In this photo; this tree is relatively young. Only the uncovered area where the tree trunk can be seen could be a potential poison arrow; especially if it were to be facing an open window or main entrance door.

Lion figurines are always very popular with Chinese Singaporeans - no matter where the place is! To the Chinese; RED is considered a very auspicious colour.

Topic (2/6):House Direction Trouble - Urgent Advise Needed Pls Posted in: Discuss :: Free Advice (General Feng Shui) Posted on: Wed, 04 Mar 2009, 06:38 AM, Reference: http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=24666&new= 1. There are many factors to consider for an apartment:- 1.1. Shapes and Forms Feng Shui 1.2. Flying Star Feng Shui 1.3. Eight House (East / West Group) 2. The "unknown" factor, here is how good or bad the Shapes and Forms of the new apartment. 3. Flying Star Feng Shui: What period is this apartment? Period 6 or 7 or even 8? What facing direction it is: S1 or S2/3 under Flying star Feng Shui It would be considered good Flying Star Feng Shui if the home is a Period 8, S2 or S3. But for S1, hopefully, the toilet or kitchen is not drowned at it's North side. Some homes that have better Flying Star can withstand "poor" Eight House of the owners. Since this overall luck is higher, than the individual Eight House incompatibility. For your previous apartment, both Period 7 and 8 only have good stars at the frontage, otherwise, they need to be disarmed or neutralised as other than the frontage every other sector has relatively nasty stars that need to be disarmed. 4. Thus if apartment has good Shapes and Forms of both the external and interior laout, this would be a plus side! 5. With these two major unknowns; it is a question mark, here. As especially NW Period 7; even if it suits both you and your brothers may not equally have good luck as all Period 7, NW apartments have their water wealth (clear space) locked up at the centre of the home. And most of the time, even if one wants to try to activate water wealth #8 for such a home, it is only giving "small luck". In GENERAL, a west group person may consider NE or SW facing homes as having better wealth (but need to disarm health issues). 6. Usually if we single handledly consider just the Flying Star, in GENERAL, ranking of facing directions (excluding Shapes and Forms) are:- Ranking by Flying Star choice ===================== Rank 1: NE or SW facing (But beware of afternoon sun) Rank 2: South facing Rank 3: East or West facing (But beware of afternoon sun) Not so fantastic facing directions are usually:- Last Resort 1: NW or SE (But if under Period 8, can consider) Last, last Resort 2: North Rank 1, 2 and 3, would benefit greatly if they are Period 8 apartments. However, again, individual layout plans has to be evaluated. As the above is a very GENERAL guideline based on "Academic" Feng Shui and does not look into the greater details of room layouts, living rooms (clear space) where are the kitchen / toilets etc....
-
Further to what I had mentioned; 1. If the apartment is either stacks: 17, 18, 21, 22 or 23; and if we consider the facing direction as having the most "yang qi" then these stacks belong the Period 8: North-west 3 facing direction. 2. For a Period 8: NW3 facing apartments (and conversely the SE3 facing) these flats only advantage is the frontage. Otherwise, the rest of the other 8 palaces or sectors have very nasty flying star numbers. And this could be one of the CONTRIBUTING factor(s) in pulling down the luck of the apartment. 3. In many of the past forum messages: NW and SE "facing homes" under Period 8 are ranked lower than better facing directions: SW / NE.

