  1. Domestic transfer water tank & pump room If one can imagine the fear of living directly above a sub-station or next to it. Hear these two samples, taken a few metres away. Yet, it is really noisy.. IMG_8441.MOV IMG_8442.MOV and one can understand how literally noisy it is to stay directly above a Domestic transfer water tank & pump room. IMG_8441.MOV IMG_8442.MOV
  2. In my view, the trend originated with City Development Ltd [CDL]. (Hong Leong Group) I realized this when The Livia by CDL was introduced some time ago. Since then, numerous other developers have also embraced this trend. Therefore, it is now completely certain that any projects developed by certain developers who have previously engaged in this will frequently continue to follow this trend... We can also attribute this to the nations that prohibit the export of sand to Singapore, beginning with Malaysia.... Nevertheless, these countries face their own limitations, particularly political ones..
  3. Good Luck! Lets not focus just on HDB flats. Singaporeans are so used to the perceived idea of higher the better. In monetary sense, all of us know that most of the time the price of a unit goes up per storey. In some developments it is like $500 to $1000 difference each floor higher. Lets not talk about this generalised idea. Do you know that "there are more rich people who stay on the ground/2nd storey = landed than -> up there". Here, the bungalows, semi-detached and terraces. All are suppose to be no higher than 3 storeys high + an attic.
  4. These lights are at the borderline and can be subjective... At the end of the day, it is how the owner feels is most important. Do remember that Human/Man luck is as equally important as Feng Shui or if not more so. Thus if one feels happy with it and confident.. then this is a great boost to one's Human or man luck. This is relevant: "Follow your heart regardless of what others tell you to do. At the end of the day, it is you who have to live with your decision not them."
  5. So Long as the lights don't seem to look threatening or makes one feel uneasy... Your taste is as much your preference as anyone's else.
  6. Correct placement of a set of Fu Lu Shou figures. As the Chinese books or works are always written from RIGHT to LEFT
  7. In red are potential poison arrows provided it is aimed towards an opening such as a balcony or windows of another home or premises. These are just two examples. Can you spot more?
  8. Watercove @ Wak Hassan Drive 80 units of Freehold colonial style cluster terraces and semi-detached housing. Black and white colonial style. Do you know why it is called black and white? This is because of the wood that is varnished or protected by black coating:paint. And all these homes were whitewashed. Thus the house looks like a white house with black stripes/wooden beam outlines..Still find one house at Fort Road that was converted into kids school.
  9. Classic case of poison arrow from roof-line of Neighbours. it is considered a Sha Qi or poison arrow(s) if the roof-line is aimed towards an opening such as a main door or openings.. The red outlines show the potential poison arrows from roof-lines of the strata terraces. Photo taken from Blk 732, Cascadale condo:- Same photo but without the red outlines drawn:- Strata terraces:- The distance between the strata terraces no. 1 to 37 is in close proximity of the first photo: that of block 732 Casacadale condo in Changi (circled in red):- Q: How to tell what distance is then considered a threat or potential poison arrow? A: Frankly there is no one size fits all. Take a look at this photo: Side view of the distance between the strata terraces on the left with block 732 on the right:- (Approximately 4 to 5 car lengths distance between the two) If I am standing at my main door and when I look out of it now... how do you feel? Perhaps a little uneasy? If it affects our feelings .. then this can also affect or rather bring down our Human or man luck. Not just Feng Shui which is about earth luck! For example: for some who are not blessed with Heaven Luck (Ba zi) and our earth luck is average.. But if we do have or surrounded by family : strong love, teamwork etc.. this transcends even poor or average Heaven and/or Earth luck. Do a search in this forum for "Holy Trinity of Luck".. for those who are not sure about what is Heaven / Earth and Human/man luck..
  10. Bishan Park condo looking towards Gardens at Bishan Slight angle view: Some units at Bishan Park: the view is at an angle
  11. Photos take at the Just T.O.P. Riverbank at Fernvale towards Lush Acres condo...
  12. Just T.O.P. Skyline I at Bukit Batok...
  13. Although it is U shaped.. it is not in a smooth traditional "font" style. More like modern type font. This reminds me of the latest logo found on recently launched HP notebooks.
  14. It appears to be largely accurate. Aside from the Livia at Pasir Ris, where the restrooms are constructed from a combination of moulded materials and polycarbonate. In my view, thus far, 99.99 percent of the time, all walls encasing the restrooms are solid. This is for practical purposes... to prevent the formation of mould or bacteria that could lead to illness.
  15. For HDB flats like HDB Park Grove (this block has yet to receive its Temporary Occupation Permit). I have visited its sister block, and therefore I am aware that the inner walls consist of dry walls. However, observe the exterior. It is nearly impossible to determine whether the interior employs dry wall partitions. The layout plans do not provide any clarity on this matter either. The only way to ascertain this is by entering the unit and knocking on the walls.
