1. Some of the considerations when buying a landed property be it already built or going to be re-built share common considerations:- http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/Want_to_build_your_dream_home%3F 2. Under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui:- 2.1 Majority of home should have "clear space" at the "frontage" to allow qi to "collect": this could be the garden of the home etc... 2.2 If a tall condo "blocks" your view or if your new home is within "prying" eyes of the units of the condo facing your home... many feel that it is no longer "privacy" for the home. 3. Under Flying Star, one would like to tap the Water star #8 and Mountain star #8 if it happens to be at the frontage or…

These are other major considerations:- 1. Location, location and location. 1.1 This has one of the highest weightage : Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. 1.2 Even under this location, location and location "thing" external Shapes and Forms far outweigh; looking at just the micro-Feng Shui of the interior or layout of a home. 2. The "BIG PICTURE" or in many of the psychological concepts mentioned by motivational speakers the word "THINK BIG". 2.1. For example, how many can say that they stay in a home or premises that is not "anchored" on solid ground? As mentioned previously the only people not under this category could be on a ship; a structure on the sea e.g. a Kelong or woo…

Dear Anon, Most practioners do not take into consideration the covered porch as it is not a `living quarters'. A few persons I understand took it wrongly to mean that this is a `missing' corner or a `protrusion.'. Since you are using a pie chart, you should usually consider up to the Main entrance door area. I agree that using a pie chart, is much easier than using the 9 squares method. What matters most is to be able to know what influences is at each of the sector. From here, you can then better place your furniture etc... Warmest Regards, Cecil

I am so glad this topic was brought up. Cecil, I understand what you are saying in regards to using local standard time for Pillars of Destiny and Feng Shui calculations? But I'm completely lost when I try to follow inauspicious/auspicious days for my true element. I live in Los Angeles, U.S. (Pacific Standard Time) and when I look at your real-time forecast it is for the day ahead. So today is March 9th and your forecast is for March 10. Is today really a "rabbit" day instead of a "tiger" day for Los Angeles? Or do I just use the forecast for March 9th?

Dear Anon, Usually, the Feng Shui Masters use the I-Ching for prediction. As Feng Shui has limited scope and not a predictive tool. In order to do a computer program, the programmer must be as good or better at feeding it the inputs i.e. garbage in garbage out. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Can someone explain the Caslte Gate method of Feng Shui. There are many resources and postings on the forum that most of the answers can be found if you just do an advanced search for Castle Gate Theory:- URL: http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=6&mid=9813 Basically, it is tilting a building (ideally) 45 degrees to the road or if this may not be possible; then, tilting the main door directions 45 degrees instead. As the word `Castle' suggests; it has also has water. Therefore in order for it work, water (not still water) is used here. Water at the frontage must be moving e.g. a fountain to activate the `castle' …

Hi, Please read below:- You can hang anything you want. The only thing is when you want to be concerned with Feng Shui, then you would want to hang items which are good for you rather then bad for you. Say if you a a weak wood, then hanging water type objects is beneficial for you because it is your favourable elements that help you grow. Say if you are Earth person, then hanging water type objects represents your Wealth as Earth destroy Wealth. However, please note that you should be a strong Earth to have full benefit of this because, when your earth is used to destroy water element, it gets weaken also. So it all depends. Nothing in the world is all bad. It is bad…

Sorry the photo is blur. But can you see the outline of the "moon" gate at the entrance of the home? This "moon" gate arch is supported by the two gate pillars of the home.

Hi, In my opinion, it is not based on Traditional Feng Shui. Perhaps, the author is capitalizing on the theme " Feng Shui " to sell the book. I have not read the book but it should be a book on " Pets." rather than FS. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Buck Seng, Thanks for posting your message. Frankly, the hardest to reply are messages related to Shapes and Form especially if one is not physically present to comment. This is many things can be missed out e.g. especially whether the TPE follows towards the house in a curved manner inwards or outwards. In addition, the height of the flat and many more relating to the dragon and tiger elements etc... Therefore, I sincerely hope you understand that it is not fair for me to make a comment unless one is physically there. Shapes and Form assessment is unlike other questions posted here where it is about concepts etc... Other than Shapes and Form School, you sh…

Dear Edwin, edwin tay wrote: I read with interest when you mentioned traditional Feng Shui and the Black Hat Sect. Can you tell us what's the difference between them. Basically, Traditional Feng Shui practise feng shui through the use of many concepts such as Shapes and Form, Compass Schools (Eight House/Flying Star), Ba Zi, I-Ching etc. They make use many of these tools which helps to personalise a person to the home. Black Hat Sect practise using static templates (ie South-West is Romance corner for example), so every's Romance activation sector is South-West. Dear Users, This has to do with BELIEFs than Feng Shui: 1. Attached illustration showing that it is inauspicious to use a divider to keep shoes (facing the main entrance door). 2. It is very inauspicious to give a friend a pair of shoes. Warmest Regards, Cecil P.S. Pictures not available for those listening in under the mailing list option.

