1. Contrary to popular belief, please take note that a closed fridge is considered as belonging to the metal element. 2. Thus, for those who wish to have more metal in the kitchen may consider a bigger fridge. Thus it is acceptable to have the fridge face a stove in many instances. While trying to avoid the basin (washing tap) facing the stove. This is no good.

Hi, This " School " of Feng Shui believes that 5 hanging lights represents each of the Five Elements and can be placed a a location to represent each of the Five elements. It can be all of the same colour. Some went to extent of using five different coloured bulbs. Symbolically, in the day time one need not light up the bulbs. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Please note the following: 1. Usually keeping a crystal would not cause a nightmare. If one is talking about more than one crystals, it would depend. One way of checking this is to use the Flying Star Report and analyse that particular sector for any over influence or imbalance of the earth element. Many FS practioners consider `crystal' as originating from the earth and we have in an earlier message covered that the earth element is associated with number 2 (sickness star) and 5 (misfortune star). Here, the theory is that too much of the earth element would cause an imbalance at the sector. It is thus not so much of nightmares but rather i.e. if Star 2 and 5…

Hi, This is not a real issue because under the Eight House Theory, one aspect is that it is advantages or good to have the `kitchen' location where the spouse or " woman " of the house have the good intangible force in that sector despite whether there is a oven or a microwave in the location. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Edited by Robert Lee: Cecil has been exceptionally busy, as such he haven't yet had time to add new reviews for condominium from Forum post request. You may have to seek professional services for a professional house hunting review if you need it urgently. Hi Cecil Do you have any comments on Westcove Condo as I actually intend to purchase 1 unit there - convenient amenities, near NUS, etc?

Oops! You may have wrongly posted your question to the wrong "type" of Feng Shui forum. This forum only practises "Traditional Authentic Chinese Feng Shui". It would be better if you post your question to a "Modern Commercialised so called Feng Shui forum". Frankly, your guess is as good as mine! Quote: Anonymous wrote: I have a question concerning the bagua... I live in a tiny studio apartment, but I think I've done a good job of giving each section of the place a distinct yet harmonious flavor. Throughout the years, I have had a frustrating quandary: some people say the bagua needs to be laid over the home using cardinal directions, and others say the entrance sta…

Dear Toni, In your case, there are three sets of principles you can apply:- 1. Interior layout of your caravan should follow some of the suggestions provided under the topic " The Home " e.g. the position of the basin in relation to the stove and the position of the bed/table. 2. If you know your true element and it's strengths (Pillars of Destiny) you can apply it to your van eg. if say you are considered a person with weak water: you could enhance your caravan by having blue, grey (as an example). If your element is Water, and you have some designs or logo, you could have a logo that is wavy to represent the Water element. 3. When parking your caravan at night, follow s…

Dear Fraser, The consensus amongst Feng Shui practioners is that there is no changes to the practise of Feng Shui in both the Northern and Southern Hemisphere. No one has thus far provided a valid and substantiated arguement to show that Feng Shui is practised differently in the Southern Hemisphere. Many who mentioned this may have a hidden agenda or some choose to "seek fame" in coming up with such an arguement. So far, these are not proven and majority to mentioned, I believe did not do any indept analysis. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Key Success Factors in D.I.Y. Feng Shui to attract wealth cannot be based on just one sentence. It involves the understanding / the application of some of these concepts:- * Fix-the-Leak, First! Dear Vakta, Definitely not in a (sleeping) bedroom. Usually, it can either be placed in a "private" room such as the study or for the Chinese, it is quite common to be placed in the living room wall(s). But it is best not to place the photos facing the toilet, or share the toilet wall or face the dinning table. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Thanks for the advice! Yes, the staircase will have a landing - 11 steps, 7 steps, 11 steps and lastly 7 steps. That's okay?? So you wouldn't recommend a staircase in that sector huh? That would have been a good spot in our floor plan (we don't know what else to put in that sector because of the negative stars). I guess we'll have to find another sector to put the staircase.

