What about one legged tables? This depends on the centre-of-gravity of the table. For example, if one leans hard on one side of the table; can the table "topple" down?

Please draw a parallel from this maxim from "a school of snipers": One shot, one kill. What you mentioned looks more like our Singlish terms: Not only being Kiasu (Hokkien dialect term for scared to lose) but more like also Kiasee (scared to DIE!)

Similar concern:- New home and "Do we need to take note of anything due to my wife pregnancy?" Reply:- 1. Based on general Chinese customs; to avoid moving the existing bed of conception. 2. If you need to move the bed, Mrs must not see the move and later, should not visit the bedroom and see that it is moved. 2.1 The above is the most important Chinese consideration. 3. Thus visiting the new home to collect keys etc.. is a non issue. But, once a while some parents tell their daughter in law cannot do so. etc.. But this is more of the conservative side. 2.2 Also do check with parents. As some parents have additional taboos if any. As different elders have different concerns. 3. Another common sense is that during the move; best that Mrs stay away especially if heavy furniture and items are moved.

This Chinese restaurant @ Aperia Mall, Kallang displays a pair of an old school pair of qi lin(s). This version is rarely or never found in homes. More like it belongs to the Ming Tombs or rather guarding the Ming Tombs of China

The Atria@ Meyer Nowadays, the guard house in a condo is often done as an after thought. I find the guard house of The Atria @ Meyer both stylish and of timeless beauty. Whenever I pass-by this structure (the guard house); I often, pause to look at it. And it truly looked beautiful which ever side, front, left or right one looks at it...

Some Chinese feel that it is cruel to cage-up birds. Thus, any designs incorporating a bird-cage is a no no to these group of persons.

Dear Mirena Nikolova, > I think I will go with traditional feng shui from China.i will try to apply Bagua map,4 Pillar etc.....Could you please guide me how to do that correctly?Since there are a lot of information on the Internet from different sites, sometimes I get confused. ActuallyI had a consultant here in Denmark which uses Nine star ki and Bagua map on our house, but in a bit different way than I have seen before and in one of the kids rooms the most available space for furnitures in this room are the negative directions for my girl according to nine star ki. using Kua number for this room the directions are positive .Feel free to use Geomancy.net's full range of free tools (Eight House/Ba Zi/Flying Star) in our Member area:-http://login.geomancy.netAnd learning resources which you can read up:-http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-tour.htmBut you will need to spend some time to read them in order to learn and understand the various tools and application. If you are looking looking for to apply them immediately hassle free, we can also help you on that. It is a common misconception that a prominent storefront is essential for achieving success. However, if the layout of the escalator remains unchanged, particularly with the downward escalator positioned on the left side as indicated in the image, it could negatively impact the Feng Shui of the shop and result in a decline in business.

The main grille gates of this development does not have those privacy panels at the lower panel of the main grille gate. Actually, these privacy panels (see one of the photos in shaded purple area) services a few purpose. One is that when the gates are closed; no one can look or peer into the gap of the wooden door and the floor.

HDB PASIR RIS ONE It was 1.30pm. And I went to a unit located at the end of one of the corridors. The passage way is narrow. And for privacy issues; both sides of the corridor leading to several main entrances were installed with the privacy screens. And like; at 1.30pm; the end of the corridor where these units are are so ... so dark. From a Flying Star point of view; the main entrance area, been so dark; cannot be the frontage of the apartments/home.

