  1. It is no big deal! Nothing secret about this....... old method .....
  2. 1. Frankly, on the surface, one should not really resort to moving home unless, both the shapes and forms of the home is "terrible" and the Flying star qi does not help at all. 2. Most of the time, even if a home is unsuitable for family members, most of the time, "health" if analysed and disarmed properly can be negated. 3. Thus often it is not as serious unless there are more to it. 4. For example, if the house isa one level house, avoid sewerage pipe(s) running below a bed or living room sofa (etc..). 5. I am confident (in general) proper application of the correct Feng Shui can help your situation.
  3. 1. Thanks for the layout plan. 2. Based on the site plan, it does seem that one of the point does seem to aim at the "red star" (which u mentioned to ignore it). 3. There is a total of three "barrels" or points and two of the is aimed at Blk 736 (one of them aimed at the red star and another aimed "higher" up). 4. A lesser "barrel" is aimed at Blk 651. 5. In my opinion, if your unit is at Blk 736 and lower as you had pointed in arrow, then it is not in direct "attack" of the "barrel" of something like a gun. 6. Furthermore, the stretch of road at Pasir Drive 10 acts like a "river" where cars flow on it. Thus this helps the situation. 7. In my opinion, the two barrels aimed at Blk 736 is "quite far away" and as mentioned under Para 6, there is "moving water" (cars on the Pasir Ris Drive 10) helping or lessen the situation. This is not the worst "attack". Seems to be a "mild" one.

  5. 1. In some instances, a wind chime is often recommended as a form of "moving" metal especially a 6-hollow rod windchime. (Especially if a sector has bad Flying star numbers with #5 or a combination of #5 with and/or #2 and/or #9.) 2. Sometimes, non-moving metal such as a row of six coins tied with red string is hung above the main door. It all depends on the flying star number(s) particularly the Mountain Star # and Water Star # at the main entrance. In some instances a set of six coins is enough. But in certain cases, alternative "moving metal" may be used. E.g. a common wall clock could be considered. Or those grandfather clock with brass fittings. (Of course some of these may make noise). 3. In general, six coins in a straight line is the "next" best alternative if one does not consider placing a wind chime. Plus, so long as the wall clock does not face the main door directly it may be considered. 4. Other "moving" metal may be air-conditioning flow of air circulating in the home cum main entrance area and/or a fan circulating air. This two are also considered as an "equivalent" of a wind chime. One has to see if any of these are or may or may not be appropriate to you. Quote: Yeongliang C. wrote: I was told to hang a copper wind chimes at my door, but this is too loud and obvious. is there any other FS artifact that serves the same purpose, but less loud ?
  6. 1. Insurance studies (statistics) has found that there is a higher incidence of accidents with cars that are RED and GREY. Why? 2. Most likely, for RED cars, it is more difficult to react to the tail stop lights as the entire car is red. This is somewhat of a distraction. 3. Why GREY cars? Especially in foggy days or dim light conditions, it was suggested that grey cars look quite close to the tone of the tar road.
  7. Boss : "Richard, I don't care, how you do it, JUST GET MORE SALES!" Richard: "Yes, Boss! By any means, rite? " Boss: "Yes! " (Customer comes into the Electrical Appliance Shop...) Customer (aka "the victim): "How much is this air-con? And can it function as an air-cleaner?" Richard: "Yes, Sir! This is our latest air-con. And it has a built in ioniser and hepa cleaner" Customer (aka "the victim): "Wow, that's great! This is the one for me!" Richard: "To be more effective, you should replace the air-con every year!" Customer (aka "the victim"): "Which month?" Richard: "You see, this air-con with ioniser with hepa cleaner can absorb too much bateria and germ. And it is best to replace it every year in February or during Chinese New Year!" Customer (aka "the SMART victim"): "I may be easy going but I am NOT a fool! Furthermore, I am not a Chinese! And I don't celebrate Chinese New Year!". Richard: "Then what do you celebrate!" Customer (aka "the SMART victim"): "I wish to celebrate th closure of your unscrupulus company! You can fool a kid but not me Stupid!" Boss: "Richard, remember, when Chinese New Year arrives, please DISAPPEAR! But leave the air-cons alone!"
