1. Please refer to my most recent comments under this topic: Identify Period Of House Posted in: Earth Luck :: Flying Star (Xuan Kong) House Posted on: Sun, 02 Nov 2008, 21:46 PM, 2. The above message highlights two major Arguments and my comment is that if necessary, one may need to consider drawing several Flying Star charts for such a home. Frankly, this is the most sensible approach which is adopted by many competent practitioners.

Can understand, in the past, in a communist country; one has to either ask permission to move or get shot for escaping the Berlin wall! Feng Shui or Ba zi is never about such restrictions or taboo of such sorts.

Dear Jaishree, There are a few considerations to note: 1. One theory you can apply is the Eight House Theory. Here, check what intangible force is located in the West room with respects to your children who will be occupying the room. 2. Under the Eight House, Where possible it is good for them to spent time at an of the 4 auspicious sector e.g. Health, Longevity etc.. 3. Priority should be given to Para 2. Another point is that they can sit facing one of their good directions. 4. Before considering Para 3, it is best to position the study table against a wall for `support'. Check out the resources on www.geomancy.net for the Shapes and Form School techniques and read up …

Dear Elena, 1. It is not necessary to turn on the lamp 24 hours a day. This is most uneconomical. 2. The best alternative is to use red or purple to represent the fire element. 3. I do not recall, using the red thread on its own. A red thread is used to control the cure of using 6 coins. Where the red thread is used to control the big metal. (Not let it out of control). 4. Quite effective is to use objects that are red. For example a table lamp with a red shade. (Purple is acceptable but red is the best). "Imaginative" but effective cures include disply Coca Cola cans etc.. The size should effective be the size of at least 4 coca cola cans or a reasonable sized (regular)…

Dear Ang Chye, Upon reviewing your message, I would like to inquire about your reasons for wanting to hang a Wind Chime. Is it solely due to the presence of star 5 in the year 2000? Or is it because the imbalance of Star 5 in that particular sector necessitates the use of a Wind Chime as a remedy? Personally, there are more effective cures available than using a Wind Chime, which can often come with complications such as varying element types of rods, different rod numbers, and hollow or solid rods. Additionally, incorrect placement of a Wind Chime may lead to more issues rather than resolving the existing problem. It is advisable to only apply a cure if you are certain…

Dear Anon, 1. For any new house purchase, it is always good to bring all family members to view the site to get an overall feeling of the place. 2. Under Flying star Feng Shui, currently NE facing homes have a better Feng Shui advantage as it is generally considered a better facing direction than some other facing directions. 3. For the Eight House theory, it is always favourable if the apartment fits the breadwinner. It is quite common both either spouse to be "opposites" east or west group. Although this is a consideration, other factors such as the Shapes and Forms and the Compass School - Flying star should also be considered. 4. As to whether to commit to purchas…

Dear A J, Generally, IF the home is a Period 8 home, majority of SE facing homes have favourable Flying Star especially water star 8 at this sector. This is one consideration. Under the Eight House, it is best also to check the eight house influence in the master bedroom. Hopefully it is not you or your partner's disaster or death side. Alternatively, in Feng Shui, there is a possibility of tilting the main door towards a good facing direction. This is said to be "killing two birds" with one stone i.e. no longer face inauspicious direction and changed to a good favourable main door direction. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Chee Guan, LIM CHEE GUAN DAVIDE wrote: we have seena house south east facing.my kua is 8 as my wife kua is 1. As facing SE is her sheng chi position but is my jue ming position. Should we proceed This depends on who is the breadwinner. If you are the breadwinner (which is usually the head or male of the house), then this isn't an ideal house for you. The house must first suit the breadwinner so that he can get the luck from the house. The spouse can then get a more suitable bedroom so that she can get the better luck from the bedroom. As mentioned, if you are the breadwinner, then this may not be the most advisable house at least from the suitability perspective.…

Dear Anon, The main purpose of checking whether the two bedroom doors faces each other is based on one of the principles of Shapes and Form School where if there are two doors especially two bedroom doors that face each other, most likely there is a tendency for `rilvary'. As you have confirmed that it is rather a "triangle effect," there is less of this possibility. As the triangle effect is less known situation. Frankly, I do not want to be disappointed but there is no known direct relationship between Feng Shui and sibling rilvary. The closest to it is the Chinese Astrology signs e.g. http://www.lovesigns.net that looks at each person's characteristics based on their …

