  1. Don't tell me that this painting is also considered inauspicious? WHY? I thought Chinese love fish(es): which symbolises Every year got fish!
  2. If not sure whether a dustbin can affect your wealth; always use a "covered" dustbin. Or those "designer" type that looks nice.
  3. 1. Please see attachment. 2. As the layout plan can distinctively be split roughly 50:50; 3. Thus, the center of gravity and/or centerpoint should still be along the RED line. (OR close to it) or should not differ too much from that zone. The only thing is that it depends on how much of the balcony area one takes into consideration: to add or not to add it to say the "cut-out".
  4. Further to what I had mentioned, based on the Holy Trinity of Luck:- 1. In fact, many are not born with a silver spoon. (via ba zi or Heaven Luck). 2. The thought of having not so good Feng Shui (earth luck) sometimes; this area combined with Para 1; can lead to auto-suggestion, self-fullfilling prophecy. As well as make us feel not so good. 3. Thus, another very important "tool" is Human or Man luck. For example, some people, don't have good heaven luck nor good Feng Shui luck; but they are very contented with having a good family relationship, bonding etc.. 4. Human or man luck should never be discounted; thus so long as both of you "feel good" or nice feeling; then it beats whether the center point or center of gravity is as written, in this book or that forum. 5. Unfortnately, some shower their homes with useless products in the name of Feng Shui. But, hey! Again, if one feels good about spending money on some useless products; well go ahead! It is all about Human or man luck. (Plus, those sellers equally share the happiness with people. People become happy or feel happy perhaps with less money; while the sellers feel happy because they made huge profits 6. Morale of the story is: "in fact, sometimes; it is even better to be ignorant about such things than to bang one's head or try to find some other explanation: to side-track the issue". Again, the result is based on "Garbage-in Garbage-out" G.I.G.O. sort of thing. 7. In addition; the importance of "You stay, there or going to stay there" vs us geomancers who if present, sometimes spent only 1 or 2 hours or slightly more at a home. And it is ridiculous to ask you guys not to use toilet A and/or toilet B! Those who provide such fantastic advice, should either plug their waste system with bottle corks or use cable tie. As mentioned; even Eunuchs need to go to the toilet. 8. Frankly, the curse of the internet is: Info overload; fast food feng shui and the saying a little knowledge is a dangerous kinda of thingy!
  5. A. Please check out the link or many past messages or even my past resources on this subject, below:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=28248&new= or do a search for either center of gravity or centre of gravity. The message in the above link says it all:- 1. The significance of missing corner or protusion can be found here:- http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-building.htm 2. Please refer to attachment: Illustration 1. 2.1 Usually, I use the "eye-ball" method to determine the "largest" WHOLE rectangle. This is a quick method to ROUGHLY determine the centrepoint or center-of-gravity of the apartment. 2.2 NOTE: Please note that the protusion in YELLOW under Illustration 1 is NOT correct. As mentioned above, it is just a rough guide. 2.3 In fact, I don't draw out such an illustration. But for the purpose of learning in this forum; I did this quick sketch. 3. After mentally knowing where is the ROUGH centerpoint or center-of-gravity, I will start to plot a more accurate outline to determine a more accurate centrepoint (all using the "eye-ball" method). 4. When I roughly get the area of the SUM of Missing corners roughly equal to the SUM of protusions; see attachment: Illustration 2; then I will feel confident that I am pretty close to getting the centrepoing correct. 5. For those of you, you can also: copy a layout plan; paste it on a cardboard. Cut-out the outline and balance it on a nail. The place where the nail balances the entire layout plan should be the centre of gravity. However, as I mentioned, I am using the "eye-ball" method. 6. Therefore, based on a quick determination: refer to Illustration 2, yes the toilet (close to the basin) is at the centerpoint. ==== END OF CUT-PASTE======== B. The term "garbage-in-garbage out" still applies to BOTH the above ROUGH determination via eye-ball method or the cut-out. C. Why? C1. What makes this layout plan unique is that the area of missing corner can never be equal to the area of protusion. C2. Thus, just imagine you cut-out the entire area including say the PROTUSION. If so, of course, you will be very happy or elated to find that the center of gravity is not at the toilet area. C3. Anyway, one good news is that even with the "eye-ball" method I had mentioned, your centerpoint (not necessarily) the center of gravity is actually on a wall dividing between your toilet and your corridor area. C4. When it comes to psychology; if it makes both of you elated or happy to discover your centre of gravity is not at the main entrance then, it is fine. D. Here the "eye ball" method as mentioned in the above previous forum message clearly state that it is ROUGH method. D1. And usually, it can be very accurate if say the area of missing corner roughly equals to the area of protusion. D2. What you are using is to find the center-of-gravity. Although both it and centerpoint seems similar; usually it should be close-by. Unless it depends on how one cut-out the layout plan. Here, I am sure you added the non-living space i.e. the protusion aka the balcony area. It is subjective. But, hey, you can rejoice, now.