  8. "If an air-cleaner filter is dirty? We change the filter. If the coins in a jam jar (method) has powdery substance or thining.. we change the coins and replace the salt and water" 1. As mentioned earlier, although the practitioner in my opinion has correctly mentioned that it is used to "disarm" or cure #5 and/or #2. 2. However, traditionally, this is an old Chinese method and not something that the practitioner has come up on his own nor this is a secret. 3. The purpose of this is that the interaction of salt water with an opened jam jar is that it can conduct "electiricity" or "ions". 4. The other points mentioned by the practitioner has more to do with some "mystic" belief that there is something magic that it absords "bad qi". Frankly, in my opinion, this is unfounded. 5. As logically, this reaction of copper coins with salt water produces a "gas" or "ions". As such, the coins often get thinner and thinner or pitted or eroded. If it gets eroded, it gets thinner and thinner. 6. In fact, as I also mentioned earlier, the "modern " equivalent or better technology is an ioniser or something like a Sharp brand air-cleaner with ioniser. Or a Honeywell air-cleaner. 7. What is common between an air-cleaner and this coin in jam jar with salt water? Primarily, the ioniser produces ions. While the coins + salt water has a chemical reaction producing some "gas". The medium, here is that for an air-cleaner, if the filter is dirty, we change it. And for the 6 coins in a jam jar, we also change it if it is eroded or we find some "white" powderly substance due to copper and salt forming another chemical. 8. Thus logically, the question asked is " Do we throw away the air-cleaner just because it is Chinese New Year? The idea, here is we only change the filter (equivalent of the eroded coins + salt water ). 9. Thus, isn't this two very similar in nature? It would be a waste to throw away a relatively new (air cleaner) such as a well known brand like Honeywell and or Sharp brand. 10. In fact, in the earlier forum message, I had mentioned that we can easily use any alternative "moving-metal" such as a hepa air-cleaner or at least a fan. A circulating fan, is considered a moving metal, which helps to "neutralise" or negate #2 or and #5 or #5 with #9 and or #2. 11. Therefore, such cures, should not have any "taboos" or "something" mysterious with it (fake, imitation coins, ordinary salt and standard water in a jam or glass jar). And this is not "rocket science".
  9. In my opinion, there should be a campaign against or that consumers should boycott people selling products in the "name of" Feng Shui:- http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/Commercial_Products Many unscrupulous websites and even so called "Masters" are promoting products on their website. In my opinion, these people really have no shame or even compassion for those already in debt or facing problems. These people should be "shot". When the buying stops, the selling can! Logically, there is no magic attached to :- 1. a regular jam jar or cup 2. salt and water .. 3.fakecoins with square holes. If we examine the above items, cananyone tell us how this items can "store bad qi". No logic.
