Accountancy is of the metal element. I personally would consider cartooning to be a form of Art and hence of the water element. Glyn

Dear Anon, Usually, what you had described is considered under the category of "Commonsense approach" to Feng Shui. This is often considered inauspicious because that there may be a probability or "a higher risk" of landslide. Especially if there is unduly a heavy rain and plus soil erosion. Because of this reason, it is considered inauspicious under Feng Shui. However, if this is not a concern, then, frankly (in general) there is no issue. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Anonymous wrote: could you please let me know if up hill back gardens (when the ground behindones housegoesvery steep up)could have anegativeeffect.

Dear Raja, 1. Let me share with you my personal experience on laughing Buddha and all sorts of crystals... 2. I personally feel that these should be treated merely as decorative items. 3. Typically, in Singapore, especially those who are Chinese, mandarin educated, staying in three room apartments and some four room (government housing), do have such figurines in their homes. Often, they not only have one laughing buddha, but often even two, a coin bank or even the three-legged toad. Plus often, at least a fish tank. And often, they would have stayed in the home for more than 8 or more years with little progress. 4. Imagine, already, their flat is cluttered, adding more …

Dear Jacqueline, Frankly, it is difficult to give proper advise, given limited information. This is because, usually, when we approach a home, we look at the layout plan or of the interior of the home; the location of toilets, openings e.g. side openings etc.. to see if the wealth leak can be minimised. In relation to the current `wall' etc.. It also includes scanning of the next door neighour and the fully area front, back etc.. Therefore, given the limited info, it would not be a good idea to give any remedy as you had mentioned, it may bring far worse complications if done wrongly. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Master Thanks for you advice. The house is a Period 6 house (built around 1968) and my best direction (prosperity) is north west. The house front faces South east, the back is towards north west and the toilet is in the centre of this north west sector next to the back door. I have been lighting a candle in the toilet and placing water in a wooden bowl inside as well. Will this help? Also, can a iron bell or windchimes help to activate this section of the house for me? I hope you can advise me further. Thanks again. Regards Peter

Dear Robert, Thank you for your patience andprecious time in replying which I am most grateful. I am sorry that I did not realise you needed the exact Year and Hour information which I have now obtained for you - 1955 and between 3am-5am. I do understand that EARTH is present thewhole yearround and is especially influential in the 3rd month of every season. What I do not understand is why the Month Pillar branch in the 4-Pillar Chart shows WOODinstead of Earthor Water as the season of birth isWinter (Jan 25 western calendar) and not Spring. Once again thank you very much for your help which is much appreciated. Best Regards,

Dear Anon, In the past, concern was more for the measurements based on the Feng Shui ruler. For example, it was found that the imperial foot or more commonly the size of the briefcase was an auspicious measurement which was considered good for placing documents. Although colors has meanings e.g. Red is considered auspicious etc... what you had mentioned e.g. may in someways taken based on Life Associations concept i.e. fixed templates, in my opinion, what you had mentioned goes more towards commercialisation than anything else. Thus, personally, I would not use the information based on the article. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Chris, Chris Yeo wrote: Pls let me know the procedure if we wish to stop praying and move away the idols at our home. Is it true that ifI wish to pray, the idols should be invited by me and not by my mother? The present idols are invitedby my mother and they have since stayed with me since my mother moved house. If you wish to pray, then the person who wishes to pray should invite the idol. The sames goes, for returning. If possible the person who invited the idol should also be the one who return it. For example, if it is goddess of mercy, then you should return to the goddess of mercy temple. Exactly what to do can vary depending on what type of idol is being wo…

Best that the actual home is completed with photos is a good choice. As currently, this one picture unfortunatelydoes not give enough depth of understanding.

Dear Jen, Thanks for the information. Yes, this is very common even locally in my country, also. It is not necessarily true all the time that such houses will have a wealth leak. As many of us are aware: 1. Under Flying Star Feng Shui, certain homes (based on facing direction) are said to have better qi flow then others. Thus, in one aspect, a home with a good facing direction does matter. 2. How suitable the house is to the breadwinner. This is another consideration. 3. Quantum Leap in Feng Shui Often, a home (on it's own) can be an average or good house. But, ulitmately, some homes can "suck wealth" from it's neighbours. Only then, can there be a quantum leap in Feng Sh…

1. Please note that a home can be considered as falling into any one of the 24 sectors. And there are differences in where your home frontage is (main door) etc... As ALL landed property would normally have two or three exit drainage points: and 1 or 2 are meant for wealth luck. and the 3rd exit point is usually for "Power and authority" (e.g. a politician, staying a home can weld great power or a boss / CEO). 2. Thus, all these new proper analysis. It is not like typing a few sentences and then "you get your answers immediately". http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/Want_to_build_your_dream_home%3F#IS_THE_DRAINAGE_OF_MY_HOUSE_IMPORTANT.3F 3. Without the above, might as well …

