  1. 1. Like the recent "AWARE" saga in Singapore, where a "new" team were successful in wrestling over the control of the organisation; the new committee was met with a no confidence vote and subsequently - voted out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHKZdFwcjDo&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Ebmw%2Dsg%2Ecom%2Fforums%2Flounge%2F31852%2Dfollow%2Dawares%2Degm%2Dlive%2Ehtml%23post434749&feature=player_embedded 2. The saying goes " one man's meat is another man's poison!". 3. Human nature is also at play! Usually, things like having a tv set in a bed. We could be "happily" sleeping with a tv set all our lifes. Then suddenly, you pick up a book on Feng Shui and it says AVOID having a tv set in the bedroom. 4. In addition, a relative or friend comes into your home and tells you that it is considered inauspicious to have a tv set in your room. 5. Suddenly, perhaps, your face changed and you feel very uncomfortable with it. 6. In general, placing the coins - often wrapped up in a red coloured paper and placed in an urn is a common practise by many. To be exact with a head and tail of a coin so precisely placed .. is not a common thing. 7. I can understand if after sometime tells you or cautions you on their concern.. then let's look at it this way.. just don't place the coins if ever is in doubt. 8. Anyway, these coins are non-magical, and as mentioned above, such as the recent Singapore AWARE organisation saga; there are so many view-points. And it is just an urn. And there is frankly, no RIGHT or WRONG answers, here. 9. Since after hearing it you may feel uncomfortable than go for what I mentioned under Para 7. (full stop).
  2. 1. Many of us have varying view-points even on the same subject:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=29&mid=25105&new= 2. In addition, an elder e.g. a parent or grand parent had always had a red packet with several coins placed in an urn all the time. And with precedence, when one change an urn, by habbit, they continue to place the coins into the new urn. 3. However, for those who do not have a precedence of placing the coins and got bad "reviews" that it is no good, then, no harm - just leave it alone...

  5. Oh dear me! so many clocks facing my home! Is Osama rumoured dead? If not, ask him to help demolish the building for me! PLEASE HELP!!!
  6. This Executive Condo will be TOP soon...
  7. 1. Please tell me about this new condo: specifically which block and stacks are good. 2. What you mentioned is not enough! I want to know what cure it is for the stack. 3. Can you also comment on the layout plan.... The landscape, the site, the block, the stack, the layout plan....
  8. Yes, I really do have buddha ears! Check me out!
  9. Appreciate if you can elaborate as cannot comprehen what you say, here. Anonymous wrote: I've tried out the system generate of the above for my family. How am i use to block or furnish the good / bad direction.
  10. 1. Placement of a fish tank can be both (1)scientific &/or (2) based on Yin and Yang concepts; &/or (3) Shapes and Forms and lastly by personal feel or even trial and error Feng Shui. 2. Recently, someone also asked whether their placement is correct. Thus if it purely on a SCIENTIFIC way, then I have mentioned that one has to apply things like Flying Star Feng Shui. Check whether the water star #8 or alternatively the water star #1 is in the "right place". Right place is an appropriate location especially in the living room. 3. Even if the water star e.g. WS#8 is located in a bedroom, many would feed awkward having a fish tank with fishes looking at you when you sleep. 4. Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. Often it is "loony" to place a fish tank or water postion in a kitchen or toilet or yard area. 5. Yin and Yang concepts. Here, a bedroom is meant more for sleep - and especially some fish tanks have noisy pumps etc.. so ... many would feel uncomfortable especially married couples who need privacy without having the fishes looking at "you". And many bedrooms are already small or very limited spaces. 6. Most probably you are still a bachelor, then, perhaps, if you can live with a fish tank in your bedroom, this is still possible. Anonymous wrote: Also, when i open the main door of my house and look down to the main road, there is actually a big drain just in front of my HDB building, is there any problem too? 7. Frankly, it is difficult to comment on just a few lines of words. As the height of your home, whether the drain is directly cutting or parallel or even moving from left to right or right to left of your main door. Frankly, as far as I can say for now - anybody's guess.
  11. 1. As you had mentioned, there is a constraint in that you also have to accomodate your child's bed in your bedroom. 2. Usually, whenever possible, avoid having the legs face the bedroom door ("coffin" position). This is "nice-to-do" and not a "must-do" kind of a thing. As we understand that even for a child, they may roll over. If the bed is a baby cot, then some of these cots have an "organiser" screen or something like that "cover" the area where even if the legs happen to face the door, there is a "screen" outside the cot. However, this screen should not "choke" or cause to choke a child especially avoiding those non-porous type of screen. 3. Sometimes a higher linen cabinet that "covers" up to the child's leg height between the cot and the master bedroom door. Alternatively at night see if the bedroom can may be closed.
