Hello Cecil Lee, Thanks so much for providing such a concise and clear set of general feng shui information. I also appreciate that you use diagrams and pictures often. I am curious to know, if you have two windows next to each other (operable or not; I just labeled them in case it would reduce ambiguity), does the shared frame border highlighted in red below create a source of sha qi? Thanks!

Hi master, would like to get ur advice. Understand that it is best not to get toilet being in the middle of unit, but many of the 3 room units I m viewing has this issue in SG. Based on what I read, keep toilet clean, having a plot of plant, keeping the toilet bowl lid closed, will u think it is still acceptable? included the floor plan, level units plan arrangement (diagonal to lift, any issues?), as well as surrounding buildings (don’t see any poison arrow if I m right?). Direction for main door is N314-349 as seems to give different reading at different position. Living room window is 170 south. Staying myself female owner. Thank you!

Dear Master We'll be moving to a new flat soon, and would like to consult you on a good altar position for our Guanyin which we'll be moving over from current house. Pls see our unit layout as attached. There are 3 potential positions we're looking at: A: right next to main door, with adjacent DB (databox) which cannot be relocated. Width is only 48cm between main door and DB. B: with bomb shelter as backing, outside kitchen. ? immediate position adjacent to main door when it's fully opened All positions do not get the sun. Other questions: 1. Is it not advisable to have the shoe cabinet next or under the altar? Really tight on space to entertain this thou…

Hello, I would like to ask you, what would you say is the perfect bed placement in this bedroom? I was thinking against the window, as in the photo but wasn't sure. The problem is the en-suite bathroom and the position of the doors. That's why I was thinking window, but this also isn't recommended.. Thank you for your help.

Dear Mr. Cecil Lee, Recently, I have been researching on Feng Shui tips to set the fundamentals for my renovation design of my new property in Johor. However, there are some contradictions I faced, and I would hope you could offer your professional opinions. 1) Celestial Animals (Phoenix in front of house; Black Turtle at the back; Green Dragon on the left, and White Tiger on the Right) In particular, Green Dragon vs. White Tiger: I read that it is best to keep (Green Dragon) left side more active than the right, and the main gate is best to be located on the right side. However, for semi detached, the design is usually mirror image, and my unit happen…

1. Please see this illustration. 2. This partition is long and covers the entire main entrance door. 3. In addition, it is full height up to the entire ceiling of the house. 3.1. As mentioned in some of the earlier threads; full height and especially now that it is "air-tight" means that light from the living room cannot filter to the main door. Thus generally, making the foyer area dim. 3.2. Another thing I would like to highlight with this "air-tight" partition is that often for safety reasons; those sitting at the sofa area will not see who is coming in or if a family member is at the main door talking to a person or stranger. 3.3. Personally, I would still prefe…

1. Feng Shui and HDB Keat Hong Mirage and Flying Stars of 5 bedroom type:- 2. N1 facing stacks = 59, 61, 71, 73, 89, 91, 105, 10, 121, 123, 138 & 140 with S1 facing stacks = 55, 57 134, 136. N1 has the auspicious double 8s at it's frontage. Good if the frontage has a water position. 2.1 Good if the master bedroom is located at NE sector. As it has good auspicious star combinations of MS#6 + WS#1. 2.2 If a bedroom is located at East is good for a bedroom cum study. 2.3 The rest of other sectors has inauspicious stars. And may need to be disarmed. 2.4 S1 The combined auspicious wealth stars MS#8 + WS#8 are at the "rear" of the unit. Such …

Dear Tammy, 1. For the benefit of other forum members, I have attached the illustration of two trapezoids. This file name is: trapeziod-goodbad.gif 2. One trapeziod is acceptable while the other is inauspicious. 3. This is based on Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. 4. More importantly, if one looks carefully at the first trapezoid with blue wordings, or the acceptable shape; One will find that the based is broader than the frontage. This is symbolic of a mountain effect. Even if a trapezoid shape is not the best configuration. 5. For the second trapezoid, the is the mirror image of the first. And it is considered inauspicious if the front is broad base while the back (mountain)…