Of course it is nice-to have everything done prior to the 7th month. But as you had mentioned; fortunately, only the odds and ends are left. Critically, the stove has to be in and often the bed should be ready. Other things you mentioned; ain't that serious at all- Good enough-

Dear Anon, For "fire-at-heaven's" gate, another remedy is the use of "earth" at the fire-gate-area. For example, earthenware or do add some pottery pieces at the location. Here, under the Five Elements concept: "Earth" element helps to draw or reduce the "Fire" element. Warmest Regards, Cecil Anonymous wrote: Hello -- Just bought my second house with, what I now beleive is fire at heaven's gate. 1. For the lay person, please use the simple to understand summary and the pre analysed information e.g. auspicious, inauspicious, average, mixed blessings etc. 2. For paid reports where we provide expert help; we use such information (footnotes) if necessary to rank or fine tune our recommendations for our clients. For free reports, as mentioned earlier, use the easy to understand information: for example, things like auspicious, average and even very inauspicious is clear-cut already. 3. Everything in the free report is similar to the paid report except no hourly timing analysis is given.

Dear Sim Oh, Sim Oh wrote: I have a desk facing 170 degree South which is a corner of the living room, it's a corner desk. Working on the desk has always lead to unproductive work and stress. Isee several potentialproblems with such a layout. 1. The corner from the cupboard will be cutting into you whenever you sit and work. Really better to have a rectangluar table that extends from the cupboard. 2. Also, it is often better to work on a rectangle shaped table rather than such triangle shaped table. 3. The facing direction you have indicated, means that you will be hit by the West sun light if there is no other room to shield this room. I cannot be certain because you…

Frankly, in my opinion; 1. Some of us like you had never knew of Feng Shui before. And, realistically, and touch-wood; if everything seems fine; one may even totally forget that Feng Shui existed and lead a wholesome life. 2. This is because if one wants to apply Feng Shui; there are many things to look out for:- 2.1 Feng Shui Triage 2.2 Fix-the-Leak, First! 2.3 The Concept of Maximizing Marks 3. To apply Feng Shui in the optimum manner; there are no short cuts...

Dear Ber, Please see below:- Usually, it is adviseable to have the stove facing almost directly the entrance door: 1. Especially if the knobs are facing the door. Where possible get a stove with the knobs should facing the `air'/ceiling. 2. The best location for such a kitchen is where it is located at the South compass point. This is because, South represents the Fire element and even with the stove facing the door, enough `heat' is still retained in the house. The worst position is to have the Kitchen at the North where one may `truely' exhaust the heat from the kitchen. 3. The other option is avoid having the main entrance door opened unless necessary. Other than …

1. Further to what I mentioned earlier, it is always good to exercise moderation when applying Feng Shui. 2. It should not be a case where we turn our lives `upside' down trying to `fit' ourselves to meet FS standards. But rather, we should exercise moderation, when applying Feng Shui. 3. Many of us, read widely about the `Do's and Don'ts' of FS. For many people, they simply carry on with their daily lifes after applying some of the best FS practises. 4. If we take FS `too seriously' it results in only the equivalent of trying to do "interior decoration" to our home or control our lives. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Gustavo, Please see below:- You should place the Ba Gua mirror above the main entrance door (directly at the centre). It is best to use a convex mirror to deflect sha qi (poison arrow). And not the concave mirror which is used to absorb good qi (for auspicious location). Alternatively, you can use a semi-circular carpet which radiates out of the house. If the toilet is at `true' compass points e.g. 0 degrees, 45 degrees, 90 degrees etc... frankly nothing can be done here. Other than to close the toilet door when not in use, keep the location bright and dry. Warmest Regards, Cecil

In my opinion, if it is just a very short "disturbance" e.g. just one or two nails to a wall, is STILL OK (acceptable).

Quote: 1)Do favourable directions same as area? Meaning my favourable direction is west. So best is bedroom at west of the house and bed position facing west? 1. Under the Eight House concept: It is considered"nice-to-have" for a west group person to have his bedroom located in the WEST. And it is equally "nice-to-have" (also) if his bed-head is facing west or NW or SW or NE. Thus it is good to have all these"favourable" factors. The"more the better".
