Plant watering system: micro drip
Cecil Lee replied to Cecil Lee's topic in Current Affairs & Lifestyle
Below is an analog macro drip module. Used by a condo to water their plants. The macro drip simply means the water pipes are larger. Thus meant to / or capable of watering trees. The digital ones are more costly and some can water an infinite number of times. While most analog ones can only allow two or three watering per 24 hours. If one's garden is the "open air" type; a rain sensor module can even be hooked up to it. Thus should it rain at a specific time; the digital module will know it. And stop delivering water at that time. -
Please see attachment. Outdoors, especially directly below the block, stack, or unit, compass readings can be taken from X to Y and vice versa, and/or from J to K, and/or from H to I, in either direction. Indoors, compass readings should also be taken, such as from the blue-marked points A to B in several locations. It is also recommended to take indoor readings from the green-marked points C to D, or vice versa. Readings taken in the walkway or passageway are optional. For those who prefer a traditional, old-style approach, readings can still be taken from the main door at the green-marked point C looking toward D. For further understanding of what constitutes the frontage or “main door” in modern Feng Shui practice, please refer to the provided resources.

1. You may proceed if you wish. 2. However, my approach depends on the client’s specific block, stack, or unit, as readings must be taken for that exact location. In some cases, it is acceptable to take combined readings for Block 154 with 156. Similarly, Blocks 158 with 160, and Blocks 162 with 164 will each have their own paired readings. 2.1. I have explained the purpose of these readings. While you may choose to estimate readings from a remote location, this method is not acceptable for us as geomancers—especially for this development—where accurate, confirmed readings are essential. 2.2. On-site, close-up readings using a reliable compass are required, and multiple measurements will be taken. Examples include: 2.2.1. Standing inside the main door and looking outwards. 2.2.2. In the living room, looking out through the balcony. 2.2.3. From a bedroom, looking out of its windows. 2.3. Readings will also be taken directly below the specific block (see attached illustration). This involves systematic readings along both the X and Y axes of the block, in addition to readings taken inside the unit. 2.3.1. For example, to determine the compass readings for Block 156, stack 26: - In addition to interior readings, I would stand at the red-marked point “A” and take a reading toward “B,” and vice versa. - Additional readings might include standing at the blue-marked point “C” and taking a reading toward “D” and/or “E,” among others. 2.4. Such readings simply cannot be done remotely from a location away from the actual block. In Compass School practice, readings must ultimately be taken within the unit itself. 3. Please note that in many other developments this level of precision may not be necessary. Even if there is a margin of error of several degrees, it is often still possible to identify the unit’s correct Flying Star direction clearly.

1. In my opinion, a solid brass compass is low-tech but highly accurate. 2. The photo shows the solid brass compass with a high-quality protractor attached beneath it. The protractor allows measurements to be taken in precise one-degree increments. 3. This setup combines a compass with a protractor add-on. 4. I have used this setup for many years, and the protractor now shows a yellowish aging. It was originally clear white. 5. I will be using this especially at The Brownstone EC.

Growing bamboo trees on a balcony Certain trees are not appropriate at one's apartment balcony. For example; bamboo trees need as much height as possible. In this photo, the trees have even exceeded the height of the owners balcony ceiling. It is dangerous to trim the trees now. Even if the upper floor neighbour gave them permission to do so. Cannot also image the amount of falling leaves to neighbors below...

These are some considerations: 1. My main concern is that the units do not fall between N1 and NW3, and likewise, not between S1 and SE3. 2. If an individual block, stack, or unit can be confirmed as belonging to a distinct Flying Star direction, such as N1 or S1, then the standard guidelines apply. 3. To determine whether a unit is in N1 or NW3, it is best to use a reliable compass, such as a solid brass one. 3.1. Alternatively, I checked the website one.map.sg. In the bottom right corner of their map, they reference “data.gov.sg,” which can serve as the default standard to confirm compass directions if the method in paragraph 3 does not give an accurate reading. 4. From your message, it appears you are quite certain that the blocks or stacks are aligned to N1 or S1. 4.1. As mentioned earlier, I need to visit each specific block in person to confirm the readings. A reading from one block cannot be assumed to apply to all others, as builders sometimes align each block slightly differently. 4.2. Such slight deviations cannot be detected by the naked eye. Therefore, even the approach in paragraph 3.1 must be applied carefully and individually, as noted in paragraph 4.1. 5. If a layout falls within N1 or S1, then concepts such as the “Maximizing Marks” method can be applied: http://www.geomancy.net/wiki/The_Concept_of_Maximizing_Marks

For info, the forum reviews are basic and an overview. Frankly what you mentioned is beyond the advice of the forum. -
1. Can or cannot buy is to determine which stacks are better or ranked in that order. 2. Thus the review will show ranking:- a. 1st Choice = stack #03 b. 2nd Choice = stack #02 c. 3rd Choice = stack #05. 3. After which one may use this to find out which unit-level is better:- http://www.geomancy.net/reports/reports-list/hselist-houseno.htm (Overall, this has lesser weightage than a better stack). Hope that helps. Free report:-

1. Please see attachment. 1.1 Red arrow points to stack #2 1.2 Yellow arrow points to stack #12 2.1 The above are considered as stacks in a block. 3. Compass School Feng Shui = East or West Group person relies only on a. Year of birth and b. Gender. 4. However if it is combined with Ba zi Feng Shui then on occasions one's element can change. 5. Thus time of birth is considered as "Nice-to" have. Frankly if really don't have then leave it.

