Dear Anon, Frankly, I have this to say: 1. Users or practitioners want to `play safe' and advise to use more not less. 2. One must remember that everything is about balance. I have seen lots of cases where even some practitioners advise their clients to place so many `cures' or remedies that resulted in their clients going into problems. I do not wish to see users here `falling' into such problems. 3. I have also advised users to follow the Customer Engineer Concept, where if you are using `cures' to use them selectively or not to use too many at a time. Else you may not be sure of what to do next. 4. Under the Five Elements concept, wood is used to destroy earth (concre…

Further to the earlier message, this combination of stars is pretty interesting:- If Moutain Star #2 and Water Star #7, the significance is:- "Enjoy good wealth during period 7. However, great wealth will result in possible romance. Beware of someone using kindness or romance to cheat you of your wealth." Dear Cheui May, Grateful, if you can draw a simple sketch as it will be clearer to see/understand. If you can how far is the `threat' and is there a road between your house and your neighbours. If so, roughly how wide is the road? Warmest Regards, Cecil P.S. Please post it to the conference for attachments. Thanks in advance.

Dear Anon, In my opinion, one should classify this under a `belief' rather than Feng Shui. (Thus one must be clear between the distinction of Feng Shui and `beliefs'.) Since it is a belief, it is up to the individual to `belief' it can (or cannot) work for the person. To me, there is no harm to place three coins in the account book if one reallys wants to. If I were to say that one must use a gold gilt edge accounts book, do you want to belief what I say. Again, this is a belief as it cannot relate to the five elements. Perhaps, with all the `glitter', when one opens that page, it makes the specific area `bright'. Again, each of us, can only decide for ones-self:) Warmest…

Dear Cheui May, Please see below:- It is difficult to solve a `poison' arrow aimed at the bed. Usually, if the `corner' is aimed at the feet, this is still ok. As for the use of wind chime, it is quite difficult to hang it. Even if you hang it, you may have to hang it at the level `between' you and the `corner'. Since your bedroom is quite big, the option is if you have any simple `partition' that can be placed standing like those `standees' would be acceptable. Otherwise, frankly, at the moment think of any thing that can neutralise the corner without looking odd or sound `practical' or feasible. Warmest Regards, Cecil Yes, this layout is not good. The only thin…

Dear Carina, Please see below:- If you can provide me with a rough sketch e.g. a graphic file attachment it would help. It is very difficult to provide u a `detailed' comment such as whether a corner is at threat or not just on a few sentences. For heat, or heat on the wall and you can still feel it in the evening, there is no Feng Shui method to measure how `inaupicious it is. Where possible, no direct sun light is best or if possible, keep the bed away from the affected wall if possible. So long as the room temperature is comfortable, this is ok. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Chrinstine, Many thanks for posting the three pictures. I now can better understand from the pictures: 1. The plot of land where your neighour's house is (i.e. behind your house) has sha qi. 2. As for your house, once, the neighbour's house is up and you have a fence, it will be shielded from the sha qi of the `T' junction. 3. I understand from the picture that there are no trees (as this is a new plot of land). Currently with no trees, the land has sha qi from exposed `wind'. I believe, as more trees are ground around the estate it would be ok. 4. Under Shapes and Form of Feng Shui:- 4.1 A single house should not be surrounded i.e. an `island' of roads on all four s…

Dear Elena, When I have the time, will try to take some pictures. Generally, a good reference is a standing grandfather clock especially those with brass `tick-tock' metal pendulums will do nicely. Alternatively there are some hanging pendulum clocks. Here, try to get those with a `metal' weight pendulum. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Cheui May, 1. In Feng Shui, it is also important to maximize one's LUCK using the three most important theories:- 1.1 Shapes and Form Here, location, location and location is important. 1.2 Eight House HOW SUITABLE is the house to the person? And at locations where one spents most time at should preferably be an auspicious sector. 1.3 Flying Star and Pillars of Destiny Here, Flying Star looks the birth chart of the house is looked at. While we extract, one's element and strength from Pillars of Destiny. Look at our luck periods and its relationship with the five elements. If you can see clearly, each principle above (1.1; 1.2 and 1.3) are specific tools used to analy…

Dear Robert, In the `life' pillars we have House of Life and House of Conception. Similiarly in Yin Feng Shui there is the opposite of House of Life i.e. House of `Death' and roughly the translated term is House of Reincarnation. The House of Death does not mean when a person die. But rather in a spirtual sense of the dead such as the person's spirit or `ghost'. For the House of Reincarnation, it is the belief that when a person dies, he/she is reincarnated. By the way, these additional Pillars (1 pillar = 1 heavenly stem + 1 earthly branch) e.g. House of Life, Conception etc... these are the so called additional pillars for more advanced readings. The basic readings is…

Dear Chuei May, Please see below:- ----- Original Message ----- From: "free-advice Listmanager" To: Sent: Thursday, October 19, 2000 4:09 PM Subject: Need assessment of house Perhaps, I have as mentioned above been overly cautious thats all. If you are not in a hurry as yet, it is still good to consider all other available options. I know that from previous experience, it is not that easy to find a house that `fits to a T'. Wishing all the best in your house hunting. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear All, Here are some questions which we can use as a guideline:- 1. How useful is Shapes and Form Feng Shui? We can make use of Shapes and Form Feng Shui to review our home with regards to the strengths and weakness / threats to our home. If we are choosing a new home, and take full advantage of Shapes and Form FS, we may get a Quantum Leap in Feng Shui LUCK. (This area is worth understanding). But do remember that it is easy to understand but difficult to apply in some instances. 2. Go on the Defensive... Even if a house is considered an EXCELLENT house (by virtue of its EXCELLENT Shapes and Form), this does not mean that such a house does not have a `defect'. The rul…

