  1. 1. It is good that you have observed that your daughter has "better" left brain skills (logical, mathematical...) than right brain (intuitive, subjective, spatial) skills. 2. In theory, better careers based purely on Ba zi for a weak wood person are careers in the water industry and wood industry. 3. Accountancy belongs to or is considered as a "metal" element career. Thus strickly based on ba zi to define a career, a weak wood person should be "surrounded" by water. As water supports wood. Only then can "metal" destroy (weak wood + water). 4. In my opinion, as parents, it is good to know but, I believe, you will also leave it to your daughter to pursue anything under the sun that she "likes" or has an opportunity to go into! Yes? Anonymous wrote: Hi Masters According to my daughter's bazhi, she is a weak wood person. She excels in her maths subjects more than the other subjects. Is it good if she pursuesher career in the accountancy field? If not, what will be good or suitable for her?
  2. 1. Please refer to my most recent comments under this topic: Identify Period Of House Posted in: Earth Luck :: Flying Star (Xuan Kong) House Posted on: Sun, 02 Nov 2008, 21:46 PM, 2. The above message highlights two major Arguments and my comment is that if necessary, one may need to consider drawing several Flying Star charts for such a home. Frankly, this is the most sensible approach which is adopted by many competent practitioners.
  3. 1. Many professional Feng Shui practitioners would strongly suggest that one draw at least two Flying Star charts for such a home. 2. As this subject of how easy to change a house's birth chart can be disputed both ways:- Argument 1: Some practitioners insist that do or die, only when the foundations are changed, then the house Feng Shui may change! Argument 2: One of the activities such as living it empty and re-occupying the home, in addition to giving it a fresh coat of paint. And removing the roof, and changing the main doors etc... Under argument 2, it is frankly difficult to say for sure what consititues a "thorough" change of a home's birth chart. As some say, just re-occupy it after it is empty. Others say, major renovations etc... 3. Thus, I still feel that the most sensible approach is as mentioned under Para 1 to draw at least two flying star charts and check the "history" if possible of the home. Quote: Anonymous wrote: My house was built in 1898 and the previous owner died in 2002 and left the house empty until we moved in in 2004. Is the period still 2 or does it change to 8 when we occupied the house after it was empty for over one year?

  5. Frankly, it is strongly recommended that one does not apply "Fast Food Feng Shui!" Quote: Anonymous wrote: I have been unfortunate in the romance and love area for a few years now. I am wondering what are some of the best feng shui colours, object placements, etc would be for the bedroom. Or if there are particular things or colours I should be wearing. I've heard placing lots of pinks/reds/purples (colours of romance) and items in pairs in the bedroom would help. Looking at the above, I am pretty worried that you may not be able to (on your own) given that you are trying to apply some sort of Feng Shui. Often, such Feng Shui is akin to a dog circling itself trying to bite off it's tail! In my opinion, if you still want to apply proper Feng Shui, either, spent more time and effort to activately have an uphill task of learning, understanding Feng Shui. Or, check around for a comptent Feng Shui practitioner to do a proper assessment and guidelines for you. The saying "A little knowlege is a danagerious thing!"
  6. Frankly, this is the first time, such a simple question has turned into more than 12 threads! Use your common sense, for below:- Quote: Sorry, can I ask she came to my house why shld she do the flower bathe instead of me? If she is a Christian, then don't follow the procedures. So simple! Chirstians always belief in GOD not in anything else! Please use your commonsense, please and this will be my last message on this subject! Goodness, me! MY GOD!
  7. In my opinion, in addition GREY colour is suprising less striking as "jet black" colour and may be difficult to spot in twilight hours, also.
  8. 1. One can always use the free repot (Eight House/ Ba Zi Element) at this url:- http://freereport.geomancy.net 2. Usually if you want to chose the car colour(s) best to find out the most suitable colour(s) of the driver. If you want to include the occupants e.g. wife, children, then you have to cross your finger to see if their colours match yours or is a binding colour. 3. It is not possible to have a multi-coloured car e.g. bonnet red, car doors green, roof = black, bumpers blue. etc... 4. Several insurance studies have in general, found that the two most "dangerous" colours that have higher rates of accidents are:- 4.1 REDcolour As most likely, one may be distracted by all red car colour and may not be as attentive to the tail lights that are equally red for braking etc.. 4.2 GREY colour Especially so for temperate countires. Where some believe that the car colour quite match the tone of the road. And in foggy weather, it makes it worse to spot such a car - in- time! 5. Binding element As mentioned under Para 2, above, only sometimes, the binding element may match a couple e.g. the driver and his wife! For example, if the wife is a weak water person. and the husband is say a weak metal person. Then metallic color is the binding element for both of them: metal supports a weak metal person. And metal also supports a weak water person.
  9. Yes, of course, it would be "nice" or "best" that she does not come to your home within 100 days. But, if she already has done so, then as what I had mentioned and you have also just mentioned, below. Quote: I can just ask her to do the flower bathe
  10. In my opinion, based on your description, it does not change the Period of your home. Quote: Rose R. wrote: Demolishing of bult in closets, painting and pot lights on main floor and new kitchen , bathroom and dry wall in basement will do?
