  1. Roads in Feng Shui are like watercourses.. and this one ain't Pretty! = Sennett Residences
  2. Sites with roads all round it (here, 3 sides) are considered malignant. Fortunes will wane widely in such a development..... a site that does not have good or "solid backing" ain't a good site... rather risky...
  3. In general, based on Shapes and Forms Feng Shui; ideally a plot of land especially for a home should not be surrounded by roads. For this site: Sennett Residence; this plot is surrounded by three sides (roads): Upper Serangoon Road Pheng Geck Avenue and Wan Tho Avenue The above is a minus not a plus point for this development. And does not bode well for good overall Feng Shui. For those who are interested in buying a unit there should exercise greater caution.   4. Most homes in general fall between a hidden gem vs a rotten apple... To assess this; and in Feng Shui, a triage is required to find out the home's rating: Good, the bad, the average or the "ugly"...
  5. 1. Frankly, The science of Feng Shui is like any other discipline. It requires a properhttp://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/Feng_Shui_Triageto be done. 2. Only after doing a proper Triage can one find out whether a home (or your home) is an unpolished gem or a true rotten apple or somewhere in between. 3. For example; if a home is like an unpolished gem; some enhancements can bring great (good) results. 3.1 Most homes are usually between these two: and after considering the science of Feng Shui; if one (via the Art of Feng Shui) properly enhance + neutralize bad Qi; often one can see good results. 4. However, or unfortunately; some homes are like a 10 year old 1,000cc car. No matter how much enhancements or Elastoplast (fix leaks) ; does not help. 5. But do be wary of seeking help: if any from geomancers that too often push or sell lots of commercial products in the name of Feng Shui. Often, even if a cure is needed; the items can easily be found at home or are not very expensive. 6. In conclusion, even if we need to consult a doctor: internal medicine doctors will also ask a person to go for tests like blood testing; ultrascan of kidneys; MRI's etc. Only after such tests are done; can a Dr. Then prescribe some form of remedy or preventive medicine. 7. Thus, please note that if you are trying to approach it from a Feng Shui point of view; if no triage; might as well throw a dice or flip a coin! 8. There are no short cuts nor a posting of a few sentences, to uncover the problem(s) or advice on a solution if any.
  6. It's too late! NV Residences is nearing completion. And already cast in stone! Hopefully, many of the stacks fall exactly under Period 8 : N3 or S3! Anyway... if you don't stay there or not going to... no worries.... it does not affect YOU!
  7. NV Residences consists of 8 Blocks. Majority of all the Eight Blocks are aligned in the same direction. However, based on the Sales brochure site map and the one available at streetdirectory.com; It seems that the facing directions of most of the stacks either face N3 or exactly 22 degrees or S3 or 202 degrees. Just a .4 of a degree would bring all the stacks closer to what is called a "zone of emptiness". Here, it would mean that majority of the stacks either face: "neither N3 or S3" but in a very inauspicious zone between these two Flying star directions. And vice versa for those stacks that "neither face S3 or SW1. In Flying Star Feng Shui, if the developer and their contractors were to built the development as neither "HERE nor THERE" = very inauspicious. Let's hope that it is a close call or close margin! As there are a total of 8 blocks; I would have to pay more attention when taking readings for clients at each individual block. Thus, there can be a possibility that a client staying in say Blk 91 would heave a sigh of relief while another at Blk 93 or 99 may be affected by this "zone of emptiness"
  8. No point having nice facilities if: in Flying Star Feng Shui: one may fall into a "zone of emptiness". Let's hope not for all the residents x 8 blocks in this development NV Residences.
  9. Feng Shui comprises two major schools: 1. Shapes and Forms Feng Shui 2. Compass School Feng Shui Do you know that Shapes and Forms Feng Shui appeals more to those who are more of a Right Brain person. Under the Left and Right Brain Theory, those who are more of a right brain inclined person are best at spatial and better at expressive and creative tasks. And more likely to "pick" up easier on Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. For example, a person who is more into the "arts" would be better off at studying History, Literature, Law, Commerce. And if enrolled in an ivy league school could go to Harvard. While a person who is more "mathematical inclined" would fit better with courses in Maths, Chemistry and Physics and more at home in MIT. Thus, those who feel right at home with Compass School of Feng Shui are usually more Left Brain inclined person.
  10. The 3 Bedroom Verandah & similar layout plans This is the first time I had come across interior layout plans where the kitchen shares the living room balcony. Luckily, there is no interior waste disposal bin. Else, it may have to be located at the kitchen area which is near to the frontage of the apartment. I believe it also encourages home owners to hang or display their clothings for drying at the balcony or verandah. Which by right is considered a no-no for most condo developments. As it is considered that such anti-social behaviours may degrade or lower the value of that condo. Maybe this condo is exempt from it?