In my opinion; the term "It Depends" applies to any unit or stack. The plot especially with the slanted block three slants; and with a top-view or helicopter view: the two blocks form a triangular looking outline. From a micro Shapes and Forms point of view; for Tangerine Grove; the more stable block is that of Block One. While Block Three's slant from a broad pespective is not the "norm" if we consider how mother nature intends it to. For example this slant is to accommodate the site-layout and not the other way around. For this reason; it pulls down the score for Block Three. Thus before starting a race; it would seem that one is perhaps already at a disadvantage. In fact, for such site and block layouts Block one and three; like the hot and cold continuum; there can be extremes: some units have bad Feng Shui equivalent to the tsunami or earthquake scale of 8.5 to 10.0. While some other units will enjoy tremendous luck! Usually on it's own; can still sustain any major "leaks". But not for long; if a series of more "leaks" are/were detected. This include how suitable the unit is to the breadwinner(s) and more... In your case, your unit most likely have three or more "leaks". Perhaps; the church may be considered a leak. And there should be at least one or two more "leaks" that have pulled down your family luck so badly. Hope you understand; it is difficult to comprehend given the limited information. From an "eyeball" look; the Feng Shui Flying Star chart may also not be fantastic as often your facing direction has only good stars while the rest of the other sectors; most likely have "nasty" Flying star numbers; from an educated guess could also be a contributory factor. In my opinion all these "negatives" could perhaps pull down the "luck" of your unit so badly.

1. Sorry to learn about your situation. 2. As you have not mentioned whether you are staying alone or with your family; 3. If you are staying with your family; then it is best to discuss with your (partner) or family members on a move. 3.1 Hope you understand; most of us are just by-standers when we look at your message. 3.2 And being by-standers; it is so easy for us to utter the words "move!'. Thus, based on the Holy Trinity of the Chinese system: one of the key ingredients is "Human or man" luck factors - group concensus. 4. On a practical side; it is so easy to say "move". But, of course; all of us hope that we can move to a "better" location and not .. worse-off location. This is a question mark. 5. If or should you have had your home Feng Shuied (earlier) then best to remove any items that were placed in the home - if any. Or if you had DIY Feng Shui and (if had) bought lots of Feng Shui stuff (again if any); then best to remove all of them. Good Luck!

Many of us can so easily spot poison arrows! Those circled in RED in the three photos may pose a threat to near-by neighbours who are of the same height as these poison arrows. However, just looking down on thesecircled objects or roofs does not mean that it can be a threat. For example; if the poison arrow in the form of a triangular roofisat "16 storey" high; then a near-by buildingof the same height and have openings facing the triangular roof would be affected by the sha-qi.

A. In my opinion; these are some of the considerations regarding the use of Flying Star: 1. Macro Feng Shui: 1.1 If the entire property needs to place a water position or landscaping works; then drawing a full Flying Star chart of the combined TWO dwellings into one. 2. Micro Feng Shui: 2.1 If you want to map out your interior layout plan; it is more practical to apply it say to your specific dwelling instead of the combined TWO dwellings. The rationale is simple: if you use the combined TWO dwellings; then half the compass areas are no longer within your zone. Thus one may end up with only half the areas like: North, East and SE sectors... While West, NW, SW could belong to the other half of the dwelling. How does one reconcile these sectors. Furthermore, these sectors are out-of one's domain or control. 2.2 For a Flying Star chart or even Eight House chart; one can even draw a chart based on a small room e.g. one's bedroom - if one want's to. 2.3 In many complexes (office complex or factory complex) e.g. a complex has many units within it. These units are "carved" out from a single complex. Thus in a complex; there may be 100 units. If a geomancer was tasked to do a reading for a specific unit; he would plot the chart for that specific unit. Much like your TWO dwellings split into two type of situation. Hope that helps.

Frankly, as explained; in my previous message. One has to be realistic... I don't get to see your layout nor working.. and I have already shared the "best practise" technique.(In addition; it is implied that the compass readings and even the flying star chart = is correct).
-
These are some considerations: 1. In my opinion; many practising geomancers would prefer to use the "Pie-chart" method. 2. While many book authors would prefer to illustrate using the9 grids or called by whatever other terms. 3. Flying star is about Qi or (wind). Thus, for me; I would use the Pie-chart and see which openings fall closer to a true compass bearing. 3.1 For example; the balcony windows run across say NE sector. While a solid wall is behind East. 3.2 Thus, I would consider the qi coming into that sector as being stronger for NE. Thus, I may/might consider that sector being more greatly influenced by NE than East. 4. There is no straightforward answer in every layout plan: after plotting each layout plan and mapped againstsaya "pie-chart"; if it is myself; I would eyeball each area to see which qi could/should be or have the strongest influence.