Part 2: The Alps Residences at Tampines Avenue 10 - These flat roof-lines are also potential poison arrows if there are no trees between it and the block/stack/unit. 1. The distance between it and the block/stack/unit should also be taken into consideration when considering whether it is a poison arrow or not. 2. Looks like for this development, be extra careful (if any) of especially purchasing what looks like 2nd storey units, here

Part 1: The Alps Residences at Tampines Avenue 10 & roof-lines of the ancillary buildings/trellis 1. The roof-lines of the ancillary buildings / trellis at The Alps Residences is considered unfriendly. 2. Please see attachment. 2.1. For building "A" which is the club-house cum function room; the building is very close to a particular block/stack. 2.2. I have highlighted in yellow a unit at 2nd storey that may have a potential poison arrow aimed towards it from the club-house roof-line. 2.3. There is another trellis court-yard. Which I had marked in red as "B". This court-yard is also close to a block/stack/unit. Thus it may be a potential sha qi or poison arrow depending on whether there are trees between it and this court-yard. (I have not actually studied the full layout. Thus if this court-yard building is not aimed towards a unit; then no issue.) 3. If there are trees with large foliage between either building A and the block/stack/unit; then this may also not be an issue.

Bedok Residences Condo - Which units are lucky today?
Cecil Lee replied to Cecil Lee's topic in Singapore Property Review
Bedok Residences Condo and Flying Star Feng Shui 1. Occasionally, the North compass marking on the sales brochure may differ from the markings on streetdirectory or onemap.sg. The sales brochure’s North marking can sometimes be inaccurate. 2. I compared both the streetdirectory and the sales brochure for Bedok Residences, and both confirm that the units face either the Flying Stars N1 or S2 directions. 3. If you’re interested in purchasing a new stack or unit, always verify the direction using a street directory, whether it’s a paper copy or an online version. 3.1 Even if the block outline hasn’t been drawn on the street directory, you should still be able to find the correct direction for straightforward site plans like Bedok Residences. -
Bedok Residences Condo - Which units are lucky today?

Bedok Residences Condo and Flying Star Feng Shui Most stacks and units in this development face either the Flying Stars Period 8 N1 or S1 directions. N1 orientation features the auspicious double 8 stars at its frontage, making it especially favorable if there is a water feature present. The most auspicious stacks are #33, #34, #35, #40, #41, and #43. It is ideal if the master bedroom is located in the northeast sector, which benefits from the positive star combination of MS#6 and WS#1. A bedroom in the east sector is also favorable, especially if used as a study. Other sectors may have inauspicious stars and could require remedies. For S1 orientation, stacks such as #03, #04, #05, #09, #10, and #11 have the combined wealth stars MS#8 and WS#8 located at the rear of the unit. Unfortunately, these stars are often in the kitchen and yard area. It is beneficial if a bedroom is located in the east sector, as this is good for studying. If the main entrance is in the northeast, this is excellent due to the favorable combination of MS#1 and WS#6 stars in that sector. -

Bedok Residences Condo: Mounting a TV on a Solid Concrete or Dry Wall 1. Please refer to the sample layout for type PH10. 2. In this illustration, the TV console is intentionally positioned on the same wall as bedroom 4. 3. Based on the layout, it appears that the wall between the living room and bedroom 4 is a solid concrete or pre-cast wall, rather than a dry wall. As a result, there is less concern about mounting a TV on this wall and EMF radiation affecting the other side, specifically bedroom 4. 4. If you do not plan to place a bed-head as shown in the bedroom 4 sample, then these considerations, especially regarding a dry wall, would not apply. -

Bedok Residences Condo: Kitchen Layout and Practical Considerations 1. Please take a look at this kitchen layout plan. 2. While the sink and stove should ideally be separated or kept a distance apart—such as around 60 cm if they are on a straight line— 3. In this layout (PH11), the stove and sink are positioned on separate islands. In theory, this is a good or even excellent arrangement. 4. However, after cooking, you often need to carry items like a wok to the sink for washing. This design does not provide a smooth workflow. 5. Some owners choose to remove the kitchen door, replace it with a sliding door, or install a barn-style door on the exterior wall of the kitchen. 5.1. It’s important to be cautious with these changes. Since the stove is located near the kitchen entrance, windy days can pose safety hazards depending on how the wind flows. 5.2. For example, if someone—especially a child—walks into the kitchen while strong winds blow toward the entrance, it can be dangerous. 5.3. If strong winds come in through the kitchen, with either a sliding door or no door, a wind vortex may blow hot air toward anyone standing in front of the stove. 6. There is also a risk of the flame going out on a gas stove due to gusts of wind. This issue would not occur with an electric or induction stove. -
If you have the time, please go through this thread:- 1. Why some geomancers use the front door as the frontage 2. While the rest consider standing e.g. inside the living room looking out of the apartment. 2.1. The key success factor or rationale for finding the facing direction is to facilitate the use of Flying Stars to best understand the qi (chi) of the unit. And the key to this is to find the most "yang" qi sector of the home (facing direction) from where one can plot the relevant flying stars onto it.