Hi Master, Many a time, master bedrooms contain toilets. However, such toilets do produce Sha qi and when directed at your bed, can create health problems. As such, many people try to position their beds to avoid such Sha qi. I wanted to ask what is the ideal position to put my bed. I have 2 options: - Option 1: bed in command position, supported by a wall, feet away from the bedroom door but toilet door faces the body when sleeping - Option 2: bed not in command position, no support as behind the bed is a window, feet faces a wall, bed not facing the toilet door and bedroom door at all so no sha qi Which is the better position?

Hello Mr. Lee. We live in the house that stands on the hill and has a main entrance on the west, even though the front of the house (visibility and most of the windows) are on the south. When we bought this house, we had a consultation from a Feng Shui practitioner. At that time, we didn’t know much about Feng Shui, now I am assuming that she was from Compass School of Feng Shui. She told us the house had a good energy and that the placement was not bad. The problem was the east side (dragon) because the house is on a mountain and there is a steep slope right next to it that goes down. At the back (North) the mountain continuous raising up, so…

Hi Master Cecil I have a difficult situation where the bed in the master bedroom is currently pointing east. My spouse and I are both West Group people so sleeping in this position is pointing to the Irritation/Disaster line according to 8 Mansions. However by rotating the bed by 180 degrees, our heads will be pointing the west (Health/Longevity line) but the bed would be cut by the toilet door and will be on the same side as the bedroom entrance door (not in "Command" position). Will putting a partition to shield the appearance of the toilet door help? However as the room is very small, I am not sure about its practicality . Sho…

Hi Master Cecil, Happy New Year! Can you advise the approach one should take when the life kua favorable directions conflicts with the house kua? For example, bedroom in the east for a person with West Group Life Kua is unfavorable according to 8 mansions but because the house is facing N2, the house kua shows that east is suitable for bedroom (sheng qi). But the flying stars for Period 8 in a N2 facing house has 5 & 2 in the east, which are bad numbers for health. Also does it make a difference on the orientation of the headboard of the bed? The head is facing east and feet are facing west, or vice versa? Thank you for your advice!

Hi Master Lee, Recently, I am looking at an resale apartment but its abt 100m near to the petrol station. Will there be any concern in terms of fengshui or health? Thanks, Winnie

1. In theory, or in general, the plot of land you described is considered inauspicious because it is wider at the front and narrower at the back. Based on Shapes and Forms principles, this is already seen as an unfavorable sign. 2. Remedies for this are mostly about applying other Feng Shui concepts to maximize good luck, such as enhancing areas with positive qi and minimizing areas with negative qi. 3. Since this shape is seen as a "major wealth leak" in Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, owners should be careful not to introduce more sources of wealth loss, as this can lead to ongoing financial decline. 4. If you are unsure, it is best to review other lots first…

Hi Master, I have viewed an unit and like the feel of the place. However, I was told that since the frontage/ main door is not perpendicular to the general direction of the house, this unit is not advisable (shape of unit is slightly odd, not too squarish, hence door seems slanted). I would like to seek your opinion on this matter. This is on Stack 3. The 2 balconies are generally North- South facing. Door is mainly West (but slightly tilted North).

Hi Master Cecil, my partner and I are actively looking for resale flats in Sengkang. We have been looking around and realized that most of the units near the MRT station have odd shape rooms. One example that I am looking at is this unit. The corner of the common bedrooms are pointed, the main door is facing the northwest direction. Is this bad in terms of fengshui? Should I still be looking at houses shaped like this? Looking forward to your advice, thank you very much!

Iam very distressed by my new neighbour. Staying in HDB and being Indians, they like to dry their clothing in the common walkway. Their cloth hanger, that is the bamboo pole to hang their clothing is pointing directly towards my door. I put plants and crystals to deflect the poles which is considered poison arrows. I just hate it and I have strong desire to move out. Pls help and advise how to harmonise.
