Dear Donna, 1. Please refer to my earlier message. In general green represents growth and it is one of the recommended colours. 2. However, I personall feel that Feng Shui is not a `cure' all. It helps to enhance Qi. But in terms of human behaviour and interaction, this is more towards other disciplines such as Ba Zi (Pillars of Destiny). In your environment, since there are so many individuals, it is not practical to try to use Ba Zi as it involves many people and their `interaction/cross-interaction' with each other. In my opinion, this is why, we often hear that once a person gets to be 18 years or especially 21 years of age, it is pretty difficult to `change' someone…

Dear Cecil, Thank you so very much for your reply to my question about the beams. If I choose to use the bamboo flute remedy, should the flutes be attached lenghtwise or across the beams? (Does it matter?) And should I use a red cord on the flutes? How many flutes per beam? I have heard two. I so appreciate your time in responding to my concerns. Thank you, Sheila

Dear Joe, A staircase facing the bedroom door is considered inauspicious because of Sha Qi. This is because of the negative flow of Qi of the staircase that flows directly into the bedroom (if the door is not closed). No matter if the stairs is facing the bedroom i.e. upwards movement or at the main entrance door, you see the staircase, both are considered inauspicious. A staircase should not go straight up but have a turn or landing is better to reduce Sha Qi. Placing a mirror at the landing or turn is not compulsory. Normally if space permits, a plant at one side of the steps (at ground level) is useful. Warmest Regards, Cecil -----Original Message----- From: Listmanage…

Dear Sudha, Thanks for taking the time to do a Eight House. 1. Based on your Eight House: N = Longevity NE = Disaster (Currently the door of the house) E = Prosperity SE = Health S = Excellent SW = Irritation W = Spook NW = Death Since SE is the health line, is it possible for your head to face East (Prosperity), South (Excellent), North (Longevity) or SE (Health). These are the sectors your head should face. 2. Another observation is that where possible it is best to sleep with the head rest against a wall rather than on an `island' on its own. 3. You should also watch out for `poision arrows' since there are three cupboards. Look out for the edge of these cupboards. If …

1. Please see attachment. 2. Marking in RED "A' is an actual beam. And in Chinese metaphyics, this beam can exert negative qi downards to the ground. 3. See marking GREEN "B". The overhead support has it's load transferred to the side wall. Thus, it should not be considered as a beam as defined under Para 2, above that caused sha qi. Note: While it is true that both marking A and B are supported by horiziontal support ceiling; marking B unlike A is also supported by vertical or side wall. And the main load is forced down towards the side-wall.

Hi, tan jhj wrote: this ziwei master kept a copy of my ziwei analysis, saying it is for his database when i ask the ziwei chart from him. In general, this is entirely up to the consultant whether or not they do want to keep a copy or not. It really depends a lot on what kind of services they offer. For example, any face-to-face analysis, usually is done on the spot. So any information analysed should be given to the client. No real need to keep a copy. Even if they do keep a copy (usually to make it easy for their clients to ask further advise or request for it again if they lost it), they should remove/destroy the data should you do not want them to keep it. For exam…

Dear Anon, 1. One method to address this situation is to position the ancestor tablet to the left of the table when facing the altar, ensuring that the table is slightly lower than the deity located on the right. 2. Historically, some individuals have constructed a niche directly above the refrigerator to accommodate their ancestor tablet. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: There is a brand new rental home that we are considering renting. However, this house is situated on the end of a T intersection and faces a short cul de sac street with 6 to 8 houses. Is this a bad homefor feng shui purposes. The original owner built the house but does not want to live in it per the advise of their feng shui advisor. I can send yousome pictures if needed. I am hesitant about renting the house because my father is in poor health and I don't want this to further affect health if he moves into the house. It is best if you can look for another house. As it is never a good house if it is at the end of T intersection and faces a sho…