  10. 1. Water in a jar when it evaporates has to be topped up. 2. Actually, there is really nothing magical for this "thing". The rationale is that when we add salt to water to copper coins it actually produces a mild electric current or "ions" are produced. 3. Frankly, it is naive to say that it stores lots of bad qi. Any one saying this is either trying to hook-wink someone else or it is pityful that this person does not know anything relating to the real use of it! 4. Just imagine what so magical about this jar with salt water and coins? Maybe the person seen too many "Bewitched" shows or "I dream of genie!". 5. Earlier, I had mentioned that in modern times, a hepa air cleaner with ioniser would even do a better job than this. Quote: Amanda Y. wrote: Some say that this jar of water, salt and coins should be replaced every chinese new year because it is said to store a lot of bad chi. So we need to replace with a new jar with water with salt and new coins every chinese new year. Do you agree with this? Frankly, either one is naive or too innocent or only can trick a child into believing that it has to be changed every Chinese New Year. Far from the truth! In fact, the correct way is to check that "if the coins are badly eroded, then please change the coins! The erosion is due to pitting where salt water (acidity) eats into the metal. Not so much of the hocus pocus, unbelieveable, story of this jar storing bad qi ! Gosh, what next? In Singapore, there are well known stories of greedy people get conned into believing that a "magical" stone can cure everthing. And many of these greedy persons, fell into the con man's trap! Frankly, we should'nt be too naive in what we hear! If not, go to the person who says this and ask for proof that it stores bad qi! No logic
  11. Frankly, a statement such as this is either placing it thru your personal feelings or by "chance". As mentioned previously, on this same topic; your statement has nothing to do with the way Authentic Traditional Feng Shui has been used to analyse a home as well as checking to see if a water position may be placed there. Thus what you mentioned, is purely based on "personal feeling". Quote: Paramjeet K. wrote: Is placing a fish tank at the dining Room advisable ?
  12. No, if the water vaporises, it should be topped up as and when it becomes close to empty. No need to wait until the next Chinese New Year or Christmas to come.
  13. 1. Usually, the major influence is due to the Flying Star numbers. 2. In this case, the "untimely stars" is not only #2 but a combination of #2 earth further fuelled by fire #9! And if or should stars like #2 and/or #5 flys into the bedroom (e.g. monthly, daily stars) then beware of health issues. 3. In general, #2 can often be cured by hanging a set of six coins tied with red string. This represents "big metal" to destroy" #2 and negate #9. However, since the bedroom also has a #7 weak metal but (bad "robbery star 7".) then:- 4. Best to avoid using big metal e.g. 6 coins tied with red string. So as not to inflame #7! 5. For such a situation:- 5.1 Aircon = moving metal or Fan (another moving metal) can be used to help try to negate it. 5.2 Instead of a set of six coins tied with red string, one may consider placing a hulu or bottle gourd. For example, one may consider placing a bronze coloured bottle gourd (roughly 2 inches in height) or a wood bottle gourd. Avoid black bottle gourd as it is used or meant more for "wealth" collection than the gold or wooden gourd. 5.2 In real serious cases, e.g. constantly sick or suddenly need an operation or hospitalised, then a jar 3/4 filled with water and 3 teaspoonful of salt and 6 coins may be used. Modern equavalent is to use hepa air cleaner and /or hepa cleaner cum ioniser. 14. In a Feng Shui audit of say, a landed property, it is also good to take note that one of the water dragon concept is that: Yin water is actually drainage or even a river flow of water from right to left of a home's main enterance. While Yang water is water flowing past the main door from left to right. In modern times, it can also mean vehicles travelling on the road or highway in-front of our home.
  15. 1. Yes a water position should be turned on 24-7. Other things like lights etc need not be 24 hours. 2. Commonsense approach is that if pump is not 24 hours may cause mosquito to breed. 3. Best to apply Flying Star Feng Shui, instead of applying kindergarten Feng Shui to placing a water position. 4. Frankly a small water feature is more of a play thing than Feng Shui thus not so effective!
  16. 1. It is best to check whether the NW sector of your interior apartment is not a "missing corner". If so, and if you have a garden, it is good to either use landscaping to form an outline of the "missing corner" or install a light at the corner of the NW to "extend" the missing corner. 2. Generally, if this is the exterior of the home (apartment), then often, planting greenery is acceptable. I see that you are not applying Flying Star Feng Shui. But rather, trying to apply "fixed template" or looking at at sector and looking at what colours are best for it. 3. In my opinion, always try to keep the garden as "natural" as possible. Thus, plants are acceptable. If Flying Star Feng Shui has been used, then one can further look at whether it is suitable or not for a water feature. OR rather, a rock garden is a better choice or none of the above. 4. So long as the metal pole is not directly "aimed" at your window e.g. if it is at the side, this is perfectly fine. Best to stand inside the home, and look directly out of the window. If it can become a poison arrow, then either drawing a "day curtain" (out of sight) is OK. Or if one frequently opens the window, then one may consider a convex mirror at waist level on the window "looking outwards".