  6. These are some of the considerations. 1. See attachment: Yes, BOTH toilets are considered as within (boundary) of the TWO toilets (Upper and Lower). 2. Luck normally depends on:- 2.1. How suitable the home is to breadwinner. 2.2. External Shapes and Forms 2.3. Flying Star Facing directions: 2.3.1 Better facing directions in GENERAL are NE, SW and South. 2.3.2 Especially for next year: depending on the consideration of the facing direction; one of the nastiest facing directions NEXT year is EAST. North ain't that pretty either.. 3. The concept of "You stay there we (geomancers) don't". 3.1. Frankly, it is so easy to write a few lines and "command you" not to use your toilets! But, don't be foolish like many people who were told that they must never use their toilet! 3.2. Look at it this way, how many homes have their toilet outside of their community? 3.3. Even a EUNCH needs to pass motion and water! 4. Isn't it crazy to say DON'T use that (British term: BLOODY) toilet, please! 5. Usually in order to have major issues; a home often has more than 3 or more "leaks". Thus both toilets can be considered as ONE leak. Fix-the-Leak, First! 6. No use in banging one's head pointlessly against the wall. The more sensible approach??? The Concept of Maximizing Marks 7. Many apartments do have a toilet (or toilets) at the centrepoint. As mentioned above, other factors include what was mentioned under Para 2. above.
  7. These are some of the considerations:- 1. What you mentioned is pretty subjective. 2. As you had mentioned, in the Chinese culture; our elders does have a large influence on our "lives" and customs. Thus, if your parents felt that it is not right; who is to tell them otherwise? 3. However, in modern times; we are marrying someone whom we fell in love and as you had mentioned, "some unforeseen circumstances". Since you did not mention what is the circumstances; and looks like there is no other alternatives; then given such a situation; traditionals are not etiched into stone sort of thing. I am sure even tradtional(s) can be flexible given such circumstances, rite? 4. In reality; what you are facing "your future house and bride house is the same"; is in my opinion; you are not the only Chinese couple that will "been" there; sort of thing. There are many before you facing such a situation. 5. Furthermore, I am sure, that some day; you will get your own home. It would be a pity if say a wedding be postphoned because of this one "tradition": what is considered worse-off? In my opinion, it is worst off to postphone the customary wedding if everything has been decided upon. 6. Alternatively; in this modern times; where international marriages are plentiful; your parents may again not agree; but some have held the "tea ceremony" at a hotel; as some brides are not even local ones or even if local; they prefer this to be held say at a "grand" hotel of sorts. 7. As mentioned, you are marrying her; and no "tradition" should be a barrier! 8. If you have posted this to a Singapore government site; I believe they would say: " to heck with tradition! " We need you to get married (like yesterday) and make lots of babies! We (Singapore) are very desperate for rejunivation via? new-borns; please!
  8. Source & Credit: The Straits Times, Singapore This is an excellent graphic illustration of What's Hot and What's not for an adult and a child! The graphic file is cleverly laid out with all available information on one VISUAL sheet! KUDOS GREAT Reference guide!