Traditional vs nine-star ki 1. This illustration shows at a glance; the major difference between the two. 2. On the right side of the illustration; one can see that the Traditional authentic Chinese system has lots of modules and concepts. 2.1 Not only one has to do homework to find out one's kua, one's best element and strength e.g. strong wood or weak wood etc... One also has to plot the Flying stars et... 3. Contrast this with the nine-star ki which comes packaged into one package. 3.1 This is perhaps the only advantage I consider the nine-star ki with: it has less of a steep knowledge curve as compared to the traditional that's all. 4. In my opinion, IT STILL retains one concept: THE FIVE ELEMENTS concept. Otherwise; it's a Japanese twist.
-
These are some considerations: 1. In general, it is the consensus of most that the Compass School Feng Shui which includes the Kua & Flying Stars which also uses the nine sectors originated from China. 2. Somewhere, along the line; this was imported into Japan. And most likely, as you had mentioned; "turned upside down". Such that what is positive becomes negative and vice versa. 3. And yes, one should not try to mix the two: kua vs the nine star ki. 4. Today, especially around 1985 onwards; some British practitioners begin to adopt and apply the nine-star ki method. 4.1 And some find it to be a seamless "one-package" deal. Vs the traditional Feng Shui with so many modules: and not only the mastery but also Compass Schools ; 4 Pillars; Five Elements but the complexity of applying them. Here, there are many who still cannot grasp all of the concepts. 4.2 And in my opinion, this is why it has led some to find that they do not need to mix and match all the concepts as nine-star ki comes in a "lovely" package. 5. Do take note that it is best that if one is totally into the nine star ki - go forth and apply it as a "PACKAGE". And best advice is not to mix IT with what I mentioned under Para 1. 6. As you my site; of course, as a Chinese as well as a site that is considered as applying Traditional and authentic Chinese Feng Shui; you can expect a certain bias for the Chinese system. 6.1. There are lots of Feng Shui practitioners; here (Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand = Far East) that practises Para 1. And it is also in Taiwan, Hong Kong and now with the demise of communism; re-exported back to the origin China. 7. As you come from an European country and perhaps, may be more available to books (British authors) on nine-star ki; then it is more of a preference. 8. In the past, many of the Traditional Feng Shui such as the Kua (Gua) were written in Mandarin and appeal more to those who can comprehend Mandarin. 9. But nowadays, there is an abundance of and understanding of the Tradtional Feng Shui vs the nine-star ki. Thus, no excuse to really, specialise or go with the "horses" mouth than the nine-star ki.

