Hi, Please read below:- For example of the material of the wind chime is metal, and there is 5 rods, this means that the wind chime is a earth-metal wind chime. Generally, 2,3,4,5 are associated very closely with the inauspicious stars, and if you hang this in location which has a star 2,3,4,5 you are likely to trigger the influence of these stars thus causing bad influences. It is not so much that solid wind chime or even that say star 5 wind chime is not useful. You have to be careful as to where you are putting it. If place correctly, the element influence which you are looking for will remove the inauspicious influence based on the element composition of the …

Dear Linda, 1. When using a compass, one has to be exact and plot the exact compass direction into one of the 15 degrees of the Flying Star chart. 2. Often, we may have to take readings out-side of the home to avoid any metallic disturbance e.g. high tensile steel embedded in the concrete structure of the home. 3. Sorry, I don't quite understand your question. "the Compass shows as SE but only over 10 degrees to SE do you consider it as SE or South " 4. As mentioned under Para 1 and 2, above, for SE facing homes: SE1 = 112.5 degrees to 127.4 degrees (120 degrees) SE2 = 127.5 degrees to 142.4 degrees (135 degrees) SE3 = 142.5 degrees to 157.4 degrees (150 degrees…

Hi:-) My brother, his fiancee and I will be moving into a new HDB apartment soon. Our unit is a corridor unit and it faces east. However, my bedroom door faces the main door and the windows in my bedroom faces in main door also. The bedroom is virtually quite empty with only a bed and two cupboards. I should also point out that as you look out of my room window, it is West and there are hills in that direction also. I understand that it isn't good to have the main door facing the bedroom door, but that cannot be helped. There is no way to do a renovation as we are renting the place and it is quite difficult to put a piece of furniture between the main door and the bedroom…

Dear Emily, Actually, it has more to do with "visual" sight or appearance than Feng Shui. For example, we can draw a parallel to the dining table. In Feng Shui, it is often mentioned by practitioners (including myself) avoid placing the dinning table facing the main door. The rationale is that while some of us are very tidy, but for practical reasons, for a family, we have the father, mother and children; often, the family members come back at different times. And for practical reasons, often, food is left on the table for the last person to eat. And if one often sees a dining table, it is usually (for many people) to have articles / food etc.. placed on it. What is …

1. Again, there is no right or wrong answers. 2. In my opinion, looking at your specific description of a CONSULTANT in so many fields: mgmt, marketing, websites, social media; 3. I tend to strongly FEEL that your role as a consultant in this scheme of things is more closely related to the WOOD element. 4. Since you mentioned FIRE, I only see one job function associated with it: marketing. 5. Thus, based on your short description; I would say your CORE element has to be WOOD element. Dear Gwen, 1. Currently, the main concern is to allow Qi to meander gently into the house. So clear or transparent is acceptable. 2. One characteristic of Qi flowing directly from the front door to the back is a broken marriage, which in many cases, lead to divorce. I have personally seen a few cases, of such characteristics for some homes. 3. Taping plastic wrap as you mentioned is only a temporary solution. It would be best to cover it e.g. a decorative plywood laminate as an example. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Joe, Please read below:- ----- Original Message ----- From: Listmanager To: Sent: Tuesday, August 17, 1999 8:28 AM Subject: west house Eight House is limited as it only takes the year of your birth, this means that many people will have the same type of kua as you. Thus, it is only able to give you a general reading of your 4 good and 4 bad directions. It does not take into account the stars in your home. Say for example, if the stars in your bedroom could have formed a good combination which overrules your Eight House. So far its uses is only generally to find a suitable home. This means it is best to find a home with the main door that falls in any of the 4 …

In my opinion, this is very minor or non-issue. Perhaps, some people may have the following "concerns":- 1. Symbolism Kitchen is where there are knifes, sharp objects and fire element. And maybe your friend feels uncomfortable with placing the family photos, because of these reasons. 2. Perhaps some feel that say using a magnet is not "permanent" and thus may affect "permanent" relationships. 3. Otherwise, if you check out this forum, this question has never surfaced in the last more than 10 or more years of this forum! 4. It is akin to some ridiculous people who say that one should not place shoes or shoe cabinet outside the main entrance area! In my country, rich …