Dear Kalvin, Kalvin Toh wrote: I need some help as i am chosing the paint for my new house, i am a strong metal and wife is weak water. Now I am choosing a paint for my flat and didn't know what colour to choose from. Can anyone help? Water would be your most favourable binding element. Strong metal likes Water to exhaust the excess Metal, while weak water needs more Metal and Water to make it stronger. So any light shades of blue/black/gray (Water element) would be an element favourable to both. A little Wood element shades (Green/Brown) and Metal (white/gold) together with Water element will be good. This is because Water element makes both of you strong, while Wood w…

1. Please note that the article is only based on general comments and statements. 2. And it does not apply only to churches. 3. In my part of the world, some temples are "clean" while others would cause concern. For example, try using a Chinese Luopan at certain temples and it maydetect some form of entity. 4. Symbolically, it is considered inauspicious to face symbols such as a cross or it's spine etc... Katrina L. wrote: I've been reading your free articles. 1. Usually it is difficult to guage what kind of problem or issue as it also depends on the height of the pyramids, whether it is a full pyramid or simply it looks like a partial pyramid like Conrad in Singapore. And the distance to it and/or is any of the sharp points pointed towards your office window. 2.One can apply the concept: "If it cannot be seen it no longer can become a threat. " If so, often most or all offices uses some kind of a blind - close the blind as a possible "solution" to the "problem" if any.

Dear Cheui May, 1. It depends! There are many variables involved and it needs a `trained' eye to analyse the information in depth. For example, one has to look at the gradient of the house in relation to the `poison' arrow, the level of the pavement and other factors including the traffic level of the road. The road here represents something like `water channels'. 2. Thus, it is difficult to give a standard answer. 3. However, as a `rule of thumb', if one can see it, it is still a threat i.e. if you stand at the front entrance and can see e.g. the lamp post slicing the house (tangent) or perpendicular to it this is considered a threat. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear James, 1. Often, a better method is to apply Flying Star Feng Shui. This is because, if the sector that you are placing a water position has #3 or #4 i.e. bad wood elements (disputes, legal entanglements, scandals etc...) 2. Then under the Five elements concept: Water helps fuel wood element. 3. In such a situation, this will further inflame #3 or #4. 4. If you are not sure what I am talking about, please do some research into Flying Star. Or do a SEARCH in this forum for this topic. 5. The worst location based on Shapes and Forms Feng Shui is to try and avoid water position at WEST direction of the house. As this is said to be the white-tiger domain. Water could in…

In my opinion, these are some considerations: 1. Overall, based on Shapes and Forms, majority of the blocks are tall point blocks (from a distance much like thoseHDB 5-room point-blocks of themid-1970's era). 2. Onegood thing about such "point blocks eg.Blk 20, 26, 28, 30, 32 - based on Shapes andForms allows qi to flow well from most directions. 3.Majority of the stacks face North-South directions (slight tilt) towards the north-west but in general most of the developmentunder Flying Star Feng Shui should be Period 7 (10 years old) apartments: stacks facing either North or South directions. 4. Based on current Period 8, 2004 to 2023, the better facingstacks (standing…

Dear Anon, There is some truth in this statement. 1. It is best to keep or concentrate pumbing to one side of the house: 1.1. For the developers, it is easier to build. (Although this is not our main concern here). 1.2. Many good houses have the above characteristics. Even many `good' buildings reserve e.g. a corner of the building for the pantry area, the male and female toilet is at this corner of the house. 1.3. The next important characteristics is to have the water position share an external wall. Here, this simply means that if the toilet shares an external wall it can never be at the centrepoint of the house. 1.4. In my opinion, it is not so much of preventing the …

Dear Lindsay, There are quite a few stores, have unconcealed ceilings `similiar' to what you have described. Overall, it is acceptable to have the beams especially if it is at the display area. This is why the customers walk around and they are not under the beam at prolonged times. However, for the office (or admin office) try to avoid working under the beams. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Water in the west is bad because: 1. The west is a yin location 2. Water will make west even more yin, thus creating an imbalance. 3. During period 7, even if you have #7 water star, water is bad as it can cause loss of wealth. So, during period 7, no water in the west, unless you want to experience financial problems. Glyn

Dear Anon, 1. Frankly a small water feature is nothing more than a "play" thing.. Not effective and often, one becomes a "slave" as this small water fountain is always "thirsty"! Needs to be constantly topped up with water else it goes dry fast! Due to evaporation and air-conditioning drying the water. 2. For a proper water position, best to use Flying Star Feng Shui to determine where is the Water star #8 (current prosperity) star). 3. Similarly, you should determine where is the Mountain Star #8 and the stone can be placed at that sector. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Anonymous wrote: Hi Master Cecil. thank you for your fast reply. I have one more question. I have…