Stacks such as19, 20, 23, 24, 15, 16, 04, 03, 08, 07 are considered as SE3 facing etc... SE3 (142.5-157.4) - South-East Main Door Facing (150) 20-Year Chart South-East (Wood) 1 Water 8 Earth 7 Metal Po Jun Xing, Burglary, Violence, Fading Prosperity Year 2015 2 Earth Jan Feb Mar Apr May Jun 6 Metal 5 Earth 4 Wood 3 Wood 2 Earth (1) Water Jul Aug Sep Oct Nov Dec 9 Fire 8 Earth 7 Metal 6 Metal 5 Earth 4 Wood NOTE: Month's should be taken as the Chinese Lunar Month) Breadwinner's Suitability Depends on one's Eight House chart Current Sector Description Generally the facing direction of a SE3 stack/unit is the Po Jun Xing, Burglary, Violence, Fading Prosperity (7) area. Fortunately, from now to 2023, there is a current prosperity #8 water wealth star, here. Thus,up to 2023, do "thank god" for the #8 star. Eight-One Combination Explanation From now to 2023, #8 being the current prosperity water wealth star helps. If the stack/unit faces a water position e.g. the pool. Thus block 9 stacks 19, 20, Block 11 stacks 23 and 24 are pool facing - these are preferred over non-pool facing SE3 stacks. But after 2024, #8 becomesthe past prosperity wealth star thus will take the following significance:- [1] & [8] -Loss of wealth (!-- cur_result3 -- 1. The plus point or saving grace for this development is to try to select a stack/unit with a pool side view. As this can be a significant buffer against the not so good sectors in the other areas /parts of the apartment. 2. Fortunately, the SE3 facing stacks have a corresponding NW3 facing stacks to "act" as a "mountain" support. Else, it is very inauspicious for such SE3 stacks/units to standalone with a water position e.g. pool at the back of the home! 3. Unlike, a NW3 facing unit/home; a SE3 facing home after 2021.. 2024 onwards till 2043 has the Mountain Star #9 at the centre palace or sector of the home. Being a mountain star; it can be located at the centre of the home. Contrast this to the water star #9 of NW3 facing chart after this period. 4. For this SE3 facing direction ideally, best that the master bedroom or other bedrooms are not located in especially the South and South-West direction (sector) South-West direction 20-Year Chart South-West (Earth) 3 Wood 1 Water 5 Earth Lian Zhen Xing, Misfortune, Sickness Year 2015 9 Fire Jan Feb Mar Apr May Jun 4 Wood 3 Wood 2 Earth 1 Water 9 Fire (8) Earth Jul Aug Sep Oct Nov Dec 7 Metal 6 Metal 5 Earth 4 Wood 3 Wood 2 Earth NOTE: Month's should be taken as the Chinese Lunar Month) Breadwinner's Suitability Please ignore the above Year 2015 stars box. Current Sector Description Generally this location is your Lian Zhen Xing, Misfortune, Sickness (5) area. This means that if you sent too much time at this location, most likely you will fall seriously ill unless there are a combination of two lucky stars in this location. Try to select a unit if possible where the master bedroomand/or other bedrooms are within this sector Eight-One Combination Explanation [3] & [1] - Quarrels, bad luck, lawsuit, lost of wealth. Five Element Analysis (Mountain vs Water) Analysing: Strong Wood (3) vs Weak Water (1) Strong Wood (3) (Inauspicious Star) represents Lu Cun Xing, Disputes, Quarrels, Conflicts. Weak Water (1) (Auspicious Star) represents Tan Lang Xing, Career and Income. Relationship Analysis Wood (3) helps to exhausts Water (1). Water element is weaken by Wood, which in turn makes Wood stronger. Wood star is inauspicious, and there is no elements to control or neturalize it. Thus, this is considered an inauspicious combination. Five Element Analysis (20-Year Star vs Year Star) Analysing: Strong Earth (5) vs Weak Fire (9) Strong Earth (5) (Inauspicious Star) represents Lian Zhen Xing, Misfortune, Sickness. Fire element is weaken by Earth, which in turn makes Earth stronger. Earth star is inauspicious, and there is no elements to control or neturalize it. Thus, this is considered an inauspicious combination. Proposed Solution Make use of Metal (white/gold) to exhaust and weaken Earth South direction 20-Year Chart South (Fire) 5 Earth 3 Wood 3 Wood Lu Cun Xing, Disputes, Quarrels, Conflicts Year 2015 7 Metal Jan Feb Mar Apr May Jun 2 Earth 1 Water 9 Fire 8 Earth 7 Metal (6) Metal Jul Aug Sep Oct Nov Dec 5 Earth 4 Wood 3 Wood 2 Earth 1 Water 9 Fire Duplicate Water Star NOTE: Month's should be taken as the Chinese Lunar Month) Breadwinner's Suitability Please ignore 2015 stars and this box Current Sector Description Generally this location is your Lu Cun Xing, Disputes, Quarrels, Conflicts (3) area. Avoid spending too much time here unless there is an auspicious star in this location. Try to select a unit if possible where the master bedroomand/or other bedrooms are within this sector Eight-One Combination Explanation [5] & [3] - Conflict of Star 5 with Star 3. Lost of Wealth, injuries which could lead to death. Five Element Analysis (Mountain vs Water) Analysing: Strong Earth (5) vs Strong Wood (3) Strong Earth (5) (Inauspicious Star) represents Lian Zhen Xing, Misfortune, Sickness. Strong Wood (3) (Inauspicious Star) represents Lu Cun Xing, Disputes, Quarrels, Conflicts. Relationship Analysis Earth (5) is controlled by Wood (3). Wood element helps to destroy Earth weaken it. Both stars are inauspicious. Luckily, Earth is weaken but there is no elements to control Wood. Thus, this is considered an inauspicious combination. Five Element Analysis (20-Year Star vs Year Star) Analysing: Strong Wood (3) vs Weak Metal (7) Strong Wood (3) (Inauspicious Star) represents Lu Cun Xing, Disputes, Quarrels, Conflicts. Weak Metal (7) (Inauspicious Star) represents Po Jun Xing, Burglary, Violence, Fading Prosperity. Relationship Analysis Wood (3) is controlled by Metal (7). Metal element helps to destroy Wood weaken it. Both stars are inauspicious. Luckily, Wood is weaken but there is no elements to control Metal. Thus, this is considered an inauspicious combination. Proposed Solution Make use of Fire (red) to destroy and control Metal