Dear Anon, Please see below:- In my opinion, it would be more appropriate for your office to be located at South-West (living room). Looks like North-West is the dining room so may not be appropriate or not as advisable. West is a possibility (2nd choice to SW). But in terms of these three alternatives, SW is still the best. Please e-mail privately to robert-lee@geomancy.net with your member's login account e.g. abc@def.com (password not necessary) so that we can credit you with a complimentary auspicious date report). Dear Cecil, My bedroom door is not facing my mom's door. In this case, can I hang or place anything in my bedroom so that my mom doesn't get angry with me so easily? BTW, she only gets angry or furious with me and not with other 3 children. I'm the 2nd daughter, with an elder sister and 2 younger brothers. I think it's the Chinese culture where the second daughter is born to be hated. My last hope is Feng Shui. Please advise.

Ahhh yes, the common sensse approach, and in this case it definately looks like the best approach for this type of corner house indeed. The 2 bagua's pales in comparison to the Meyer house which looks like a Feng Shui Fortress. Thank you for showing me the extent that one can go into protecting one's house. This seems to be very basic common sense but then again, Feng Shui has a lot to do with common sense and I'll have to keep this in mind along with Shape/Forms, Flying Star and 8 House Theory. I've started to become much more aware of houses in the neighborhood that practice Feng Shui, using baguas/keiloons etc which is why I had to ask the question "What are they t…

A row of bush rather than a partition of trees would be a better choice. If you are using trees, they usually end up growing tall and `beyond control' after 3 to 4 years. And a row of trees need to be planted spaced out at least 2 to 3 feet from each other. Depending on the type of tree, they often leave behind a huge area of shadow below the tree making the area, too yin. Contrast this with lower shrubs or bushes or simply, creepers on fencing which are much easier to maintain. Since the water tanks are covered up often this is no longer a major issue. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Cecil Thank you so much for your quick reply. I may have given you the wrong information by attaching a 9-grid chart earlier. In fact, if measuing the main door from the centrepoint of the house, it is still within the NE section. I am attaching a sketch of pie chart for your reference. Based on your earlier reply, if my main door is at East sector, will I still be using the NE flying star chart? Sorry I am indeed very confused. Thanks for your kind advice, I have based on your advice to check on the house leaks. Please refer to my sketch. Are they consider a leak if the main door is opening to a see-through glass wall but not window? What about the mirror in the liv…

Further to what I mentioned earlier, attached please find an illustration (top-view) of the placement of a water position. For the water positon:- 1. Best to avoid ambiguous objects such as a fish with an open mouth and or a frog with an open mouth facing inwards of such a house. Here, this is inauspicious since, such open mouths implies a `hungry fish or frog' that sucks in your already depleted wealth leading to ultimate calamity. 2. If possible, the water feature should have all five elements if possible:- Metal element: circular bowl represents the metal element or a circular ball spouting out water Water element: Needless to say, this is the actual water used in the…

One day, a man was `furiously' thinking of the `cleanest' way to get rid of his wife. (He was having an affair and his mistress had gave him a `dateline' to get rid of his wife.) The man thought of nearly everything but felt that he would most likely be the suspect! He truly wanted to plan and execute a `perfect crime'. He nearly gave up when, one night, he watched the news of how foreign maids often cleaned windows or put out clothings and accidently fall to their death! Oh! He hit on the idea! YES! My current wife fits this profile! She was a housemaker and her moto is " TOO CLEAN ". The man decided to call a friend to pretend to be a "Feng Shui Master". Since his wif…

yap,ok..now i understand more of the 'white fengshui'. but i still have some things that i dont really understand about hyatt. 1. i notice that the ceiling at the lobby of hyatt hotel lobby is of many 'pyramid' shape, is it design in such a way that it is 'fengshuied'?any reason for being in that shape? 2. there are a few circular items in the hotel lobby like the spiral staircase, the flower pot in the middle of the lobby, the siting area which is infront of the staircase. are all these consider as 'metal' elements?(because you had mentioned before that hyatt is using the combination of 3 elements.) 3.i also noticed that the whole lobby area is actually with timber strip…

Dear Spencer, Since the eight house is based on true compass directions; more importantly: 1. Find the centrepoint of the home. 2. Use a compass to first locate the North-South alignment of the home. Please use the information at: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/house1.htm Here, often the solution is to use a transparency; for example those that can be photocopied using a copier (where the transparency - is heat resistant - meant to go into a photocopier). Just superimpose the layout plan to the layout plan. The direction of the interior unit "follows" where the compass markings goes. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Jason, 1. It depends on what you are investigating. 2. Often, a building is investigated especially if the company or business owns the entire building. And, here, the company wants to check it's external Feng Shui especially to see if a water feature or a water / cum mountain feature can be activated e.g. outside the building e.g. frontage, or back. 3. For example, if the building is facing a double #8 under Period 8, which is coming soon. The owner of the building may want to have a cuscading water fall flowing e.g. from left to right of the building to activate #8 mountain with #8 water position at this spot. 4. But, what about the interior of your office? 5. Here…