  16. Has it got to do with common sense? Yes, if it regards to how many legs can or should a dining table have? Generalised Feng shui originated from this common sense. This is why most geomancers felt that dining tables should have four legs. This illustration seems to suggest that if one leans at the edge of the table, will the table topple down? In normal circumstances, if a table has four legs at each corner of the edge, common sense says that no way such a table can tip or topple down. Please look at the illustration, below. If quality materials and good structural integrity is there, this table should hold it's weight:- However, there is the concern of wear and tear; plus it may have a weight limit. "Better safe than sorry applies".
  17. Angular shapes often may look sharp or pointed. And may cause or create a Sha Qi or Poison arrow(s) For example, one look and one can visualise the sharp point at the bottom of this classic light:- The light looks like if it is hung in the middle of a balcony.. seems like a poison arrow or Sha Qi. However, although these lights are not rounded and may have sharp curves; it does not look anything like the above sharp point: Thus may seem pointy.. but looks more like a pussy cat when compared to the first illustration. Of course these rounded "bird cage" style lights are the safest .. to please the ultra-conservatives.
  18. More like a mixed breed or pariah dog. Strangely.. one can tell if it is a mixed breed. As mixed breed's tongue is not pure pink but often have black markings.. I am perplexed by this... I wonder why? Or since Singaporeans love food so much.... better description is ROJAK! I don't care if it is Singapore or Penang or Indian rojak... though.... Was at ITE HQ ... food court : coffee only 50 cents. And this "rojak" Hor fun plate is cheap...
  19. Comments on Sims Oasis block arrangement:- If we look at the combination of TWO condo developments e.g. The Luxurie and La Fiesta, one can also get quite a similar layout plan. Don't get me wrong. The above and what I mentioned below are totally different. Just that I was at Block 50 La Fiesta facing block 21 of The Luxurie. It is like staring at the side of a block. This is actually a sha qi. Block 21 (The Luxurie) is a sha qi towards block 50 (of La Fiesta). Others: Yishun Sapphire vs Yishun Emerald in Yishun/Canberra are also unique combinations. Where if I am in a unit at Yishun Sapphire I could see pool water.. BUT Oops! That pool does not belong to our development! It belongs to Yishun Emerald!
  20. Yes in a way it is like a U shaped. Although this is considered as a variant of a U shape. Where the U is elongated at the middle: thus literally, speaking it can even be considered as a W. For those hopeful: W may symbolise to the W = Win , win ! Ah! Or the Mandarin character of a Mountain There are other developments in the past that are shaped in a 8. And the developers use it as a selling point. If one has the time can go thru this old thread. What is more important is a U = Horse--shoe design... A recommended read:- https://www.geomancy.net/content/feng-shui-resources/site-review/the-tropica-condominium/the-tropica-singapore More resources. What is interesting is that if one looks at a Chinese gravesite or a grave, it literally is also shaped in a symbolic horse-shoe design.
  21. An examination of the myth surrounding the apprehension that bunk beds are undesirable. Source Photo Credit: Picket and rail Please note that the lower bunk bed accommodates a queen-sized mattress, and half of this mattress does not extend beneath the upper section. As previously stated, there is no concern regarding sleeping beneath a bunk bed. However, if the room is sufficiently spacious and there are lingering fears despite my earlier comments, this presents another option. P.S. Photo used for educational purposes only.. Will remove if asked to.. support@geomancy.net
  22. Hope you understand, sorry at this moment, it's blackout.
  23. No mentioning of the development. YELLOW represents solid walls. And red represents dry wall partitions However, in some instances, a few develoopments that I have been to e.g. The Venue.. the structural architect added just a small portion of support beam, see below. (Did one see the added YELLOW partial beam between bedrooms 3 and 4? In such a situation, it is hard to ascertain that the inner walls may be dry wall. As it looks uniform thickness. Legend: Yellow = solid concrete or brick wall or beam RED = dry wall partitions
  24. Please check out this link:- One can observe whether it could be a solid or dry wall by taking an exterior look especially between two bedrooms: How thick is the separation "wall". Extract of the above link to have a better understand of how to know if a wall is solid or dry wall... Alternatively, some sales brochures are upfront and clearly state this. While other sales brochures generaly state that concrete/brick/dry partitions may be used. Here, sometimes dry partitions can be used at the toilet ceilings or kitchen ceilings. Thus none the wiser if the bedroom walls are solid or dry wall partitions. P.S. In my opinion, this may not be totally fool-proof.. as sometimes I encounter what looks like solid walls, but actually, it is just a portion closest to the external. and part of the inner walls (no need load bearing) use dry walls. Best to get the keys and knock knock the walls...