1. In my opinion, it is best to get expert help. 2. In your country, especially if can check around and perhaps; have people can recommend a geomancer to visit your home to review the feng shui is the best option. 3. Alternatively, you can consider off-site Feng Shui services. 4. Generally, what you had mentioned is pretty common and many professional Feng Shui geomacers should be able to address your concerns. How can i improve this home ? Thisis a bit of ashoebox house, apparentlyfirst built in 1951. Frommy simple study of Feng Shui it would seem this house is attrocious in many aspects of layout , but it is very very cheap rent , rent prices in sydney are over the moon at this time , andlast time i looked i wasnta millionaire The room which is large enough to be a bedroom is in the north west corner , the front and back doors are in a straight line , so i put potted plants and small statueshalfway through the hallway to gather some Qi, i dont use the front door much , except on sunny afternoons, i currently have my office desk positioned with my back to the door …

I read in your forum that the6 coins (s'pore coins) scotched tape them on a red paper. As red is to control the metal element. Yes, thanks for your concern. I'll monitor the situation. For this message, I will discuss on the Magnolia and the Peach as these two are more significant than the remaining flowers. I have touched on Peony in detail in one of the recent messages. If you have not read it, you can always use this forum's SEARCH feature and type in e.g. Peony to find out the specific reply on it. 1. The Peach or "Tao" This is one of the most important tree or fruit in Chinese culture. The Peach signifies Longeivty. In a famous Ming novel called : Journey to the West, the monkey SUN broke into the palace garden of the Kun Lun Mountains where this tree stood. He ate most of the peach fruit. In recent practises, some Chinese place the peach outside…

Dear Joe, The main consideration is that the bamboo plant should not be allowed to grow too `large' or too tall. If you are planting the bamboo plant e.g. at your garden, `proper maintenance' is required as in time, they will expand and lots of effort are required to main the plant. My suggestion is to plant the bamboo plant in a pot. Here, the bamboo plant will be contained. Bamboo plant is symbolic of:- 1. Many Chinese poems are written on sheets of paper with drawings of bamboo paintings. 2. As the bamboo tube is used to house fire crackers or fire works, it is symbollic of good luck as fire crackers dispel evil or scare them away. 3. The leave of the bamboo bends down…

1. In general, bi jian or "friend" relates to person to person relationship. 2. Person to person relationship can be between: husband & wife / son to father / a person to another person. 3. For the Chinese, generally, are more cautious (due to upbringing) and many Chinese don't open up immediately especially to strangers. 4. The higher score generally is akin to like being more easier to make friends. 5. Usually the norm for any of the ten dieties is generally 0 to 2. Anything above this is higher. 6. The rationale for 0 to 2 is that under the Ten Deiities; contrary to popular belief; a person say with all Ten deities at 0 or 1 is considered a well rounded or has a…

Dear Chee Siong, 1. In my opinion, it is best in your case to get a Feng Shui audit done to check thoroughly on the house. 2. Flying Star Feng Shui is a powerful tool that can help locate sectors that may be too yin. 3. The Chinese Luopan is a good detector. 4. Under Shapes and Form Feng Shui, sectors of concern are usually NE and SW. In particular especially if the main entrance is either at the NE or SW sectors. Certain missing sectors need to be further looked at. 5. After visiting a location and falling sick is a coincidence that this needs to be looked at closely/investigated. 6. Normally, if there are any activities (if any) human activity would create a Yang force …

Hi, I guess there would be an effect from these features especially in the construction of the `bulding' and the elements that go into them e.g. metal wheel etc... 1. Most of the time, these objects are far away from city areas or homes. 2. So far, I cannot recall any books on such features in Chinese books or no reference on them. For now, I am unable to comment on this subject matter. Perhaps, if I do come across any or users who are Dutch may like to share their experiences. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Chloe, Yes, it is best to avoid placing a bagua mirror facing inside the house. In my opinion, you could place two potted plants on both sides of the main door entrance. But if the plants does block the walkway, then do not place the plants. I feel that a crystal ball would not help the situation. Overall, for now I am too sure how the two doors `interact'. But, since they do not create any poison arrows or sha qi, perhaps, you need not place any objects at these sectors. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, For a weak metal person, the best element to increase a weak metal is the earth element. Under the productive cycle, earth is better at increasing a weak metal as compared to `adding metal to metal'. Since, Earth element is generally constantly strong throughout the year, and that too much earth may trigger bad element elements like `sickness' or `misfortune', best to confine to to occassional wearing of e.g. clothes e.g. yellow. In your case, you can wear good or silver chain. But a pink quartz has qualities of the `fire element' - pink. Such a necklace may instead control metal and may not be beneficial. Warmest Regards, Cecil
