class of Singapore Airlines (SIA). Warmest Regards, Cecil
  20. In Feng Shui, in situations where: 1. A stove directly faces (opposite) a water position. Often, a small mirror is placed at the water position, such that when one lits up the hob, the mirror can "reflect" back the "fire". 2. This is also for a stove facing an open window. A small mirror is placed at the level / hob, to reflect back the "warmth". 3. Some FS practitioners also advise placing a mirror at the back of the stove. Do guess what is this for? Warmest Regards, Cecil
  21. Dear Anon, Frankly, looks like, in-order to replace the mirror it has to be prised /cracked to reply. Actually, I feel that: 1. Often, the first is based on "Common-sense approach". One reason why, it is not favourable to break the glass is because of splinters or shards of glass. Proper cleaning after the removal is OK. 2. Any since the glass is already chipped, so long as you are not the one removing it, I feel that this is OK. Where possible, or a more practical approach is to let the workmen remove-it while you do not see the activity. 3. Here, you are not the one breaking up the glass. 4. If you have not moved-in, yet, it is better! Do all this before your actual move-in date. Otherwise, frankly, if it has to be replaced, it has to be replaced. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  22. Dear Nisha, It is understandable, when you mentioned that you are only a tenant and would like to have many of your favourite things in your bedroom. Yes, I do encourage you to make first and foremost your room as comfortable with all your favourite things! It does not matter if there are fishes. But, it brings you both pleasure and comfort - GO FOR IT! The logic here is based on this understanding: 1. Often, many good FS practitioners will stick to or advise their clients on the Holy Trinity of Feng Shui: 1.1 Heaven Luck - what is given to us 1.2 Earth Luck - our abode / work place 1.3 Human Luck - what brings us happiness:) Sometimes, for some, we have limited earth luck i.e. we do not own the place. However, often, if we are happy, positive in life, this is human luck. And it can actually bring up our life (despite average earth luck etc..) So, do follow your heart! Cheers! Warmest Regards, Cecil
  23. Dear Anon, Wishing you best of luck in getting a job soon! Please see below:- Do make yourself at home:) If you need both networking luck and wealth luck, trying to map out a Flying star chart specific to your home. I had taken a break should I enhance the The more "politically" correct way is as mentioned to draw a specific Flying star chart for your home. Instead of enhancing north with a water feature, try your best to under Period 8 to locate the water star #8. This is suppose to be your water wealth position. Location mountain star #8. And place a solid object with mass at this location. This is to activate your networking luck. In addition if there are good mountain stars like #9, you can also activate it for luck / networking luck. This sure beats just "blindly" placing the water position at north = water position. (please check on this). also since Under the Five elements concept, wood is a good component to exhaust earth. But for a truly ugly bad #5, moving metal is a better choice for a #5. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  24. Dear Leon, What you refer to is actually sometimes known as the "Eight-One Combinations". The explanation is that 81 Combinations are fixed detailed description of different combinations as the numbers of the stars comes together. It provides short explanation of the combination effects. For example: MS [8] & WS[6] means Prosperity, good wealth. Geomancy.net Flying star course students, do get a table showing all the meaning of the 81 combinations i.e. 1 with 2 2 with 3 etc.. to 9 with 9 Alternatively, perhaps some authors may have such a table for you. Currently I am very busy, as several new condominiums have TOP such as Gardens @ Bishan and the Maderia and a few more. And many of my clients are trying to finalise their new home layout. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  25. Dear Anon, Frankly, this category of Feng Shui is often classified under "Kindergarten Feng Shui". Where we commonly hear: North = water, South = fire etc.. Just a few years ago, I remembered, locally some practitioners were simply practising this type of Feng Shui. Many of them, I heard, have very few business - if any. With more sophisticated consumers; it would be more fruitful to learn more of both Shapes and Forms as well as Compass School Feng Shui. Under Flying Star, instead of a generalised view that north = water, one should follow where the #1 star lands on the 9 grid system. Here, #1 and a combination of it e.g. #4 often leads to prosperity etc... Truly, do make a change, today:) Warmest Regards, Cecil Thank you.
