I know it is there, but perhaps, not enough to discuss further on them. 6. Thus frankly, if you need more answers to your Indian system, then you may have to search elsewhere. As the key ingredient of the Chinese system is based on the Five Elements concept. While your system has some elements similar, but some are not directly in our vocab. Thus difficult to link the two. 6.1. For example,I cannot simply link two different systems one from the "West" (India) and one from the "East" (China). Maybe, Buddhism is different as it was brought from the West (India) to the East (China). But along some line, we (India and China) had evolved somewhat differently. Further to what I had mentioned:- 1. Today, it is still in practise that as a guideline, and on an individual basis, some consider their favourable colours and apply it to e.g. the colour of their vehicle (car). Thus, if one's so called "lucky" or favourable colour is water then some might choose a blue, black or grey car. 2. It is still common for some to want to TRY to wear their favourable colours whenever they can. 3. Frankly, in addition to what you had mentioned, Shapes and Forms Feng Shui need to be looked at; as it is difficult to comprehend just from written text. Even simple thing like how large is the balcony; affected by direct afternoon sun etc... For example, if the water feature is constantly or daily affected by direct (west sun) then there is high evaporation rate. Here, if the balcony does not have a water tap; in no time: the person may become the hunchback of Notre Dame. Else, with high evaporation, some don't have the perserverance to main the water feature as a result water no longer flows - all dried up. In addition, the moisture can flow into that room with the balcony. And such a water feature has dirty water (moisture) that can flow into the room and also increase it's humidity. Furthermore, high sun light may mean algae growth in the "contaminated water feature". If you have a water feature in the garden at SW is fine or OK. As often there is space separating you from this water feature. And sometimes, some may find the water feature too noisy especially if the balcony is beside a (master) bedroom. Often, a parallel, can be drawn to someone wanting to place a fish tank for the sake of Feng Shui. But this is different if one is a fish lover. The later maintains a fish tank willingly.
