  1. A weak wood person may complaint that he needs more? WOOD!
  2. THE TRACKLESS TROLLEY OF SINGAPORE The early history of Singapore is shrouded in mystery. It seems to be established that the Malays settled there 1360 A.D., followed in 1377 A.D. by the Javanese who had invaded the island. Marco Polo does not mention it though he wintered in Sumatra on his way backin Europe. It was supposed to have been an important trading center in the early centuries, but when Great Britain acquired it, it was wholly uninhabited save by a few families of wild Malay fisher folk andl was a rendezvous of pirates. Today it is one of the world's chief distributing points for the commerce of all nations, truly a "crossroads of the world." Under British rule. Singapore has developed into one of the most prosperous and modern cities of the East, with broad, well-paved streets. It has a population of over 500.000 inhabitants and. though not old, isa city that providesal the travel interests of age-old places in the Orient. In Singapore, as in so many other Eastern ports, the coming of the motor car has changed much the aspect of life and to help solve its transportation problems. Singapore has also adopted the trackless tram car, that hybrid of the automobile and the electric street car. The ricksha, you will note, however, still holds an important putt as a means of transportation and more than 10,000 jinrikisha coolies swam-the port of Singapore. From early morning until the late at night, they trot their six miles an hour through its crowded streets. The streets of Singapore are a never-ending procession of carts, automobiles and jinrikishas. By Keystone View Company. The above implies that Singapore was already well developed prior to the claim by our elder statesman that Singapore was not so... when he took over ...
  3. Women are from Mars? Men from Venus or Pluto?
  4. 1. Frankly, of course, this is not ideal: both in terms of Feng Shui and personal feel (especially if one is fully aware of this). 2. From the illustration, one good thing is that all the sewerage pipes are not sharing the same wall as your work-station. Which is a plus point. 3. Most likely the wall separating your work-station is made of concrete; this is again another plus point. 4. Traditionally, one can buy a hulu (around 2 inches to 3 inches) high and place it on one's table. If it is not hung, then metal (brass/copper) hulu can be used, here. Alternatively one of those wooden hulu can also be used.
  5. In my opinion, generally higher floors (above 4th) .....
  6. Birds were once accustomed to the hidden powers of Feng Shui until various strains of avian flu emerged.
  7. Is the Feng Shui of the entire earth good? Or should one narrow down from The External environment, The Site, The Block (or Home) and finally:The unit.
  8. Please note that for most sites; most apartments will fall into a bell curve:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=6&mid=32648&new=%3Cbr
  9. If you can understand English and follow instructions, then why still pastel them? Location: Just TOP HDB flat / lift @ Punggol Walk = Punggol Wave
  10. It is acceptable for an LRT or MRT track to curve outwards of a block of flats. Not ideal Shapes and Forms but a "Safe situation".
  11. In general, if a road curves into a stack (within a block of flats); often the lower unit(s) especially 1st or 2nd storey may be affected by sha qi. Depending on the type of curve and how fast cars "flows" or moves at that spot. In addition, it also depends on the country. Some countries are R-hand drive. In this photo; the yellow lines shows the movement direction of the vehicles. (A R-hand drive country like SGP).
  12. Winding paths may seem illogical to some individuals due to the slightly longer route they create. However, the main intention behind these paths is to encourage a slower walking pace, as well as to align with the Chinese belief that spirits cannot navigate through winding routes.
  13. It does not take much visualisation to understand that stacks 141 and 147 are at a disadvantage. Just imagine the windows / balcony openings are at A, B and C. And directly opposite these stacks are another stack that juts out; create poison arrow(s) and blocks it's view. How worse can it get?
  14. This is a cross-reference to a simple checklist for "sha qi / poison arrow(s)" http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=6&mid=32861&new=
  15. I have drawn out a simple chart with questions one could ask to determine if an object such as a street lamp or a tree trunk is considered as a sha qi or poison arrow?
  16. One has to take into perspective the type of material. That may cause sha qi. As mentioned earlier; instead of a tree but a large tall lamp post - made of some form of metal (iron + steel + or galvanised metal); then it may be a concern. In this photo illustration; sometimes, the corner of an opposite block can be considered as a sha qi. Thus, in your photo; a neighbour's sharp corner of that distance may pose as a sha qi to your neighbour's unit - if it is aimed towards their balcony or bedroom windows (if any). But again, from the photo; the sha qi circled in red does not seem to pose any issue to your unit. Furthermore, the one block but a unit lower that is parallel to (your neigbhour's) unit (to the left of the photo) has no issue as there are trees and leaves.
  17. Thanks for the photo. These are some considerations: 1. The ultra conservative may consider both tree (trunks) as sha qi. 2. However, in my opinion; 2.1. It is difficult to see exactly the photo taken (parallel) to the actual tree LEVEL. As maybe it is an illusion, but I seem to see that the photo MAY be taken "top-down" or at a slanted angle. (Not sure, here). 2.2. Anyway, I feel that the two tree (trunks) are pretty far away. If the trees are on the same side of your unit; then I would say that it is a sha qi. 2.3. But in the photo; the trees are on the-other-side of the swimming pool. Assuming that your swimming pool is length = 50 metres and width = 25 metres. The good news is that the distance between the tree trunks towards your unit balcony is at least 25 metres + > 10 metres = 35 metres away. 3. Furthermore, such trees are not hardwood e.g. oak or teak. They are of softer material. And they are also not steel / galvanised street lamps. Thus considered "weak material". 4. I would say that I strongly believe that the two tree TRUNKS do not pose a threat to you. Even if the tree trunks are level to your unit. It would be different if there are windows on the opposite side of the block. And if so, that block's unit would then be affected by a sha qi. 5. Therefore, if the tree(s) are on your side of the building; then it can be considered as a sha qi.