  12. Please note that food comes directly from the earth? Correct? Practically all the food be it vegetables, animals with four legs, ampibians with two legs etc.. and anything from the earth and even from the sea ... comes from the earth. However, arestaurant is a PLACE that "collects" these ingredients and creates dishes (from scratch).
  13. 1. There are two sides of the coin, here. 2. In traditional symbolism interpretation, some of the older generation FS practitioners have written that if one keeps a (lone) horse figurine; it should be facing the main door. Here, under symbolism, it is said that this would imply that the breadwinner would have opportunities for travelling be it for business or pleasure. 3. Thus, if we use the above argument, then, check which direction the horse is galloping and see if the painting can face towards the door and "imagine that it goes out of the home". Some take this as getting the horses be it 5 or 100 - to gain "opportunities". As these horses are either wild or no one is on the saddle. 4. The above is the most common interpretation mainly by Geomancers on the way the horses should face. As firstly, the horses often are "wild" ones and as many are aware you cannot just jump onto a wild horse and ride on it. Thus, a business man often may want to have a horse painting (be it 5 or 8 or 9 or more) galloping out of their office room door to gain "opportunites" or the hope for more business networking luck etc.. 5. Some people (often not Geomancers nor Geomancer's input) felt that they want the horses to face inwards, as they felt that it is good to have horses running into "their home or office". If one does not have knowledge of the common practise as found under Para 2, 3 and 4, and if one feels good about it, then just go ahead doing so. As even a simple painting can either make one feel good or to a certain extent, a motivational tool. For many, it is just a painting. It depends on how one sees it. 6. Thus, there is no right or wrong answers, here. Sometimes it also has to do with one's upbringing or culture.
  14. From a Chinese perspective, there are "two concerns" here:- 1. This is more relevant. Three openings especially if they are totally in-line often means wealth coming in and exiting directly. Thus, it is said that money comes and goes out immediately. It is thus good that qi should not be in a direct path especially "leaking" from one side to the other or vice versa. 2. The Chinese belief that "spirits" especially bad spirits can only go in a straight line. Thus, in many instances, you will notice that Chinese platform bridges are always "turning" 90 degrees until it reaches the final span. And equally, landscaping in a garden leading towards a door is often in an "S' curve. 3. For most of us, we are more concern with Para 1.
  15. Are you referring to the corner of the bookcase - at an angle (poison arrow) aimed at your bed? Usually, the corner of a bookshelf is made of wood; and the approximate poison arrow is around 2 feet distance. While a full concrete wall would exert a poison arrow of 1 metre distance. Often just move the bookshelf further away if possible.
  16. 1. Please note that there are so many concepts in accessing the suitability of a home as well as how to optimise the Feng Shui of a home or apartment. 2. You are asking about the concept of the Eight House and that your house is considered unsuitable for you. 3.My best advise is:- Key Success Factors in D.I.Y. Feng Shui *The Concept of Maximizing Marks * The Concept of Feng Shui by Exception * The Customer Engineer Concept * The Three-Step-Approach * Trial & Error Vs Flying Star 4. It is best for you to understand what the Eight house concept is about and review The Three-step-approach (as mentioned above). The concept that you had "regurgitated out" has it's limitations. 5. Next, you already bought your home, stayed there already? Yes / No? If so, other than getting the earthquake to shift the main door to your correct direction or change a home if all these does not sound practical, then, check out again the above: The Concept of Maximizing Marks.
  17. 1. The professional approach is to apply Flying star Feng Shui. And the most advantages is to see especially where the water star #8 is; and if it can be activated. 2. For example, if the water star is at the living room area and a "suitable" place can be allocated for the fish tank then this is the most ideal location. In addition, in general, locations that a fish tank can be placed are locations that have water star #1 or even locations where there are bad earth e.g. if the living room location has #5 and/or #2 and /or #9. 3. Please note that Gua numbers are secondary to the above. Even if one's gua is not suited to having a water position in a home, but if say a location has been detected especially under Para 1, thenFlying Star Feng Shui superseeds the notion of using one's Gua to fit with the placement or non-placement of a water feature. 4. More resources on a water feature can be found, here:- http://fountain.geomancy.net
  18. 1. Thanks for the map. However, when I zoom in largest it shows only a straight road Morningstar Trail. And smaller zooms show a smaller road crossing or cutting this trail or something like that. 2. The first picture shows a distant set of don't know how many homes "merged" together. Frankly, all too confusing. I can't make out anything at all, please!