  17. 1. Yes, I can truly understand your predicament. 2. As a 2D top view of the layout - truly extremely difficult to determine the facing. Especially since the main entrance area does not exactly "house the living room" and the living room has its own set of windows that face approx. NW. 3. Furthermore, the dining area seems to be another candidate. 4. Thus in my opinion, based soley on the 2D view alone, very difficult to determine the facing. 5. The best method is often for those who have stayed in such a home is to draw several flying star chart and check the history of the persons staying in your home. 6. Often professional practitioners, prefer to be onsite, and stand outside the home, 1st to get a feel as well as check out the "living" habits of the owners. For example, if one frequently slam shut the main entrance door and because of the afternoon sun, close or use thick blinds, then this SW side may most probably not be the facing side. 7. Personally my feel is either NW (1st choice) or close 2nd (SW or SE) facing, probably not NE.
  18. Please refer to some of the most recent messages with terms like "the three step approach" or "maximizing marks".
  19. 1. In my opinion, it is always good to do some research rather than depend frequently on "spoon feeding" info as a frequent forum user. 2. For example, the bigger picture includes the concept of "sum of ten", "pearl string". Which is part of some of these SW1 or NE1 flying star combinations. And the concept that there is no such thing as a perfect home in every way. 3. If you have gone thru some of my past messages, I have also warned of ill but correctable health e.g. for NE or SW homes.
  20. 1. Usually, facing a wall implies that often, in some instances, we may have our back to a door. 2. Thus on it's own, work facing a wall is perfectly alright. 3. Given that you are new and that this type of layout in some office is common to save space or utilise limited space. 4. Under Eight House Feng Shui, it is considered good to sit facing a good direction. So, if you are facing a good direction (Nice-to-have) and not a must have, then this will be one plus point. 5. Having one's back to an entrance door - often is more of personal "comfort" level, as often, nowadays many work on a computer and the screen is visible - plus often many of us don't like being "surpised" from behind. 6. Some people, strategically place a small mirror on their desktop or on their pc monitor edge to monitor anyone behind us much like a car rear mirror. This is not Feng Shui but considered as Human factor. Quote: Anonymous wrote: I've just joined a new job. I work with computers, my desk faces the wall and I have my back to the entrance door. I have read one must avoid these two situations, I can't change this placement, so please, could you suggest some other way to counteract thisif it's something really negative. Thank you.
  21. 1. Some of the sectors you had mentioned used to be considered as harmonious to the placement of a water feature. Being "harmonious" does not always (often) equate to it as a water wealth location. 2. The key consideration is if you are able to draw a Flying Star Feng Shui chart. Or hire a competent practitioner to review your home Feng Shui. 2.1 Why Flying Star Feng Shui? What you had mentioned under Para 1 has to do with "fixed" or non-time dimension Feng Shui. And mostly to do with rudimentary concept of The Five elements. Where, in general, north = water element. 2.2 And under the Eight aspirations (another fixed non-time dimension) Feng Shui, north = career sector.. Etec.. 3.1 Thus it is believed that a more accurate assessment should be made using Compass School Flying Star Feng Shui. 3.2 In many of my past forum messages, if it happensfor an existing home tobe able to tap " Water star #8 " e.g. this happens to becoincidentally at the balcony, then, #8 water or a water position can bring significant benefit as this is the current water wealth sector. (Subject to further analysis of what is theMountain Star # and Base # at that location). But overall, this is a potential site to enhance wealth in a home. 3.3 Under Para3.2, if one can install a water feature, this is considered as a "wealth enhancement". But water may be used to "drown" bad stars. Thus on one hand it helps to enhance wealth, sometimes, it may be used to"plug" leaks in a home. Flying Starcombinations ofdouble #7's and the likes of #5 with #2 etc.. 4. Therefore, the benefit of using Flying Star is that in general, water position can be used either for :- a. wealth enhancement : Such as Water star #8 (current properity) and even water star #1 (future prosperity- not now luck but luck for5 to 10 years down the road). 5.In the past, many less educated practitioners or even those learning and DIYFeng Shui, may only practise "kindergarten Feng Shui" as mentioned under Para 1. For example, east = wood element and water position at east is harmonious to it. 6. In general, under this Period 8, onemay consider activating a water feature, especially if the compass direction South-West falls in an openarea e.g. the frontage of a home oran appropriate living room! 7. But one should not be foolish in that if a waterwealth sector is found in a bedroom, don't ever activate it, there! 8. Nowadays, I begin to see a trend of "Commando Style" Feng Shui... not recommended (Not Strongly recommended).