One can read more about time zone concerns; here: http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=2&mid=23906&new= For information: Singapore's Time is exactly similar to China, Beijing's Time.

Ponder over this: MALE, HOUSEMAKER; WIFE = SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS PERSON OR HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL IN HER CAREER If your home has TWO stoves in a similar situation; take extra care! Your partner (spouse) may instead be the one to have HER - LOVER! Hahahaha! Think about it! Flower of Romance, can/may/could be REVERSED!

Further to what I had mentioned; 1. The Chinese "system" of classifying luck into three areas: Heaven Luck (born with); Earth Luck (Feng Shui) and Human or Man Luck factors is in my opinion a far more complete system than say the Western astrology method. 2. In addition; each one of the three classifications do include exception clauses. 3. For example: this thing called Heaven Luck or born with (Ba zi report) 3.1. Two persons born on the same day; same time: someone living say Singapore. While another may live in North Korea. 3.2. The Ba zi has many escape clauses. And one of them is simply one's education. One's surrounding i.e. immediate family; Other factors include: experiences, philantropy and many other factors. 3.3. Thus the ba zi is called a "SNAP-SHOT" of one's Heaven luck subjected to many escape clauses. Some of them as mentioned under Para 3.2 (above). 4. The Five Elements Concept: This is one of the lowest common denominator. And it's very useful purpose is to allow some of the different modules of different categories to "click". 5. What I meant by the above? 6. The lowest common denominator of Ba zi is the Five Elements concept. (This concept is under Heaven Luck). 7. Under Earth Luck: Flying Star Feng Shui's lowest common denominator is also based on the Five Elements concept. 8. Even two different concepts under two different categories can be placed "side-by-side" giving a bigger map or picture of the entire situation. 9. Thus, think carefully; this is just a sample of the Holistic Approach to the Chinese Geomancy system. 10. I am sure that the western astrology would equally share the same "plight" as Para 3.2 above! For example; some people's life has totally changed e.g. by the death of their breadwinner. Both persons born same day and time. One lost his parent(s) early. While another had a fruitful life having the "nuturing and protection" of thier parents. 11. This is why; TODAY, one see's so many people around the world being facinated by everything Chinese. 12. In the past, many Chinese geomancers call their company " So and so Geomancy Company". They don't just call it Feng Shui Pte Ltd etc.. 13. The Chinese Geomancy is said to be from BIRTH TO DEATH! When a Chinese child is/was born; parents go to a geomancer like myself to select a name for their child. And in between we have ba zi; home analysis and even in the past the selection of burial plots; best facing direction of the tomb etc.. 14. For example, this is why, I use the name "GEOMANCY.net". As this properly reflects the spectrum of everything Chinese system. 15. This is the main reason why things like Feng Shui is so popular today! 16. In the past, I remember for everyChinese Geomancy services; there is always an Indian Astrologer.Nowadays..the tide has turned... guesswhich is more popular.

Uncommon to find a pair of elephant figurines at establishments in Singapore. Elephants are revered in both India and Thailand. This Elephant seems oriental as the body of the elephant has the carvings of the five claw dragon.

This pole is found at the Windermere condominium at Choa Chu Kang... There are some gramma errors; but nevermind.. commonsense says that it is so easy to use! No need these instructions:- SAFETY TELESCOPIC RESCUE POLE-EXTENDABLE PLEASE USE ACCORDINGLY AS FOLLOWS:- 1) GRIP HOLD OF ONE END OF POLE WITH THE HOOP AT THE OTHER END 2) EXTEND OUT ALL THE WAY TO "VICTIM"..... Maybe, perhaps; by the time one reads this instruction; the drowning person would literally have died!

1. Under Commonsense Feng Shui and even Symbolism in Feng Shui; any dining table should preferably have even number of legs e.g. 4 legs. 2. It is best to avoid buying any dining table with odd number of legs e.g. 1 or 3 legs. 3. In addition; all dining chairs or stools should be even in number. (Exception of baby chairs).