A Pair of Keiloon or Fu Temple Dogs Hi, Thank you, Glyn, for sending me a private email to inform me that the Keiloon resembles a Fu Fu Dog. Earlier this morning, prior to heading to work, I passed by the memorial dedicated to Lim Bo Seng, a renowned World War II hero from Singapore. The memorial featured the Keiloon positioned in various `compass' directions, serving as guardians. I have observed a similar Keiloon at my grandfather's grave, where it stands guard on both sides. The Keiloon figurine is not associated with Feng Shui but is more aligned with Chinese customs. In my view, it would be more appropriate for this `creature' to …

Dear Jody, Ideally your roof should first be proportionate (both front and back) rather then slope one side. Especially if there is `water' closeby in Front, this is symbolic of water (wealth) flowing away from your house into the water. ^ / \ The symbol of a `normal' roof, if you look at the side profile looks lik an UP arrow | | which signifies moving upwards in career, wealth etc... Frankly, nothing much can be done to enhance a flat room. Although some have added a covered chimney in the shape of a roof with a `roof ' to represent the " UP arrow " as shown above. With the front door in a straight line with the backdoor, the best solution is to place a decorative…

Dear Jez, Please read below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed> Date: Thursday, February 25, 1999 5:39 AM Subject: Double 7 on the North Is this a period 7 house? If it is, it is an excellent sector. If it falls under the main door it will bring prosperity for the entire house. In the bedroom, does that direction has a windows? If it does, you can put a fan near the window, to blow in the wind, activating the prosperity for the room. Otherwise, the other method is to user a fountain. But as it is the bedroom it is not advisable:) Hope that helps you:) Warmest Regards Robert Lee

I also have stairs facing the front door and have tried a remedy. I put an end table at the bottom of the stairs, against the wall.It has a colorful arrangement of silk flowers on it. Opposite this wall is a face level mirror which holds a smaller arrangement of flowers. I think it is working because people who come in have not even noticed the stairs when I've mentioned them shortly thereafter. Does this sound sufficient, Cecil? Thx.

Dear Anon, In my opinion, the key success factors are: 1. Location, Location and Location The three L's are the most important consideration. For most of forum members - this refers to Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. 2. Next; are the critical and nice to have: 2.1 Flying Star Feng Shui - It would be nice to have - double (something) at the main entrance. For example under current Flying Star period of 1984 to 2003; it is nice to have doube 7's at the main entrance. 2.2 Where possible, under the Eight House, best not to have death or disaster sectors at the main entrance. It can still be. But often, this is already like a broken arm even before one moves into the home. 2.3 Ba …

Dear Samantha, Congratulations! What you had mentioned is not Feng Shui but Chinese `belief' that when one is pregnant, one must not move the furniture especially your bed. To ward off bad influence, usually, the case is for an expecting mum not to be present during the move or to `see' the move. Put it another way, you should not be involved (in anyway) on the day of the move i.e stay at your parents or other family members home during the shift. Investing money in real estate is very profitable. The value of an apartment is determined by the net operating income of the property. So, as rents continue to grow along with other consumer prices, the value of a multifamily investment should go forward to appreciate even during an economic downturn. quick house sale Sell House Quick

Dear Anon, 1. Ideally, based on Shapes and Form Feng Shui, the kitchen, door where possible should not be next to the main door. 2. In the above situation, try to have the stove face in the house `to keep the warm' in. Yes, it is not bad an idea to hang a curtain cloth here. As Qi can still move in and out but slowed down. Where possible close the toilet door when not in use. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Julie, It is not auspicious to move the main entrance door to the Kitchen area as this is another Feng Shui `taboo'. In Traditional Feng Shui practise, your main entrance door should not open to a kitchen, In addition to this, it is your disaster line. I have offered a few suggestions othe than to keep the place bright and close the door. You may like to review this url: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/bbs-oneall.htm These are some other alternatives offered in the above link:- 1. Mild forms that will not affect a close-by neighbour includes:- a. tilting the front door from an inauspicious to an auspicious direction. b. using a specially made semi-circle carpet outside th…

1. For a landed property, the best location is the covered porch leading to the main door. 2. For apartments, if the corridor is a common corridor, then, you may consider hanging inside near the main door. Quote: Angelia T. wrote: About the 6 hollow metal rod chime; should I hang it at the frontage of the main door, facing the corridor or can I hang it inside the house near the main door?