  9. I have created a printable reference guide to Hypertension classification. Warning! This printable reference should only be used as a GUIDE. If in doubt, ALWAYS consult your Doctor! Based on research; these are the classifcation of blood pressure groupings:- NORMAL High-NORMAL 130 to 139 / 80 to 89 mmHg Grade ONE HYPERTENSION 140 to 159 / 90 to 99 mmHg Grade Two HYPERTENSION
  10. Firstly, if this is not a bedroom; not a major concern especially if it is at the back of the home or apartment. Secondly, many don't realise but a Refrigerator or fridge is actually considered as belonging to the metal element. Thus, if one needs metal in the kitchen; a large fridge can do the job.
  11. These are some of the considerations:- 1. Let's draw a parallel with things like: 1.1. Can I have mirrors in the bedroom? 1.1.1 Some Feng Shui books say that when we sleep; our spirit rises to wander around. And if we do have a mirror e.g. facing the bed; the person's spirit would rise up; see's itself and gets "shocked" seeing it's own image. 1.1.2 This is why, in the past, many of the Cathode-ray old TV screens are highly reflective; thus some geomancers say; don't place a tv screen facing the bed. Else cover it up. 1.1.3 What happens if the individual is not scared of mirrors; but in-fact, what happen if this person's spirit, loves to see it's image in the mirror e.g. looks at the mirror; to "comb hair" before, going off to meet "his/her" friends. 2. It is like on a continuum of "hot or cold". 2.1 Some of us can sleep in a bedroom full of mirrors; while others feel very uncomfortable. 2.2 In fact, for some not only they have mirrors say on their wardrope facing their bed; at nite, their windows and/or windows bay also have glass panels that are equally reflective. 2.3 For some; I have seen even a mirror above their bed. 3. The "problem" with us humans is that often; if we have family or friends visiting our home; or even reading books or surfing the web; were told that it is very inauspious to do so; our mind (psychological) begins to feel uncomfortable. 4. Nowadays, many led or oed tv sets do not have reflect screens. 5. Human nature varies: for example some of us can eat very spicy or hot chilli; while others dare not even touch mild chillies. 6. From a Feng Shui point of view; some books or article says that dont' introduce "water scenes" into the bedroom as it is considered "too yin". 7. Again, many of our concerns relate to AUTO-SUGGESTION, thanks to everything we hear, read and think about. Hopefully, this does not lead to SELF-FULFIllING prophecy! 8. Personally, if you feel comfortable with say the painting; you can always try it out. As I mentioned above: often it is "to each our own". 9. Another saying goes " One man's meat is another man's poison" or rather "One man's delicay is another man's yucky, yucky stuff!"
  12. If Feng Shui is to be considered, you may have missed issues especially with Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. For example, how the drainage flows out of the home to external surroundings, etc....and many other such factors need to be considered. What we have now is the disappointments with Flying Star Feng Shui. Time and again, I mentioned that even if one scores 100 marks under Flying star, bbut all else "crumbles" outside the four walls, the result can be failure.
  13. In my opinion, what you mentioned is very rudimentary. If you have ever seen a full and concised bazi chart,, you will be amazed by the information.
  14. Further to what I had mentioned; For those who need to find out the significance of anything e.g. a bagua mirror facing a home etc... it is always best to find out or as the saying goes, a picture paints or tells a thousand words.
  15. 1. Frankly, this topic has been asked, many, many times. It is not like you are the only one, who "faced" this issue. 2. Appreciate if you can make some effort to use the search feature. SEE ATTACHMENTS. 3. There are already tons and tons of resources.Only if one really, has some doubts, then post them. If after reading so many of the resources, and it is still GREEK, then.. DIY is either not with the person or impatience, sets in. In this case, get a geomancer to do it for you.
