In this newly completed HDB building project; workers are not allowed to go to sites like Facebook... Oops! sorry! sorry! This is not an office environment; but rather a construction site! Therefore how can construction workers get hold of their own personal computer(s)! But rather... the workers on this construction site were instructed not to sleep and eat inside the multi-storey car park... Most likely the supervisorsof the developerare worried that sleeping in the car park can be harzardous for their health. For example, a vehicle may just roll and kill the poor worker who is sleeping on the job!

The bed faces either a curtain, sliding door, or partition.
Cecil Lee posted a topic in General Help
In my opinion, there is no concern. What led to this thing about legs facing a door = inauspicious is due to the fact that in the past and even today; if one live in a landed property. And if the coffin is brought home. The coffin would be laid with the legs facing the main entrance. This is how;it is considered inauspicious for the legs to facea DOOR leadingout of the home. Look at from common sense or cow sense; your walk-in-wardrope or walk-in-closet is an enclosedspace; how to carry out a "coffin" thru the walk-in-closet?It is pure common sense. -
In my opinion, it is Nice-to have an auspicious date specific to the person or combination of persons. If you not privy to the auspicious hours, then follow what I had written i.e. good sounding hours. All these are added plus(es) e.g. auspicious hour + good sounding hours = nice-to have...

All of us must learn to crawl before we can walk or run. If all these caricatures sounds greek; then if one wants to DIY; jolly well go start learning greek, please.... And do remember; locationsfor mountain star does not fall out of the sky. One has to get a layout plan, find the centrepoint; find the actual compass direction etc........ Again, if it sounds greek; better go and learn greek... there is no ifs and buts... about it...

Futher to what I had mentioned; these are futher considerations: 1. A bed facing a curtain is no issue. However, walking thru curtains that is months old may be a "commonsense" concern. Here, if we do not wash the curtains regularly; all the germs would multiply on the curtain. 1.1. And when we walk past or walk thru the curtain; we are only rubbing the germs into our skin e.g. our face has a natural oil protection. And walking thru such a curtain may even deposit the germs onto our face. 2. Best that the side of the partition is not aimed towards the bed. Just imagine the side of the partition or the edge of the partition as a form of a "cutting blade or knife" aimed towards our body. This is considered inauspicious. 3. Where possible, all major bedroom doors should open inwards. Thus it is best not to install a sliding door to a bedroom door. However, there is no issue if the toilet door is sliding or if there is a walk-in-wardrope; this door can also be a sliding door. -
Frankly, as I had mentioned; if you are really into the DIY Feng Shui; you have to be serious about reading more or learning more about it. I can understand that you are extremely anxious to zoom into solutions without a proper foundation. Some of us seems to think that the mother of all cures or enhancements can be conveyed in a few simple sentences. But, in my opinion; already things like your layout plan; the compass direction; finding the frontage and sitting directions of your home.. di di da da ... and age of house etc... are just the start and not just as simple as what you wrote, below: "so how to activate them" or "do you mean to activate" By the fact you wrote the above; in my opinion; your knowlege is next to nil. If you are in a hurry to implement; perhaps, you may have to contact a competent geomancer to do it for you. Your questions (or postings) are equal to such questions as:- How many eyes does a normal human have? How many fingers do we have? How many nose(s) do we have. Or How many wheels does a normal car have? Or How many lifes a cat is suppose to have? Or 1 + 1 = ? Or I have 6 apples and I ate 1; how many apples have I left? Your postings are therefore equivalent of the above.

Appreciate if you can re-read my previous message. My message is a request that if you are into DIY; and in particular; into annual Feng Shui of sorts; you have to be conversant with things like the Five Elements concept. I am sure if you have a grounding in this; what I mentioned, will not sound greek.

The most important consideration is that when sleeping; one's legs must not face an opening; Other than the above other senarios are not an issue. -
Under Holy Trinity of Luck; and if further zoomed into the Earth Luck or Feng Shui:- 1. Earth luck comprise of : your home and if you work in a separate office; the luck from both areas. 2. Thus, one tool is the use of Flying Star Feng Shui on both the home and office 3. For the home; to boost salea and networking luck: the main primary stars are Mountain Star #8 (current prosperity) Mountain Star #9 (future prosperity) Mountain Star #1 (future, future prosperity) 4. Besides this, you to maximize luck from all areas in home and if possible, office.

These are some considerations: 1. If the water feature is as close to the sound of nature; should not be "irritating" even to Tai Sui. 2. More importantly, it also depends on the Flying Star numbers at that sector. 2.1. For example, some Flying star combinations such as MS#9 with Water#3 and base #1; if there are similar Flying Star numbers such as these at a sector; even without Tai Sui; there should be "no noise" or rather; that sector should be "quiet". 2.2.Thus, it is not true that each time Tai Sui goes to a specific sector; must remain quiet. What happens if Tai Sui is at your living room and located at the TV area. You mean to say: don't turn-on the TV for the entire year?