  22. 1. The Eight House (Eight Mansions) concept is "fixed". For example, as you had mentioned, if north is your favourable direction, then most likely you are an East group person i.e. your "overall" good or acceptable directions are " North, South, East and South East". 2. While Flying Star, as you had mentioned, is based on "star numbers" and their combined significance. 3. There are situations where a room can be surrounded by bad stars. Some rooms or some homes depending on the flying star numbers may even be affected by truly bad stars such as #5 #9 #5. If so, it is very difficult to disarm such stars. While rooms with #2 and #9 could most likely generallybe neutralised. Quote: Melody V. wrote: Hello there, My bedroom is located in one of my good sectors which is the north. So when I sleep, my head points to the north which is my good direction too. However, what if bad flying stars number 2 and 5 fly to the north? - Let us say, number 2 and 5 fly to the north as annual stars....Is it still okay if my head points to the north? Ot should my head point to another direction instead?
  23. 1. Traditionally, in general, one of the main purpose of ba zi is to "zero in" into most common tool: What isyour personal ba zi element and strength. 2. For example, a person may have a result as a "weak wood" person. 3. Although you are not wrong, sometimes it is very difficult or impractical to apply. 4.1 For example, the Flying Star Feng Shui has the 20 Year stars, the yearly stars, the monthly stars and even daily and hourly stars! 4.2 Thus, even if you know say the Water wealth star #8 is at a specific moment in time of the day, would one be free enough to have a moveable water feature to move around (a cluttered) home! It is not like plugging in a vacuum cleaner and moving it around with the cords dangling the house. 5. Ba zi with the final "result" as e.g. weak wood, strong wood, strong fire, weak fire is already an acceptable "universal" resultant of the analysis of each individual. Flying star numbers or Flying star "numerology" also uses the Five elements concept. 6. Thus the common denominator of your individual ba zi element and strength e.g. weak wood can be interfaced or correlated with the Flying Star Feng Shui as it also uses the Five elements concept as the common denominator. Of course, there are still many practitioners out there who don't even know how to interpret or worse, get one's ba zi element wrong! (This is besides the point, here).
  24. 1. Please note that your question is a "very common" thing! For example, under the Eight Mansions (8 House) there are 4 good and 4 bad directions. 2. If we apply mathemathics, 1/ 8 or one-eight probability that a home may have one's death or disaster at the frontage and equal probability in one's bedroom! 3. Frankly, in the Eight Mansion's sense, no one will die from it! Unless our mind takes over.. i.e. too intense auto suggestion and self-fullfilling prophecy -- takes over!) 4. Please search for a very recent reply (just a few days ago) on the same subject. 5. You may search for terms like: Maximising marks and The Three-Step approach. 6. In my opinon, all these "talk about death" is unhealthy! Quote: Sharon V. wrote: Does this mean, i am going to die young, or soon. Have you come across this before, and helped someone correct the problem.