  16. 1. Frankly, if you are looking it from a Feng Shui point of view; then in country, try to consult a geomancer especially to GO on site under say a "Can or cannot buy type of service". Dear Sir,I am looking for a condo unit to stay and I am very confused with the facing. My husband, the breadwinner belongs to a Eastern group so supposedly S, SE, E and N facing house would favours him. Currently, we were eyeing a condo; the main gate (with the guard house and condo address registered) faces the South. However, the condo has 3 towers with all the entrance faces the East or South-east. Then in the unit that we preferred, the bedrooms and living room balcony (or side with most windows) faces the SE or East but the main door of the unit faces NW which is the "death" side according to the Eastern group system. May I know if we should continue to place offer for the unit or forget about it.Thank you sir.
  17. Since the 3 bagua mirrors does not contain any ba gua mirror; then the main purpose of the mirror(s) are for "protection" with the "higher order" of the Yin yang symbol.
  18. 1. In my opinion, toilet is better at North with MS2 WS5 and base 4. However, where possible, the toilet should share an external wall. 2. In addition, the layout of the toilet / toilet doorin relation to say the master bedroom layout should be considered. 2.1 For example, if based on shapes and forms (and if say having a toilet at SW would mean that one external wall is shared) and if at North; 2.2 there is or may not be an extra shared wall; then in such a situation or as you mentioned toilet door facing the side of the bed; the one not facing the side of the bed may be a better choice. 3. It is nice-to avoid toilet door facing the side of the bed. But if really no choice, (if one check past forum messages) there is no major issue. 4. The issue has more to do with both psychology i.e. if the toilet door is not closed; some don't like to see the toilet bowl etc.. 5. As mentioned in many of the past forum messages: was driving along the Central Expressway; a radio program; someone said: must buy disinfection tablet like those for false teeth to cleanse the toothbrush head; as he menitoned that anywhere one place the toothbrush in a toilet; sure to find some form of germs. 5.1. In addition, do you know that it is even better to have the lid of the toilet bowl in an "open" or upright position vs closing it. The reason? Many toilet bowl seats have "gaps" between the seat and the porcelain bowl. And in a closed position; whenever one flushes the toilet; some of the gas or "air" would shot out from this gap. 5.2. Frankly, for a normal healthy person; a bit of germs won't "die" or make us sick. Only those who have very low resistance to germs such as those recovering from an illness or the very old and weak.. should avoid AT all costs, a toilet door beside the bed. 5.3. For those, who are still working: strong limbs and hands; what is the worry? In life; like the saying goes; travelling in a plane is much safer than walking on the road. And the heck with it! Smelling one's toilet is even safer than walking on the road on as a motorcycle rider!
  19. In general, Ba gua mirrors can be classified or grouped into THREE major groups:- 1. Convex mirrors 2. Concave mirrors 3. Flat mirrors Note: These mirrors may be standalone or may be combined with a Eight Trigram pictorial with any of these mirrors in the middle. 4. Thus, you have a describe; what type and if they are different, at which locations that they are different. 5. One thing for sure, with some many ba gua mirrors facing your home; psychologically; uneasy feeling is a common thing in such situations. 6. Unless, the correct mirrors are identified..... can't tell for sure as each of these three mirrors (convex, concave, flat) or some other types of mirrors: have different implications.
  20. If your HDB mansionette unit is facing 207 degrees, then please look closely at the attachment.
  21. These sre some of the considerations: 1. The #4 with #3 combination can be neutralised with the "Fire element". 2. Fire element can be represented byusing red colour, e.g. an entrance door mat that is red and/or the use of lightining {such as an led light esp. a red one turned on. 3. In addition, it is best to close the main entrance door when not in use. 4. As this sector where the missing corner is especially the passageway wall sharing the lift airwell is located in a not so auspicious sector, a mirror at that wall is not advantages. 5. Depending on the view towards the balcony where one of the lift wall is found, if there is no good view, a mirror at this wall again is not advantages.
  22. Please use the search feature on the top left frame in this forum. As there are already sufficient posting info on this subject.