1. Please note that the Chinese system is based on the "Holy Trinity" of luck: 1.1 What you mentioned below is only part of it called "born with" and is analysed via Ba zi. 1.2 Your home and office (if any) which is analysed via Feng Shui 1.3. Human or man luck factors. 2. Please take note that Chinese Geomancy actually covers more. For example; face reading, palm reading etc... 3. Thus just "blindly" looking at just one's "born with portition" and not looking also at Para 1.2 above is like not doing a proper "Triage" of sorts. 4. For example:again; what you wrote is equivalent of some outdatedtechnology: e.g. taking anx-ray. 5. However, the Chinese system especially under Para 1.1with 1.2 is in a sense equivalent to an MRI scanning.

In my opinion; the think-tank or mastermind leading the entire opposition is this party:- http://www.yoursdp.org Their combined academic qualifications is like Wow ! Wow ! Many of their speeches are as good as academic thesis of the highest degree. No wonder; many of it's members are Doctors! Not the medical kind but in other fields! Many now realise that Dr Chee Soon Juan... may in the future be associated as the person who forever changed the landscape of Singapore Democracy! Thus, MM Lee Kuan Yew; is the founding father of Singapore; BUT Dr Chee would forever be known as the father of TRUE Democracy! Majulah Singapura!

These are some considerations:- 1. Based on this year's Flying Star Chart:- 2011 Flying Star Forecast North 8 3 1 9 7 5 4 2 6 South Take note the following sectors:- Sickness Star this year is at South Misfortune/Sickness Star this year is at East Disputes/Quarrel Star this year is at North Education/Romance Star this year is at South-West Grand Duke this year is East, 90 Degree. - Avoid sitting facing the grand duke or disturbing him by having renovations. Location in Conflict is West. - Avoid having renovations done opposite the location in conflict. 2. Yes, the annual star #3 is at the frontage of your apartment. And #3 = bad wood element. 3. Thus, can understand why; caution: if one wants to activate a water position at the frontage. 3.1. This is because; under the Five elements concept: Water supports or FUEL'swood. Thus may inadvertently inflame it. (Reference: http://talk.geomancy.net - The productive cycle) 3.2.Other considerations include the qi"coming" from the frontage is "contaminated" by the #3. In additionto the double #7's =loss of luck ("theft ofluck-opportunities). 3.3. Thus, if you really, really want to activate a water position; one has to apply all the Five Elements in this water position. Please read this article in detail: http://fountain.geomancy.netunder Para 2 to 2.12 4. So long as there is a "proper balance of the five elements in a water position"; then it is a"continous flow".But water position isnot the "yin water" that you had mentioned. 5. Contrary to the "yin water"; unfortunately; this is the frontage. If not; another concept may be applied or could be: that of closing thewindows of e.g. a certain part of the home. But; please don't take my words here seriously for the "living room" area as it is like the devil and the deep blue sea. If one does not open the windows or any other openings in a living room (without e.g. aircon); this can be very stuffy for the home! 6.Although it is easier said than done; yin water can be in the form of"water element colours" e.g. blue (the most"yang" of thewater element vs black or grey which still belongs to the water element) 7. It is a pity that most likely your #8'smay/could be wasted at the back of the home. For example: mountain star at the back of the home. And the water wealth star is at the SW of the home. For somenewer apartments; this mayor could be the "missing corner" of the home. 8. For some homes thatis cluttered; make sure that the South and SW is kept "clean" and tidy. And if there aredustbins; make suretry not toplace it at these sectors. 9.If there arewindows at the South(if this is a hdb; most likely the kitchen area) ; and ifthere are windows around this area; make this place airy. 10. If the main entrance door is at the "South side"; if at home; could consider leaving it say partially opened (and secure one's grille gate). The technique is about allowing good qi to flow into the home. Other areas one may or could explore include: 11. Matching the flying star chart to all sectors and try to do correction(s) or enhancements if any. If you are DIY; then you have to really "work hard or find out more". 12. If there is a wall at the back or next to the door; one may activate a mountain star (solid object with mass). Not sure what is at the SW - this is the "water wealth sector" from now to 2023. The above are some of the considerations; there can be more...