Dear Leslie, Thanks for sharing with all of us your experience on how you got started on Feng Shui. I guess most users started `learning' Feng Shui from various sources. For those fortunate to live in countries in the Far East such as Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia and Singapore or Canada (where some FS Masters have migrated from Hong Kong) these users, if they are lucky could study under a FS Master. Alternatively, if you are near to Feng Shui `centres' in US, England or Australia, this would be a good way to learn. However, the next best alternative are as you have mentioned Feng Shui books. Currently, there are so many good Feng Shui authors around and you can choose from…

Dear Pam, A ditch is considered as drainage in a home. And should not be confused with the "water-on-mountain" theory such as whether it negates the sum-of-ten or not. What above means is that simply any water feature (not ditch) found on a mountain star particularly under this Period 8 : Mountain Star #8 (current prosperity) or Mountain Star #9 (future prosperity). In particular if "water-is-on-this-mountain" water on #8 location, then this will affect one's lottery, human relationship / networking luck. For a water star #8 it refers to earned luck and general prosperity of a home. In your case, it is best to look at the Chinese compass school of whether there is ac…

Yes, if google map does show the outline of your new home; you can use the method I mentioned earlier via a protractor to determine the correct facing direction of a home. Even if one is standing on an empty land try to take a few readings as sometimes there may be metal objects embedded in the hidden ground. Things like a manhole cover can give off false reading. Or a concrete path which often has a metal mesh to strengthen it. Anything with metal is detrimental to the compass reading. Alternatively, as mentioned previously; you couldseek help from the architectural firm to provide you with the blueprint of your home. Mostof such blueprint should actually have a North m…

These are some of the considerations: 1. Contrary to whatever belief that one has; it does not mean that it is considered inauspicious to have main gates of "properties" be it one large or huge facing a puny or tiny next door building that may not be that large. 2. Don't ever be mistaken that this equate e.g. a BIG fat mouth trying to swallow a SMALLer piece of land or building. Nothing of this sort! 3. In fact, one plus point in such an arrangement is that there will be little or no likelyhood of the REAL threat such as a lone lamp-post or a sign post or even a tree trunk from the opposite side "sliding" towards one's main gate area. 4. Although shifting the main gate ha…

I have 3 friends stay at the property name called 'The Rivervale' 1 facing punggol park, 1 facing the temple and another one is facing the Swimming pool. The husband staying at the one facing punggol park and temple died at mid age (around 43) and the one facing swimming pool is alway sick. Any big problem of the Feng Shui there, anyway can solve? In my opinion, it is best to seek expert advise, as no two units even on different levels are the same. Coincidentally, another development (a few km away from The Rivervale) called "The Rivervale Crest" condo has some problems, also:- 1. Please see my forum posting on Tue, 29 Jul 2003, 06:39 AM "2. Rivervale Cr…

Dear Carina, Please see below:- If you can provide me with a rough sketch e.g. a graphic file attachment it would help. It is very difficult to provide u a `detailed' comment such as whether a corner is at threat or not just on a few sentences. For heat, or heat on the wall and you can still feel it in the evening, there is no Feng Shui method to measure how `inaupicious it is. Where possible, no direct sun light is best or if possible, keep the bed away from the affected wall if possible. So long as the room temperature is comfortable, this is ok. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, I agree with you. Currently, there is no facts or statistics (if any) to show that King sized beds are `worse' off. So long as it is a `whole' bed such as a King sized bed, in my opinion, there is no negative effects to prove otherwise at the moment. Warmest Regards, Cecil Hi Anon Don't frighten me! Actually we like King size bed. Can turn here and there ,HAHA. Besides changing the bed, do anyone out there have any more ideas? I don't know why but I can't believe or rather don't understand that why king size bed can led to divorce???? Thanks Stupid Anon Dear Anon, Why cant you simply exchange the King size bed with the Queen size bed. Well I read in the m…

Dear Eugena, Basically, flat number is a additionalflying starnnumber analysis to help determine which unit number in an apartment with the same layout is better. For example is #06-08 better than #12-08? etc. Very useful in house hunting process where you have two units of the exact same layout and facing, except they are on different levels. Hope that helps.