While the rest of the three blocks: 3, 6 and 7 are Period 8: Either NE1 or SW1 facing directions.   12. Please refer to attachment. The street directory plan shows high-rise developments as opposed to landed property. But you can see the similarities with the earlier home you posted. Majority of the apartment blocks are parallel to each other: such as Blks 127, 128A/B/C/D with Blks 126, 109, 110, 171 and 172. While Nautilus@Punggol 169 A/B/C/D and 170 A/B/C's share a similar tilt to your earlier photo. And this small development is at a road junction. Thus, this is a simple example to show that it is not as uncommon as what you may think.
  13. These are some considerations: 1. I did a search in this forum for a specific past posting (similar to the home you mentioned):- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=6&mid=29112&new=?pagewanted=all 2. Frankly, the tilting of the home may either be intentional (Feng Shui) or unintentional:- 2.1. If intentional (in the name of Feng Shui) then, most likely the idea was to tilt it either to a home owner's suitable direction AND/OR facing and sitting a good direction. 2.2. One plus point is that this is a reasonably large piece of LAND and another advantage is that it is standalone e.g. a bungalow house. Thus, even if the house is tilted; and depending on Para 2.1 (if any); it can or may be acceptable. 3. Castle Gate Theory: Often, for a home at a road junction; some consult a geomancer to tilt the entrances. Here, we do not know for sure Castle Gate Theory has been used (as more study may be needed, here.) 3.1. Tilting a home can have some advantage; especially to avoid any poison arrow(s) in the form of a neighour's sharp or pointed roof or even lone lamp post. 3.2. With the tilting, this home now has four corners aimed outwards. Thus it (the home) itself becomes a "porcupine" spewing sha qi (poison arrows) towards all four sides of it's neighbour. Not exactly a bad thing for this home. But not as good for it's neighbour. 4. In general, in Feng Shui, we call this a non-conformist home. But (if done for the right "purpose" intentional or non-intentional may not be a bad thing altogether. 5. As mentioned, earlier under Para 2.2.; as this piece of land is pretty large; therefore, tilting a home on it's own has no major liabilities in terms of Feng Shui if the intention to "maximise" it's Feng Shui e.g. such as a "better" facing direction etc... 6. In the 2nd posting, even in Singapore, (but high rise context) one can see similar situation but abeit these are high rise as opposed to landed property. But still same thing. Thus, it is more common, than what you may think. (Especially high-rise situations).

  15. In my opinion, it is not so simplistic to base one's best careers just because one has e.g. 4 counts of wood in the ba zi. Please see attachment. For career guidelines; the 10 deities is referenced. And careers with wealth are associated with a person who generally has higher counts of Earned wealth and unexpected wealth. For this person earned wealth is high at 4. And unexpected wealth is 1. When added up is a total of = 5 counts. While pursuing a career associated with one's power and authority: Authority and Determination. This person's Authority is 2 counts and Determination is 1 count. Total = 3. Thus in a careers guideline; in Ba Zi; the recommendation is that if possible this person should try topursue a career related to his/her wealth (1st choice). And a career associated with power and authority (2nd choice).
  16. 1. In my opinion, if one understands Ba Zi or Four Pillars as a tool; 2. It is not practical to reference one's ba zi element breakdown be it via percentage e.g. 40 percent water; 10 percent wood etc.. or "have 3 water and 1 wood" and link this to one's favourable career. 3. The attached illustration is self-explanatory. 3.1. Firstly, it shows an individual's five elements breakdown at birth. 3.2. And every ten years, this same five elements breakdown may change. Thus, it is impractical to based breakdowns or "number counts e.g. 3 water" as a guide to one's career. 3.3. For example, for the 1st 10 years, one's career should be this or that.. but in another 10 years, since the breakdown changes, does it mean that that career is no longer good anymore? 4. For career guidelines; the ba zi and it's tool for careers can be classified into: Careers with wealth or power & authority or suitable and so so career(s). See my first thread posting reply.
  17. The attached Sample Illustration shows the relationship of an individual's ba zi element and strength e.g. Strong Wood. And associated careers relating to: 1. Career with wealth ($$$$$$) 2. Career with power and authority (Becoming a CEO, Chairman, Director etc...) 3. Career not leading to great wealth Please see sample attachment showing the link between all of the above.
  18. Please see illustration showing two common practises or options: 1. Option 1: Many Geomancy Practitioners recommend this method i.e. the placement of a hulu as shown in the attached. 2. Option 2: Practical approach, today. If the kitchen/service yard has a casement window; the window is either fully closed or open-to the max at around 45 degrees or less. 3. Frankly, personally, I am not in favour of installing a roller blind as a partition. As often, it moves when windy and can eventually get dusty. And I would not want to have my face touch such blinds as in time, it will be covered by dirt and even bacterial or germs.
  19. All these figurines does not come under Religion nor Feng Shui. But if we have to classify them; they MAY come under human factors. For example, just look at the THUMBS UP! Feel good? That's all... nothing to do with Feng Shui what so ever.