1. In Feng Shui; there is a controversy with regards to buildings on "Stilts". 2. From a Shapes and Forms perspective: 2.1. Many traditionalist be it Geomancers or old folks tales; many older persons feel very uncomfortable living a home on "stilts". 2.2. This is understandable given that if the structure is weak; the entire block would just collapse onto itself. 2.3. From another perspective; many geomancers would often ask their clients to refrain from buying the "first" unit just above the stilts. For example in this 5 block development; the upper floors start at #3 (level three or the 3rd storey). 3. On the other-hand; The Ritz Carlton Hotel is build on stilts. As the argument set forth by the hotel was that they were advised to do so. So that spirits can just pass thru such an area (stilts).

Recently launched (2011) 99 year lease condo at Petir Road 1. Personally having seen many new developments and their sales brochure throught the years; 2. The newly (this year launched) Foresque Residences Sales Brochure is what caught my attention. 3. Don't get me right or wrong.. I am saying that condo is excellent; but rather; the most striking thing that caught my eye within the pages of the SALES brochure is two drawings or illustrations. 4. These two pieces (see attachment) are pieces or "work of art" that only Shapes and Forms persons truly admire. 5. Even if it is in black and white; lot of swirls; one sees all the qi swirling, meandering around "point" or tower blocks. 6. As I always say; tower blocks are often the safest bet. (Other than some of the information that will be provided on the 2nd thread to this message - has to do with all towers on "stilts" : where there are two sides of the coin...

1. If you intend to DIY; then these are some of the resources:- Eight House or Flying Star Flying Star Feng Shui as a Diagnostic Tool 2. The rest is beyond this General advice forum.

1. In my opinion; based on eye-ball to estimate the centrepoint of the home: What you mentioned: kitchen, laundry room and guest bathroom: in my opinion ARE NOT in the middle of the house. 2. Many of your other questions are too specific for this General Advice Forum. The test is : "Does anyone else cares too hoots about other specific questions related only to self or family etc.." In addition, it is so easy to post and who is going to do all the (calculations, analysis) or the homework for you? 3. Please take note that the Sun deck and garage ARE not actual interior living spaces and often not considered when determing the centrepoint or centre of gravity of the living area. However, there is such thing as either protusions or missing areas. In this layout plan; the Family area as highlighted in purple should be considered as a protusion.

In my opinion, there are two contrary view points: 1. The most common from a Flying Star Feng Shui is: often one hears this saying "Such a waste that the current prosperity is located in the kitchen". 1.1. For example, for the current period 8; instead of having the current prosperity especially double auspicious wealth sectors at the frontage; the current prosperity is "wasted" in the kitchen area. What a waste! 1.2. Here, if the double #8's can also be at the living room area; or area of activity where one can enjoy the influence of good qi. 1.3. For some, the kitchen and yard area can be "messy" and if the double #8s are located there; make sure that the kitchen area is tidy; and laundry (yard) as clean as possible: not saying that one cannot hang clothes, underwear or even bra at that area. Just make sure that it is "presentable". 2. From a Eight House concept; the best way to understand is the site for an auspicious gravesite. 2.1. Here, since the dead person is stationary; under the Yin concept of Eight House (Compass School) Feng Shui; it is always preferred that the dead is "sitting" at a good SECTOR e.g. head lying down facing a good sector vs someone sitting up facing a good sector.

The oldest public housing development is located along Tiong Bahru area. The old airport road area type of public housing is considered second to the abovedevelopment. Fortunately, these quaint 1960's type of public housing has not being demolised along Dakota Crescent. These are "retained" for now... Because of it's close proximity to Singapore's first ever airport located near-by (currently People's Association along Nicol Highway; these flats are always up to a certain resticted height. Since the airport had moved to Paya Lebar and now to Changi airpot; newer development across the street e.g. Jalan empat etc... are high rise development. Not limited by the height restrictions of the ancient past.. anymore...

These are some considerations: 1. Never use a standalone piece of glass or natural stones such as a piece of marble or granite to suspend an altar. 2. The best support "beam" for an altar should be made of wood (or plywood) material. 3. This is pure commonsense. If the standalone is a piece of glass; if the glass inadvertendly cracks; all the items on the altar would come crashing down. 4. There is no issue if the base of the altar is a wooden plank and a cut-out piece of glass placed onto this wooden plank to make it easier to clean the surface of the altar is fine or ok. 5. Usually if measured from the (completed) flooring to the TOP of the suspended altar is 49 3/4 inches.

The fan in the attached photos have retractable blades. BUT of aFeng Shui friendlier design... This streamlineand elegant design is better than the earlier boomerang type of design. It looks more "femine".
-
Under symbolism in Feng Shui: fans with boomerang type of blades should if possible be avoided especially it is facing the main entrance door or installed in a bedroom. The fan in the attached photos have retractable blades. For example, the blade would retract when the fan is not operational. And extend out fully when operational.