Dear Eric, Frankly, if there is a double 7th month, often if someone is celebrating their lunar birthday; then the 1st 7th month is considered their birthday. Given that you have a constrain, here i.e. delay if renovations do not start, then, for practical reasons, you may carry out your renovations. But during the renovation period, avoid or try not to visit the home frequently especially to spent time to eat - sleep or eat - bathe or bathe-eat, there. Avoid performing a "supervisory" role during the 7th month when renovations are carried out. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, The semi-circular doormat should not be utilized in all areas of a residence. The most suitable place for the semi-circular doormat is at the entrance of a bedroom, for instance, positioned in front of the staircase. Apart from this, it is recommended to place it outside the house, even though it serves as a mild form of Feng Shui defensive tool. For instance, when ascending the staircase, the bedroom door is directly visible. In this scenario, the semi-circular doormat could be appropriately placed here to counteract the sha qi emanating from the staircase. Thus far, this is the only location or circumstance that I can identify as acceptable for…

Edited by Robert: There is no promise as to whether Cecil will have time to review the condo that you have listed as he is extremely busy. Hi Cecil, I am a new member here and find this site extremely interesting. It provides a comfort zone to analyse when one faces related feng sui issues. Had read your review and some of your feedback about condominium at or around Flora Road - specifically Dahlia Park and so. Wonder if you have any review about the blocks at Estella Gardens TOP 1999, which is located at Flora Road as well. Would appreciate your view. What do you think about this Project in general? and anyparticular view on the blo…

Dear Master Lee, Thank you very much for your reply. My house is Period 8facing W2. I understand that i cannot change the facing direction of the house by changingthe main door but would the following help to offset / minimise the unsuitability? i)main door currently in NW sector facing W and has the masterbedroom toilet above it. I plan tomove main door to W sector and face N so as to capture the m8 w8 stars and face one of our best directions.New doorposition would also no longer be under the masterbedroom toilet. ii)ensuring our sleeping and sitting directions are in our best direction. Looking forward to hear from you again. Best Wishes aulina

This reminds me (remotely) of another "incident" of the time, I went to Mcdonald's HQ (previously) at their HQ @ 2nd level King Albert's... Search for "mcdonalds" in the forum search function at the top left corner of this forum frame or Reference: http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=26725&new= Although the subject matter "Flyover" is the same; their was because of the flyover that was built and curved (sliced) towards their HQ.... Frankly, without any photos or visual images, very difficult to see how bad it is. As it is, it sound real bad. From a Feng Shui point of view; besides looking at the Flying Star numbers; the other key ar…

Dear Jason, Please read below:- ----- Original Message ----- From: Listmanager To: Sent: Tuesday, July 06, 1999 11:33 PM Subject: Wealth Elements The element which you destroy is your wealth element. However, although I can generally deduce the element is represented by it, in order to deduce whether it is main wealth or unexpected wealth, you need to refer to the Pillars as a condition is required to deduce it. Hi, Currently there are four methods of dealing with a T junction (not in any order of importance):- 1. Change the angle of the door to face one of your best directions i.e. tilt the door to one that faces one of your good directions. This is said to `kill' two birds with one stone. 2. If your main entrance door is elevated, you can have semi-circular steps leading to the house. This is one technique of `radiating' sha ch' away from your main entrance. 3. Alternatively, if your main entrance is level to your external of the house, you could consider a specially made semi-circular carpet e.g. of half of a sun with it's fiery sunlight (spikes) radiating away from the mai…

I decided to hang them up in my room. However, when my mother saw it she said it is very bad to hang up dragons and tigers in your room. She told me only emperors can do that. It is very bad for me to do something like that since I am born in the year of the pig. Actually, it is best not hang any painting that contains fierce looking creatures/animals. For a very simple reason, because they contain a lot of Sha Qi. It is ok to hang any auspicious/happy loooking paintings as it just brings …