  11. 1. There are many different aspect of Feng Shui. What you had mentioned, below, belongs to the category known as "Commonsense Approach" to Feng Shui. 2. The rationale for some people saying that the what you had mentioned is "NO" good is because, of the "concern" that in the unlikelyhood that if one or any of the three cars catch fire; as fire rises, most likely it may be a "death" threat to those living/sleeping above this area. 3. This is equivalent of many people saying that it is NO good to have a bedroom above a kitchen. The same rationale applies, here. As it is more likely that a fire may break out in a kitchen than any other parts of the home. And if so, fire and smoke rises upwards. 4. Thus in your case, it would bebest to make sure that no inflammable items is stored at the "garage" or cluttering the garage area with newspapers, and other items. 5. Today, it would be good if the garage is installed with smoke / fire detector. 6. Thus this whole "picture" is simply known as "Commonsense" Feng Shui. And it is simply this that some people are concerned with. 7. Thus instead of some "silly" remedies such as placing 6 coins etc.. it would be best to invest in smoke alarms or even sprinklers in the garage area. And check that they are "working" or well maintained. 8. In addition, it is always good to keep fire extinguishers both at the garage area and upstairs in your unit. And make sure that your windows have grilles that can be opened or break open - upon an emergency. Thus, this is as far as the concern in Feng Shui and in commonsense approach to safety. Any other concerns are not-real. Anonymous wrote: I've recently moved into an apartment that sits directly above a 3-car parking space. I'm quite new to the idea of feng shui, but I've read and been told that having your living space/bedroom right above a garage is extremely bad feng shui and bad for the people living there.
  12. Please check my previous reply. Have already mentioned what to do - if she goes to your home. For example the red string and the lime leaf. And she can also flower bathe anytime afterwards. This is not "rocket science" we are talking about. Please check my previous message again. There is certainly no misunderstanding, here. Just that you did not properly read my pervious reply (full stop).
  13. 1. You should give her a red string and ask her to throw away, later. 2. She should buy a few pieces of "lime leaves" and placed in her pocket. After attending the wake, she should throw it away before shegoes backinto her home (before entering the door). Note: the lime leaves - is a fragrant leaf . Malay call it : " Lima purut " (not exact spelling).
  14. Quote: Andy K. wrote: Sorry I dun understand. I mean she went to my hse (my own hse) as her gradma wake and my auntie wake still going on (2nd day of her grandma wake) and during tat time I went to my auntie hse cos something happen to her and she also went with me (my auntie passed away on the same day). So, how to resolve all this , esp pple said she shouldn't go my hse, and secondly she shldn't go to my auntie (got crashed as my auntie passed away and her grandma passed away). 1. Sometimes, such things do happen! Clash of having to go to two wakes. But often, this is more of the "mind" than "matter". 2. Thus, in many instances, there should not be any major situation, here. As it is due to coincidence and understandable. 3. After having visited both wakes, she may consider, "flower bathe" and make sure that she collects the "red string" that is given out during majority of the wakes in Singapore. The red string should later be disposed off!.
  15. 1. Frankly, if one simply applies the Eight House (Eight Mansions) or Ba Chai Feng Shui, what you had mentioned is very common occurence. 2. Feng Shui is far more "complex" than this and the external Feng Shui : The environment, the site, the building are equally important in the proper assessment of the home. Thus, what you had mentioned is to general for a genuine assessment purely based on Feng Shui. 3. Numerology or house number will often not affect the Feng Shui. But as you had mentioned, usually may affect the resale value as well as one's personal feelings: if we don't feel good about something then it affects our "Human luck" factor. Here, the holy trinity of luck is:- 1. Heaven Luck = suppose to be born with. 2. Earth Luck = Feng Shui of your home / work 3. Human Luck = how one feels about say the house you live in, it's number etc...
  16. Frankly, it is difficult to change the external factors, since majority or all the time, we do not have control over this. It is not like, one can get the dragon side to be higher than what it is or the tiger side -- lower. This is not just possible. Thus, you have to consider maximizing the FengShui of your home by other means i.e. improve other areas of your home, instead.
  17. 1. From what I understand, your friend, has (had) already visited both funeral wakes. 2. What's past is past already. For her, or yourself, if you had visited both wakes, did you take a token "red string?" after you had visited the funeral wake? If so, the red string is thrown away later, as a gesture to avoid "bad luck". 3. You may consider as a precaution: "flower bathe" i.e. buy an asortment of flowers and two limes (cut into halves) and after you have bathed cleaned, just pour the water from your head downwards. You may pick and throw the flowers and ... and avoid going into the toilet a 2 hours.
  18. In my opinion, a yoga instructor can be considered as a "wood" element. As yoga instructor is a "teacher" and also promotes learning.
  19. 1. In my opinion, some Feng Shui practitioners "learned" and apply "wrongly" the Eight House concept. To some of these practitioners, just because, it applies to the dead, it does not mean that it is the same as the "living". 2. Here, one has to differentiate between "Yang and Yin Feng Shui". 3. Many practitioners who use the method of sitting with the back with our best direction - simply did not realise that unlike Feng Shui for the dead: For the dead, it is good to be positioned at a favourable position. 4. But for the living: the question asked is: where is your mouth, nose and face? At the backside or frontage? Here, for the Living, or Yang Feng Shui, we should be sitting facing our good direction to take in good qi. 5. The concept of Flying Star is also to try to tap the qi or where is the "mouth" of the house. 6. Thus, unfortunately, some Feng Shui practitioners, "learned" their trade mostly from past practises of the Feng Shui for the dead and then, blindly apply it to "living" human beings. 7. The difference is clear: Dead person, can no longer breathe. But a living person: where is his/her mouth, nose and eyes? Definitely not found at the "back-side" rite? Anonymous wrote: I was wondering if you can clarify this for me. I have read on a few websites that we need to sit the way our back is facing our best direction to get a support to improve but some feng shui masters have recommended that to sit facing our best direction.