  19. One way of looking at it is through the industry one works in. For example, as water element is represented by such industries as Advertising firms or Telecommunications. Thus, it is good e.g. to work in an industry related to water = telecommunications. Here, one is in constant contact with water. You also wrote: "Also, since I already have a lot of Earth in my chart, would choosing a career related to the Earth element create too much imbalance for me?" In a recent reply, I mentioned that there is another specific or main purpose for the breakdown: Chinese name selection - after birth. It also includes another area e.g. health considerations e.g. too much earth = stomach, intestine, colon etc... issues. Under Ba zi; careers are related to one's personal element and strength. E.g. a Strong earth person. And here, there are careers associated with Wealth, Power and another category that belongs to neither here or there. And not what you visualise with too much earth...
  20. Today, there is an unbelievable varieties of wrought irongrille gate colours
  21. What is a chairman's or chairperson's element? Or rather, what element does a chairperson belong to?
  22. Hey! You even took away all my clothings. At least, leave me my underwear, please, Madam?
  23. You wrote: Animal Activism What element correspond to animal rescue or activities such as: Rescuing stray animals from the streets Giving basic health care to them before sending them to the vet Washing them at the shelter and giving medication Assisting on neutering and spaying them (I have a health star, can I take advantage of this star by doing this activity?) What about other related activities such as: Promoting animal activism Collect signatures to implement punishment and laws against animal cruelty Managing an adoption website and promoting adoption through social network Collecting money for the shelter Environment Activism And also recycling activities such as: Collecting, separating recyclable material Promoting these activities through videos, etc. What about clean energies, what element would these belong to: Solar energy usage at home Wind turbines (I guess the blades can be taken as shar chi?) 1. These are some considerations: 2. In the past, I brought out several examples. One of the notable example is a CEO. 2.1 A CEO can be in-charge of many persons and departments: 2.2Human Resource (Earth) PR and Advertising (Water) Marketing and Sales (Fire) R & D(Wood) Accounting and Finance (Metal) 3. Thus, it is not wrong to say that a CEO is a metal element or an earth or a fire etc... 4. The key success factor to finding your TRUE ELEMENT is not to go thru line by line your job scope but rather try to figure out your CORE job function. 5.And using thisreferencechart:http://talk.geomancy.net 6.1 For example you wrote: Giving basic health care to them before sending them to the vet 6.2 I summarise the above as HEALING. and if you check the above chart it should be WATER! 7.1. Again: You wrote: Managing an adoption website and promoting adoption through social network 7.2. If you can understand the category known as Wood; you will correctly place the above into the wood element. 8. Going back to my example. Yes, if you go thru all your above job specifications, You have Wood, Metal, Water, Fire and Earth? HOW? You consider yourself a JACK of all trades and a master of none? So what element. 9. In the above CEO example. Although a CEO overlooks all the FIVE ELEMENTS: Metal, Water, Wood, Fire and Earth. 9.1 BUT in life his MAIN JOB FUNCTION is to GROW the company = Wood. 10. In today's multi-skilling environment, if you have more than 1 CORE job function. And later find that your job is a Wood-water etc... it may not be wrong. If one can further see which is the most important.. then can go streamline again. 11. Thus appreciate if you don't list out your so many lines of job specifications and expect poor me to go thru one by one for you. And furthermore, even if I do so; it does or may not achieve any purpose.
  24. Part 1: These are some considerations: You wrote: "My chart is very unbalanced and if any of these activities belong to earth or metal, it would be great to know so I can do them more. water: 27%; wood: 54%; fire: 8%; earth: 10% metal: 0%" 1. If you had seen some of the sample ba zi reports. Where it can be as many as 90+ pages; perhaps, what you mentioned is like maybe you quote from "from birth" the inbalances. 2. Please note. The above is often a Chinese thing than for other races. 2.1. For example, some Chinese do consult a geomancer or may know how to select names based on tradition using the Big-5 (Traditional characters). 2.2. Here, the above chart is looked at and often a name is selected that is either the least affected by the inbalance or especially a plus point if it helps to improve it. For example a CHINESE Mandarin name with perhaps Metal element and fire element in it. And the name should not have wood element. 3. Please note, the above is the main way to use the above chart. Not that you have to go and chew metal or go and get a sun-burn (8%) in order to increase one's fire element. 4. In addition, please note that every 10 years of a person's life, the above elements may not be the same. Thus for example when born the person may have lots of wood. But at 24 years of age, may even only 4% wood. 5. Thus unfortunately, just relying on this static information alone... often... not FRUITFUL. 6. Do a search in past messages for sample ba zi reports.
  25. These are some considerations: 1. If in doubt always avoid Blue colour in the kitchen - as a rough rule-of-thumb. 2. Since the colour is not blue....it is better than Para 1. Thus in a kitchen environment; lets put it this way : in general: one will get less issues with the colours + wood material you mentioned. Or rather, less probability of getting it badly wrong with your colours chosen.
